This trailer doesn't do justice to the fact that this movie has a monk who skateboards like Marty McFly. I don't know whether including that would turn people off of it or make it into a mega-blockbuster, but I sure loved it. This is definitely one of the goofiest, yet awsomest medieval adventure films ever.
Margaret Hodges' retelling of Saint George and the Dragon was so inspiring to me as a child that I am now listening to a reading of The Legende of the Knight of the Red Crosse or Holinesse from Edmund Spencer's The Faerie Queene as research for an RPG character I'm making who's based off Princess Una. I think I'll add this film to my list!
What on earth is this? It looks like a live action version of Shrek...... Clumsy hero, fiesty sasy princess, wisecracking sidekick, check. Saint George was a roman solider of Greek descent not an English medival knight....
probably just the difference in budget, and time. Jurassic Park was 1994 I think, but they had like 2 years to work on the cgi cause it was the first extensive use of cgi of its kind. The CGI in JP1 is still better than the cgi in the new Jurassic World movies if you ask me. I think it has a lot to do with time spent on details. Today they are just rushing movies into theatres.

2004 and the animation is as bad as in 1999.
I wonder how Saphira's animation got so stunning within just two years.
