    When I first began painting, I was afraid to try to paint your work, as it is so professional. After viewing your work, I became less fearful of trying to paint with your directions. I am seventy-seven years old and slowly going blind, so I want to paint as much as I can before the inevitable. Thank you so much; you are an excellent teacher. It is obvious teaching others is in your heart.

    your 10m painting took me almost 3 hours! I find it difficult to rid myself of being a perfectionist. Which can be the death of a painting. Well done!

      Same here. I hate to admit that I go threw canvases the same way I might turn the page of a book. I mess up, I don't correct I start over.

    I stumbled across your channels accidentally but I absolutely love this painting. I'm in love with the night sky so seeing you paint this amaze me. I'm a beginner painter myself but I'm kind of unique I have to paint with my mouth I lost my right arm in an accident and I'm paralyzed from the chest down so that's the only way I can do it. I would love to chat with you and get some tips and tricks of the trade.

    • @RyanORourkeArtist
      @RyanORourkeArtist  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      More red than white is advised. The more white we add the less saturated the pigment becomes. It's also worth noting that the pink isn't actually a very bright pigment. It just looks bright because the colors around it are so dark. I hope that helps!

    This looks so easy... But as beginner its like.. How in the world can i do this? Just tried ur Savanna and it looked okay. One Question , i didnt understood how ur Acryl is so wet. Do you use so much water? Or is it because theres already a layer under it? Greets from germany

    • @RyanORourkeArtist
      @RyanORourkeArtist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The paint remains wet for a longer period of time because I work with a relatively damp brush on this one. I essentially just dip the bottom third of my bristles in some water, tap the brush on some paper towel to remove the excess (and change it from wet to damp) and then grab my paint. Hope that helps and greetings from Canada!
