Last year, I really wanted Caren, but since Space Ishtar took me to pity a month earlier, I didn't have enough saved up to try for her. This year, I did, and now she's mine. Oh, and since I started my 'pity only' system, only one servant has actually ever taken me to pity - the aforementioned Space Ishtar banner. Like you, I don't count ticket as SQ - those are my 'yolo' budgets. While I don't often get much, I did pull a 5* on ten tickets a couple months ago. My first 4* ever (tutorial spin) was Martha. She got me through a lot of early content, but doesn't get much use these days. My first 5* was Nero Caster from a New Years banner three years ago right after I started playing.

It was during the Da Vinci rerun. My quest was to get all the Jeannes, and Jalter was second after Santa Lily. I got her at NP2, and years later, she is now NP5. Jeanne as a whole is my reason on why I love Fate
The first servant to steal my lunch money was Castoria two years ago. That was a salty moment because 300SQ nothing, but then one paid multi and she came. Don't regret it tho.
My first ever ssr was Broskandar. He came with a ticket. The servant that broke me was Morgan. I saved the equivalent of 1200sq, just for her, before she came, and took 950 to np2. Then got np2 Mélusine(now she's np5 because of a joke I made with friends in her second banner), np1 Koyans and np1 Oberon in less than a 100sq TOTAL. This game's rate up is a joke and only works properly when you don't care and you're not willing to go full ham on a banner.
It was Okita when GUDAGUDA Honnoji first came around. Many extra Emiya coins for Grail Casting years later happened. But none of it worked, it was a last moment ticket that got her. Was it worth it? Uhhh, she's cute! Took last year to get another copy.

I broke my FTP status at the Draco banner on JP. My guts were telling me that she woldn't come back even at GSSR, and guess what, *it was right* , the only way you could summon her after the Harlot event was during the Destiny Summon at the 8th aniversary.
The very first banner I rolled on was the summer banner with Yu Mei Ren lancer last year. So, my first 5* ended up being Summer Abby as a result (very first pull on the very first roll on the banner, too). I basically did everything up through and including Babylon with nothing but 4* Nursery Rhyme and what I could get from friend point summons. It was...challenging. This year was my first participation in a GSSR. Like a gateway drug, having already opened up my wallet for that, I've decided I'll allow myself a big pack per per month. Possibly more than one - though I'll probably only spend up through the summer banner. There's really not much I want beyond this summer - until around summer next year. But between now through summer there are no less than 8 banners I would like to roll on. I'm going to have to sit down and seriously consider what do I "really" want. It's gonna be rough. Probably "Babylon with nothing by Nursery Rhyme, Mash, and whatever I would field from FP" kind of rough, lol. 😁

The banner that broke me being free to play was Oberon. I had saved around 900 ish going into the lost belt 6 banners. With the first 300 I got Koyan and Castria which left 600 for my most wanted character, Oberon. Then when it came time to roll for him he didn’t come. I ended up hitting pitty.
I’m ashamed to say but to say but first Hassan was my first full on np5 when he first came out, I say im ashamed but at the same time it was worth it because back then there was no pity system. 😶

My very first 5 star servant was altera at that time I didn't know about permanent servants and my first event servant was oda nobunaga avenger before musashi Berserker The hard servant to get and spend on but is jalter, Romulus, scathach, skadi and now bazett I spend alot to get bazett but right now I don't got her and I did 185 summons the longest summon I ever did for one copy
For me, it was Castoria. In the process of getting her after the *first* breaking of the bank, I got a really painful Nitocris spook. Happily got her to NP2 in last year’s anniversary GSSR
my reason for starting to spend is a bit odd, because it was for a banner that was a year into the future. i had played the prison tower rerun, and wanted Edmond *so* badly, but didn't get him, cause at the time i was a newbie account that didn't save much. so i decided to save for him, for over a year. time went on and after about 300 quartz saved Holmes came out, and i really wanted him. ended up blowing all my savings and not getting him, and i was super upset at myself cause i was supposed to be saving for Dantes. from then on i promised myself that if i wanted to roll for someone, i had the buy the quartz to do so, i wouldn't touch my savings. and that's what started me spending. i genuinely don't remember the first banner i spent on, but it was a fair few banners during that year of saving. i can say though that all the quartz i saved for Edmond i saved legit, over 1800 quartz for him when he came back for summer 3, and i got him np6 (which at the time i thought was a funny spook but now im super glad cause it meant i could 120 him when coins came out)

When i started playing I saw the design of King Protea (before she dropped for NA) and i KNEW i wanted to roll for her; I started Jan 2021 and she was set to drop 3 months later so i was full prepared to spend for her... funny enough though it ended up being Passionlip that cost me; i think it was 6 maybe 7 packs just to get a single copy... that was paaaain But, my first 4 star was Liz and i still love her design to this day (and all here variants), and my first 5 star was quite the crazy one as my very first pull after the scripted tutorial one was a pull on the Beni-enma banner and i got Beni-enma~! xD
