Isn't it always 'unrealized' since even currency varies in value? When I sell bitcoin to buy dollars, then later sell those dollars to buy bitcoin, I may have "lost" bitcoin if the price of the dollar fell during the trade. Right?

What's stopping me from buying stocks and just waiting until I get the price I want even if that means holding the stock for longer than expected. Obviously the algorithm had a bad run but my traders have turned off my privileges so I cannot see the the P/L in the unrealized category 🤔 something isn’t right, they are telling me not to ask technical questions 😂 something dodgy is happening

Correct, unless those stocks pay you a dividend, which "is" a realized gain and therefore you'd need to pay taxes on it.

Made a trade shows 2% profit but when i checked my asset account i was down?
