You've really inspired me to do more smaller paintings with a limited palette, and I have to say it's a lot harder than I imagined but fun all the same. I can't manage something like this in 10 minutes, but I'm going to get there! Thanks for these videos Ryan, they're so helpful.
You're such an awesome person and instructor, you have no idea how many people you inspire in this world. You are a blessing. Happy Earth Day. Your paintings make me feel that I can do just a little bit more to finish, and you ALWAYS. ALWAYS, end your tutorials with STAY CREATIVE!! That inspires me. Thank you very much!!!
I enjoy watching bob ross' tutorials and recreating them. One other person is you i think. I love your ten minute videos. Its quick and inspiring to do. I already recreated your mountains painting. And that was my best one. I wish i could show it to you. Also, Your voice reminds me of Adam's from the parenthood. Keep up the good work.
Love your lessons, watch them all and I get so much information in these 10+min paintings. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent and giving up your time to do these awesome lessons for us, I always look forward to the next one....cheers Mel..
I have recommended your videos to my art class; they are learning acrylics, and I think your videos can be very helpful. You explain yourself well and it is easy to see how to do what you are talking about. :)
Gotta tell you, I'm very impressed with your 10 Minute Painting series. You create really cool little paintings and give enough instruction that we, out here, feel like Hey, YA, I can do that!! I enjoy listening to you and - Thanks for sharing your talents!
I really want to thank you for doing this. I'm having so much fun, and being so impressed with myself. I would love to share it, as you mentioned in one of your films. I've known about you for 24 hours, and made 3 pieces so far. I really appreciate it. I hope you are doing great and get supported financially well trough the adverts. Namaste, Thank you :-)
Hi Ryan, your videos are so useful.... thank you. can you also show some flower paintings? and you description is just right. not too much not too less....
get a synthetic brush with veeeeeeeeeeeeery stiff bristles and start smashing it against a hard surface, and no surprise, u wreck your brush, but it is good for creating that effect. (use cheap brushes)
Very calming. If I wanted to make this into the northern light, would I make the mountains a little smaller and the trees just a bit smaller and shorter? Please and thank you.
You don’t have to incorporate them in your rendition :) I do prefer the piece with the trees. With that said, just so you’re aware. Art is innately subjective. It cannot be objectively measured and thus assertions like ‘best’ are improper nomenclature. (Unless of course you preface your statement with the notion that it is in fact your opinion) The same rule applies to other artistic endeavors which do not have a universally agreed on fixed set of standards such as film :)
I’m having so many problems since I’m a literal beginner in painting. I was gonna do this with a pair supposedly, although, everybody already has a partner for our high school project..
I actually don't advise painting on paper. With the amount of layering we do it will probably warp. I'm using a small canvas board here. In regards to what you should wet, I just generally ensure that my brush is damp :)
Thank you, you are a very good teacher, generous with explanations and inspiration, with a pleasant voice!

Thank you!!
Very very beautiful painting
I like that it's very inspired by Bob Ross, but you're not trying to be him, you're doing it your own natural way. It doesn't feel forced. Good job!
You made that look so simple!. Beautiful!
Another great lesson, and painting Ryan! I am so glad you talked about evergreen trees and how to paint them. I've been struggling a bit with them.
Thank you! I'm really happy to hear that you found the lesson helpful!

Hi Ryan, your videos are so useful.... thank you. can you also show some flower paintings? and you description is just right. not too much not too less....
I've thought about it and intend to do some flower paintings for summer. Thank you!
@@RyanORourkeArtist I can't find your book for beginners
really wonderful painting. can u do 10~min water colour painting?
Could you please give some tips about the paint, wetting the brushes/surface, and the equipment if one wished to recreate your paintings on a wall?
nice
When you did the clouds, did you use water, glaze or just a really soft touch to make it look ethereal?
It was actually a good mix of both water and a soft touch :)
Absolutely stunning! But what if we do not have an "old square brush" for the background gradient/trees? I only have new brushes 😬
get a synthetic brush with veeeeeeeeeeeeery stiff bristles and start smashing it against a hard surface, and no surprise, u wreck your brush, but it is good for creating that effect. (use cheap brushes)
Haha, great advise!
Very calming. If I wanted to make this into the northern light, would I make the mountains a little smaller and the trees just a bit smaller and shorter? Please and thank you.
If you really want to accentuate the northern lights that sounds like a good option!
Stay Creative Painting thank you! I appreciate your quick reply.
It looks best without the trees.

Ryan O'Rourke - Artist I didn't think you would reply lol, either way it looks amazing, great work and thanks for all the artsy tips!
Very easy idea can you please mention colour name also
Wheter this paint Use PostersPaint can?
I’m having so many problems since I’m a literal beginner in painting. I was gonna do this with a pair supposedly, although, everybody already has a partner for our high school project..
can we recreate these with a bigger canvas or does it work best to use a small canvas?
It will work on a larger canvas :)
My name is William Yang and I'm a artist
I am stuck on the detail of the mountains. How the heck do you do that? I keep watching but mine looks terrible. Lol.
Um...do I have to wet the paper first or the paints, plz help , im new to poster paints
I actually don't advise painting on paper. With the amount of layering we do it will probably warp. I'm using a small canvas board here. In regards to what you should wet, I just generally ensure that my brush is damp :)
+Ryan O'Rourke - Artist okay thanks alot :) , you are really talented by the way , Ma Sha Allah
sorry, did you add a water?
My brush is almost always damp

Мне безумно нравится! Но, как жаль, что я не понимаю ни слова!😢
