    I’ve watched multiple videos and you guys are really fast with that truck I’m a firm believer in a smaller truck with a little less equipment so to get everything easier and quicker and you are really familiar with to be a little bit more efficient

    Any idea what caused the fire?

      @kurtisyoder4423  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NinjaBoy and the Old Man we’re pretty confident it was a lightning strike, they heard a strike and couple minutes later we all come hauling it past.

    No reason to be in the collapse zone on this house, it's a one story trash fire at this point. And for goodness sake, SLOW DOWN. If you ever really do need air on a fire, it will be gone in five minutes...

    • @kurtisyoder4423
      @kurtisyoder4423  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ffjsb I appreciate your input, however with respect I’ll reply. As far as the collapse zone, yes I was in it, was it going to fall on me or the guy behind me? No. Why? Look again at the porch, no fire, aka wall support, also notice I didn’t make entry while I couldn’t see what was in there, only after the knock down and reassessment did we go in. And I don’t care if it is someone’s trash, we’re putting it out to the best of our ability. And now the air, with Scott 45min pack the fastest I can possibly breath that tank done is 10 minutes, that’s the fastest, never got under that. And when I’m not exerting a lot of energy I can make that same bottle last well over 20 minutes while still working. Again thanks for the input. ✌🏼

      You have ZERO way of knowing if that wall and porch roof are going to collapse. I'm pretty much betting that that brick wall is just a veneer wall, tied to burning walls studs behind it, making it VERY unstable. The roof has already collapsed, which would put lateral stress on the wall as it collapsed, thus weakening it. It was clear that there really was nothing to save, just fire extinguishment, which could've been done outside of the collapse zone.
      We risk much to save much, we risk little to save little...

      ffjsb your opinion is duly noted. And I agree with what you’re saying, just not copy and pasted to every call. Asses adjust, reassess and adjust, continuously. My assessment of that porch was that it’s safe to the door, where I stopped.

      @ffjsb 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uh, even from the truck, that's a defensive fire, which means don't go into the collapse zone.

      ffjsb ok, we’re an aggressive dept and I like it that way. 👌🏼✌🏼
