You are a younger version of me! I left the city with my two daughters and bought 10 acres of raw timber land in north Idaho. Lived in a 10x48 old home for 2 years while building a house. Lived there for 30 years, sold it to buy 35 acres in 2017.
Built another house, a 30x 50 shop, put in a half mile of fencing and bought 3 calves with my neighbors. Put in a large garden and continue to work on infrastructure. Did I mention that Im almost 74 and female?
I give the Glory to God as I always felt He was the catalyst prompting me to go forward with all my wild dreams, when all of my family and friends thought I was nuts😂… You go girl! My hat is off to you for having the guts to live your dream, regardless of the amount of hard work involved , and believe me, I know its hard work but infinitely rewarding 🤗
If this crazy world thinks you're crazy, you're sane! Sounds like a good life though, congrats on all of it. Living on your own terms is the only way.
I love the peacefulness that comes with your vlogs. Thank you for sharing.
I love the non talking and peaceful music as you work! I never fast forward your videos to escape rambling like some channels are! Love love love seeing something new - the mushroom yards! I’ve never seen anything on mushrooms and how long it seems to take till a harvest or til you can forage.
Glad you enjoy! You’ll get mushrooms off the logs within 2 years. Some sooner if the log is smaller
Sunrises and sunsets and the peaceful music❤
Glad ya enjoy!
Very interesting how you can create gardens just about anywhere. Lots of manual labor makes fantastic garden & fruit beds. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to all🤗🇨🇦
Plant life is resilient indeed!
I love to watch your videos, I’ve been a subscriber from the beginning. Thanks for turning off the sound of the chainsaw noise.
You have always taught us about everything without speaking,
unlike other channels we both know, talk to much, and than repeat themselves.
Sending blessings to you, family and fur babies❣️
Stunning as always. Peaceful serene beaty! Ur videos are so calming, relaxing and easy to watch. I love the music you accompany them with and the bits of information added along the way. Educational meets mindfulness! 😄💕🙏🌱 Thank you so much.
I’m happy you’re enjoying, thank ya!
Another beautiful and educational video. Thank you!
Glad you’re enjoying them!
Beautiful work, as usual. And you're welcome, from a Patreon supporter. ❤
Much love!
So peaceful💕🌻
Glad you’re enjoying!
We used to find hand made bricks on hunting club land down near Sumter. There used to be an old plantation there. It was cool to see finger prints in them.
That’s freaking awesome
Thanks Wil 😎👍
Beautiful life
Interesting new inoculation methods. I'll be watching for the results, of course I always do....
I always love how you find so much history on these properties you forage. It might be just a brick but the imagination goes wild thinking of possible stories as to why it is right there!😂
I have always enjoyed your style of video making. I remember back when Jess first mentioned you were going to start a channel and make it your own. Never dreamed it would be so awesome! Keep it up!
I am so glad you included the making of the fish scale swales. They seem to be working so great! I can't wait to see the results.
Leaving that tree hanging in the very beginning of the video sure makes me nervous! I know you are on your own private property. Lol. Even though, please tell me you got it down!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoy, and yes it fell down. That’s what I was inoculating toward the end of that segment
@@HoneybeeHollowGardens hah hah… that’s what I figured. You’re way too savvy to leave something like that! 👍👍👍
I love your videos, but I especially love the Sierra Nevada beer glass on your garden bed. I used to live near the original Sierra Nevada Brewery in far-Northern California. My husband and I moved to Western Montana about seven years ago and we love it!
Ha! I need to take that glass inside I just put it there when I was mowing grass I think
Witch’s Butter sent me to Google! Great video!
Fun lil find of a mushy! Never enough to eat though unfortunately
I’m so missing the hooty- hoo at the start of your videos … silly but true 🩷
I keep meaning to add it at the end but I forget just about every time !
I’d love the kimchi recipe! I want to make some if this rabbit would leave my Chinese cabbage alone 😅
Oh I can’t compete with the Korean gramma recipes already on YT. Check those out!
@@HoneybeeHollowGardens oh awesome I will!!!
You’re videos arena work of art. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
Thank you!
Got my seeds in the mail. Thank y’all very much. I can’t wait to start growing and eating them.
💚
I found a box of mushroom spawn that I completely forgot about because my teenager moved it into a storage shed. It’s probably been there a year. Have you ever used old inoculated material ? I’m wondering if that can go bad and no longer be viable.
Not sure, probably only good if it was refrigerated
Will, I'm taking down an apple tree in my yard. Do you think I could try that new method to inoculate Lion's Mane instead of my thus far unsuccessful totem method?
I've never grown Lions Mane successfully before
@@HoneybeeHollowGardens I just got my 5 lb grow block but after it's done fruiting for inside, think I'll try that method of stuffing the spawn into the chamfers. Half the fun is in the experiment.
@@vonniemerriam974 I’m sure it’s worth a shot
