- More than half of U.S. car dealerships are still struggling with a cyberattack that crippled a key software system, hampering their ability to sell cars. J.D. Power estimates the attack may have caused June retail sales to drop more than 5% compared to last year.

They’re not selling because of greed and overpriced crap
Adds 10-15k above MSRP on a nissan sentra; OMG NO ONE IS BUYING OUR CARS INFLATION!
I have no sympathy for dealerships 😅
Karma for all of the extra add on’s added
Nobody was forcing you to buy them.lol
@@justincantrell09so that makes it all ok
if itll crash the car market, then let it.
On July 4th when system come back online, dealer will chage a higher dealer adjustment fee to make up for the loss...
waiting 6 hours to buy that ugly green car is diabolical
lol ouch 😂
0:40 Would you buy a car from that man with that suit???
All that suit and no side-burns.
@@Damone7653the no side burns is where I draw the line 😂😂
Not a car but a SUV.
yup and so they're gonna raise prices to make up for these losses. a mess
Boo hoo...
It's going to happen in the UK soon too, probably. 😢
You can always use a telephone and pen and paper.
Do you need a computer to initiate service on your vehicle?
You don't need a computer to negotiate the price of a vehicle?
Want to service your vehicle, the mechanic/advisor tells you how much it is. you either pay it or you don't and your car is serviced or it's not.
Then you keep the paper receipt showing what was done to the vehicle.
Let's not have the things we've created control us. Wasn't that a line in Fight Club? LoL
Stealing from stealership
Should gone with Reynold+Reynolds instead of that alphabet company.
Why are they being so quiet about it?
They still want customers to come in.
They’ll probably have you sign everything in paper and then throw it into the computer once it’s back up. Time is money to them and they aren’t going to let these poor consumers get away.
@@Tvso9813 That's exactly what we did. The ones who can't come in we docusign them.
@@wadehiggins1114 I see they are lowering the finance rates. What’s the lowest you are seeing now for used and new? They were pretty high a month ago…
Lol who can afford a car on 7% interest
You shouldn’t be financing cars anyways, pay in cash or don’t buy at all.
So there's no back up plan for things like this?
Awwww, poor stealerships.
wooo hooooo
what are thoooooose?
NO Bowing (bah-wing)
to to ANY cyber attacker,
from ANY Culture.
Uh oh, looks like the employees forgot how to use good old fashioned paper documents and how to work without a computer. Maybe now they will change back to the good old days and hire some new people for paper documentation, filing, and signing for cars with a pen instead of using these computer systems to do all the work for them.
🖐🤣🔥..more concerning than cyberattacks is the goofy runners with suits look 0:04 and 3:07. Yikes.🔥🙄
