Atlanta's airport does not offer luggage storage on site due to safety regulations at this airport. But there are spots near the airport or around Atlanta that offers storage. You may check sites like usebounce.com/city/atlanta/atlanta-airport or vertoe.com/luggage-storage/atlanta/atlanta-airport to help find a storage facility that works for you.
These are all great tips! I heard that Atlanta is one of the busiest US airports but didn't know it was the WORLD'S busiest airport!! This information would be very helpful for anyone traveling to, from, or through. Airports always stress me out - even ones I'm familiar with - it's my least favourite part of travelling. Thanks for sharing the details to help for a smoother experience.
Yes, it has been the world’s busiest since 1998 (with the exception of 2020 but we know what happened there lol). And the final numbers just came out a few days ago for 2022 and it was confirmed again with ATL followed by DFW, DEN, ORD, DXB and LAX. And I’m glad you found this helpful!
Thanks for the tour of Atlantas Airport. I am always getting lost so hopefully this will help me out haha. I deff want to visit Georgia within the next year, I am actually looking to buy some land down south and start growing my own food, and I found in my research that Georgia has very fertile soil so, lets see what happens with that. Thankfully there is a shuttle as well because again, I get lost sooooo easy.
You're welcome! I hope this will help whenever you have to fly here. I will have a part 2 of the Atlanta airport navigation soon. And just be careful as a lot of places in Georgia also have clay which can get super hard if it hasn't rain in a while. Been there done that while planting trees lol.
Thank you so much! Flying to Atlanta to help my boyfriend move in with me and I was super nervous because there are so many areas of the airport, you helped ease that stress, subscription earned!❤
Luckily for me it's easier to do a 3hr drive to ATL! Both times I went ATL I had a ride there. But the people who do need the airport, a visual ais is always helpful 🤗
Oh gosh ATL’s airport truly is insane. Chicago O’hare’s airport is pretty wild too but yes Atlanta beats it. I use to live in Georgia and would fly Delta because I loved how they had their own separate section lol. You gave very detailed tips, thank you!
Yeah I would say ORD is definitely not that efficient. First off, the terminals are not in alphabetical order which can make it confusing. And yes, flying out of ATL, you are more than likely going to take Delta as they have plenty of flight options. Glad you enjoyed the tips!
Oh em gee - this is a perfect video. I remember my first solo trip to Atlanta - so much happen. My goal is to be better prepared this time and I appreciate your insight.
I have friends and relatives in and around Atlanta, so these are some helpful tips for me to keep in mind should I decide to fly there. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! Great you get to the airport early. And yes it just earned the title again serving 93 million passengers in 2022. For reference here are the next 4: 2) DFW, 3) DEN, 4) ORD and 5) DXB.
Oddly enough, with all the traveling I've done, I have never done Atlanta Airport as a layover. It's a massive airport from what I've seen. Great tips about the departure and take off areas. Definitely feel like I'd need TSA Pre or Global Entry to get in. Nice that they have shirtless between the domestic and international sides.
Yeah I have Precheck + Clear which makes it better getting through ATL for sure. And yes the shuttles are great to help get between terminals. But worse case, you can enter the airport from either side and still get to any gate! Thanks for watching!
It's great information about the Atlanta Airport. It helps a lot to those who are new as well as it will be easy to prepare early by watching informative videos like yours. Arrival , check in to the inside tour of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport simple great. Great video
Really Great video!!! My friend from Costa Rica is arriving in this airport tomorrow at 3 pm, May 2nd 2024, and I just want to go meet her in the airport. I'm not getting on a plane and flying anywhere. I've never been inside an airport in my life really so I don't want to get lost here or get in trouble with security guards. 🙂🙂🫶🫶
I’m glad this is helpful! And exciting for your friend to visit. And no worries, you won’t get past security and they will direct you the right way. Plus, the secured area is pretty well marked.
This was a good video. I will say Atlanta has been one of the easier airports for me which is amazing because of the size. I hate NY airport. Can’t wait for part 2
Glad you find ATL easy to navigate as it is pretty efficient considering its size. And listen JFK is not my friend. Leaving one terminal to go to the next and having to go back through security is not it. But my least fav is FLL. That’s a whole story in itself lol. Thanks for watching!
Good tips as large airports can be confusing. I didn’t realize Atlanta was so busy! You mention ‘TSA’ a number of times… what does that stand for? (Obviously security but maybe you can explain the abbreviation to a non American)
Traveling to Jamaica, it's my first time flying, and I'm flying out of Alt. Your video helped me alot do you have any other suggestions I'm excited but nervous as well lol
How exciting! I hope you enjoy your trip to Jamaica! I have more tips in part 2 here: th-cam.com/video/KuN_cpUmqY8/w-d-xo.html! Let me know if you have any questions!
Unfortunately Marta isn't convenient for every one in Metro Atlanta. It would take me trouble to get there and it would be out of the way. But it is the best option if you live off of the Marta track.
I'm picking up my sister at ATL. She is coming from Puerto Rico on Frontier. Is Frontier on international side? Will it easier for my sister find me outside the airport?
Puerto Rico is considered a portion of the US and will land in domestic. If she had a checked bag, she will have to go to the domestic side and you will have to pick her up there. If she doesn’t have a checked bag, you can pick her up on either side. The international side is usually less chaotic. But make sure she goes the right way whichever side she picks you up from. The airport is interconnected and she could follow signs for either baggage claim.
My mom 👩 and my sisters 👯♀️ went to Croatia 🇭🇷 last May. Do you know of a faster way to expedite the process from getting to international to domestic terminals?
To connect from an international to domestic flight in ATL, definitely take the plane train (if the flights are connecting). If you have a separate ticket, you will have to leave the airport and re-enter which is always not as convenient but better for your pocket. To do that, you will have to take the shuttle to the domestic terminal or just re-enter through security on the international side and take the plane train (this is probably faster).
Hey Explorers! Be sure to check out part 2 of navigating the Atlanta Airport here: th-cam.com/video/KuN_cpUmqY8/w-d-xo.html! Thanks for watching!
Are there bag drop off spaces for long layovers?

Ooo you are really close. Yeah flying would be a waste for you! Thanks for watching!

I have friends and relatives in and around Atlanta, so these are some helpful tips for me to keep in mind should I decide to fly there. Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome! Safe travels!
I also think some of these tips are great to know for air travel and airport navigation in general
I'm glad you find these tips useful!
Great video. I haven't flown yet. I'm more nervous about navigating through this airport than actually flying lol. Thanks for this!! ❤❤
Airports especially Atlanta can have a lot of commotion. But take your time, read signs and if necessary ask someone. Safe travels!
Thanks so much for the detailed tips for Atlanta airport, I will 100% revert back to this if I ever land myself there! Very well put together.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Great tips on travelling here. I always get to the airport early. I didn't realize this was the busiest airport in the world.

Good information I have traveled Atlanta’s airport it can be trying
But you definitely make it through without issue!

Great 👍 idea Kita! Quality content.

TSA = Transportation Security Administration or basically just security for the airports. Glad you enjoyed the tips!
The last time I flew from Atlanta they had a shorter line we got in because we had Comfort plus Delta
Thanks for sharing!
Delta cancelled my flight and rerouted me through ATL with a 43 minute layover. Fortunately I am flexible.
Yikes! That is a tight connection. Hopefully that means the gates or concourses aren't far apart. It is possible but I'm glad you are flexible!

@@KitatheExplorer Thank you so much
You're welcome!
The best way to get there IMO is taking the MARTA. Drops you right in the airport, and it’ll get you there without dealing with traffic.
Question: if I have TSA Pre-Check, but I'm flying a NON-Delta airline, do I still go to south terminal security?
Yes, that is where TSA PreCheck security is located.
Is there a TSA line for First class or is it in the general line?
I haven’t personally seen one. But I have been told there is a split in the North security line. I haven’t been able to vet that though.
Great advice 💟💟💟💟👍👍👍👍👍👍 10:52
