One thing I love about ATL and Delta, is that all their gates have large visible reader boards telling you what is going on. As someone who has sometimes hearing issues, it is frustrating to be at an airport with a gate agent who comes on the mike and you cannot understand them.
I was quite happy to see that Atlanta has the new Global Entry booths that no longer require passport and fingerprint scanning. It probably took me all of 90 seconds to get through immigration, ready to pick up my luggage 🙂
I have a question about Delta arrival at the international terminal. We will have parked in the International Park Ride lot (not the hourly). Do we need to take a shuttle bus to the International Park Ride and do we catch it outside the International terminal or do we need to go over to the Domestic terminal?
@@robinu8153 if you parked in the international parking lot, the ATL Park and Ride shuttle takes you back to the lot. It’s the same shuttle that picked you up when you parked your car.
Hi Showtime Travel. I came back from a trip to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 in 2012. I obviously had to come back through customs but the international terminal was still under construction 🚧. I remember it took a long time for Park and Ride to get us from international terminal to our car which was in the south terminal parking. Do you know if they have expedited the process at all especially getting from international terminal to south terminal parking?
ATL Airport now has a shuttle specifically for the international parking. All other off site parking services make you go to the domestic terminal which is very time consuming.
Sorry if my question was vague. How long would you say it takes to transfer from an international arrival to a connection on a domestic flight? I know you said people should arrive early, and I'm wondering if I will have enough time.
@@thorpizzle there are a lot of factors. For example, if you have Global Entry, it will save you a lot of time. Also, you are going to have to reject your bags and go through the TSA line again. I suggest at minimum plan for a 2.5 hour layover.
So I have flight next week from the domestic airport terminal s to International Airport terminal I and I have only 1h44 connection ! So it's not enough ?! Do I need to pick up again my baggage
@familyisland9600 If you have a domestic-to-international connection, usually you can just go to your next gate. You definitely do not need to pick up your bag again. Only for international-to-domestic connections do you need to get your bag and recheck it before continuing on.
I missed the reservation window for parking. Tomorrow Wednesday 10/10 I have a 4:39 pm delta flight.will there be parking on ATL WEST? I am driving from LaGrange, GA. Is there a Marta or park and drive you recommend. Thx
Question: I will be making what will be basically a less than 24-hour, " down and back", if you will, trip to Atlanta at the end of October, 2024. I am staying near the event location in Downtown Atlanta, and will be using the MARTA system for transportation to and from the airport. My question is: I have an early morning return flight scheduled, 8:15 am, on a Monday morning, and it appears as though the MARTA trains begin weekday services just after 5:00 am. Is the MARTA system a reasonably reliable mode of transportation, so that I can make it to the airport in plenty of time prior to my departure flight? Thank you!
Great explanation, but I have a question: If I arrive through the international terminal, passing through immigration, what are the options for taking the sky train to the rental car area?
Since you arriving internationally, you have to take a free shuttle after you get your bags to the domestic side. Then you will take the train to the car rental.
this is what found: Main Checkpoint 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Terminal North 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. International Terminal 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wow great information. Traveling to ATL from Philly ALONE for the first time, never been to ATL. TSA pre approved and no bags to check in. Flying Frontier and getting picked up by a friend , any suggestions. Thanks in advance. IM super nervous.

The face recognition Global Entry Kiosks make life easier. The only waiting you do now is waiting for your luggage at baggage claim 😀
Very helpful video!
Thank you! Feel free to share the video to those who may need it.

Question. When i walk into the international terminal after getting dropped off. Which way is it to security?
Security is to the right of the check-in counters. Not hard to find. Just keep in mind TSA Precheck has limited hours in the international terminal.
What about international to domestic connections?
I need more clarity to your question. What specifically do need regarding "What about international to domestic connections?"

How do I find the shuttle service? I’ll be leaving home 4:30 am and will need a ride
There are signs for shuttles in the airport
Please, could you share the first link here?

Hello my son is taking a trip to South Korea. Can family members walk with him to see him get on the plane?
You can’t walk with him past security.
What is the trick to not have yo wait for the shuttle from international to domestic upon arrival? Are there hotels that pick up at International?
No trick. Only alternative is a rideshare app
What is a domestic flights
flights that depart and land in the USA.

Use the MARTA to get to the airport and you can beat traffic. It’ll let you out right in the airport.
That’s a great option for those travelers in the city
Take MARTA to the airport.
That's a good idea if you live in the city.
