Thanks for checking it out. But its a mad shame they closed woodstock burger king down. It was indeed one of the classic burger kings but fell to modernization a few years back. Awesome to see my town get featured on this channel so thank you.
Wow. My first job. I had my first interview in there. I got my first raise there, got promoted, laughed, cried, bled, sweat (not on the food haha), and so many memories. You’re right about upper management. They do not care. Thanks for covering these BKs. And this location was remodeled in 2012/2013.
I used to work here up until we closed down at November of 2022. I was there for six years and I have to admit 2016-2019 were pretty solid. The pandemic definitely screwed us over and we never properly recovered from it. GMs came and went after our best one left. Plus, despite trying my hardest as cashier, we were always short-staffed and had bums for the kitchen positions. Didn't help either that we never got the inventory that we wanted, always running out of stuff and angering customers. I'm glad this place shut down. Corporate was always against us.
These abandon BK's are becoming a bit of an epidemic. Pontiac & Streator are still alive & kicking, but they aren't far from the cliff's edge. Limited staffing & a general lack of cleanliness doesn't help. I think the world of retail has changed; especially in the last 5-10 years. Covid plays a factor, but I think this trend in the brick & mortar world also stems from a notable change in buyers' habits & the resulting corporate attitudes.
There’s a Tommy’s redhots in Glendale heights, on Bloomingdale rd. By my house . Service is excellent and food is great , just really pricy . For the same price I can go down the street to Portillos and get bigger portions .
One of the reasons they close is that there is never any consistency with how the product is prepared cooked and served it's always like rolling the dice. One day you'll get everything hot and fresh two days later same location completely opposite. anybody that's been a manager there will attest that the owner doesn't really care about the customer experience whatsoever. Same thing for the brand new Burger King in Huntley. The one in Woodstock was Notorious for having trashy females that would turn tricks in the parking lot on their breaks. No I was not one of the guys taking advantage of that. It's really sad to see them close. in my opinion when it is prepared correctly and served hot and fresh it's a way better taste than anything that comes out of McDonald's or Culver's
Burger King has become the new Cash Loans for the channel. All of a sudden they are all closing down meaning more content for us viewers and more finds for you.🤑🤑

I think the same thing happened to Quiznos? That was one of my first jobs and longest job!!!
That's a shame. I used to love their burgers
There is another Burger King closed a while back ago in Cary by US 14 next door to Fox River Grove. Hopefully you’ll do a video on that.

I used to work there almost 4 years ago. General manager was an asshole, I quit about a month in.
Why does the sign by the road look like a giant makeup light

I see the burger King sign inside
T mobile in the peoria mall recently closed, and my dad was the manager there when it was sprint
so how long before Tom's King needs to close more stores ? Have they sold any ? Some seem very new . More closings to come !!!
I'm going to bet that franchise will dissolve crazy under the year
Holy crap dude
Nosey people I hope they don't accuse you of breaking in
Ate there a while back , was modernized and not 90s themed
Tommy's CLosed one or two stores in past year . One in Crystal lake for sure on 176
People in Woodstock are so bored...they annoy ppl and harass them for entertainment...😒😒
NO MORE CHICKEN FRIES!!! 😭😭😭
Wow right across from Tommys. My car broke down there a few years ago. I could tell the location from the thumbnail lol.
I ended up eating at that Tommy's. They have good hot dogs
The burger kings near me suck. They have horrible service, especially the one in Crete Illinois
I live in the apartments behind this location
I remember those indoor playgrounds. 😢
Why is Burger King closing all these fairly new locations? Is there another one close by?
A lot of it is franchises going bankrupt. There isn't another Burger King nearby until you get into Crystal Lake.

Yeah. I made a whole new playlist last night just for Burger Kings.
