Had my first session with the new set up, it rides completely different from before got the hang of it by the end of the session I wish the wind lasted longer but it was quite the day on Lake Champlain 3.6/60L Apple Slice V3 then 4.0 parawing 72 Litres KT Drifter.
Now that you know how to navigate in parawing, what is your analysis on the sport? Can it replace the wing? What are your tips for starting this sport? 🙏🙏🙏
It can replace the wing if wave riding for sure. It is physically harder and more exhausting. Feels amazing when stowed and just riding waves so much better than with a wing getting in the way. I would start using the biggest board and foil you have to get the hang of it.
I have been watching your parawing videos from the beginning. I can relate with you a lot better than with the maui superstars! Great progress! Impressed. How "annoying" is to hold the parawing in your hands (and not stow it away) compared to a paddle, compared to a wing? I imagine I would ride like this to save myself if slowing down. What situation do you prefer the parawing over a paddle? (I can paddle sup dw and I can wing - but this looks fun)
You totally forget you’re holding it when done right. I prefer parawing over all disciplines as I don’t need to do any logistics and I can wave ride without a wing getting in the way.

Looking good. What’s the monoline harness you’re using?
