RedWhiteAndBlue4evr1 Very far from the truth. I'm a big Auburn fan, but I didn't want to give up the opportunity to catch this once-in-a lifetime moment on camera. Hate that I missed seeing the play, but getting and sharing this shot makes it worth it.
purpandorange Tripods are frowned upon on the field. But, beyond that, handheld is the way to go - its good to be mobile to get different angles. I'm a professional videographer first and fan second... sometimes I don't get to see the game if I'm doing my job correctly.
ya know... i never thought about it before but i have found a whole new level of respect for band members. how the hell do you go from pure elation to playing music in 1/2 a second when every fiber of your body wants to storm the field and burn down a goal post?
L CARLTON Orrrr look at some of the girls playing flutes in the front...they aren't even playing, just screaming and crying their eyes out, while they fake play. I can't blame them really. It was the sports moment of the year.
AU band member here. My answer is that everyone in the band knew that if they didn't have their instrument up, they would be the only one in the band not playing. No one wants to be that guy. It's that kind of commitment. We can wait a minute before going crazy (except our GTA in the front there).
I don't know how many times I've watched this video just to look at different people's reactions. I always find something different to laugh out loud at.
I will never ever get tired of watching this. Thank you videographer for hanging in there for this shot. How did you do it?! The one person in the stadium looking the other way.
what agreat day to play the cymbals!!! All of my kids were in band---but this puts even a new perspective on the bands dedication to their role during a ball game!!! I don't see how they got it together to play-- I know at our house--- we were going berserk and was literally shaking with excitement. I wanted to run outside and just yell haha!!! War eagle!! Best band video EVER!!!!!!!!
This reminds me of my high school team who with 9 seconds left returned a kickoff 80 yards to win a game that they were down 35-34 in. I was in band and we we all couldnt believe it and going absolutely insane. It was amazing but it definately doesnt compare to this.
It would be so easy for these guys to forget who they were and what they were supposed to be doing after that finish, so I just love the fact the tuba players are ready to go before Chris Davis has even reached the end zone.
Hey Bob I just ordered 30 sousaphones by accident. What do I do? USE THEM ALL IN THE BAND But that's twice as many as the flutes! I DON'T CARE USE THEM ALL
Wonderful video showing why college football rules in terms of fan support... Some don't know if they want to play or watch the big screen - such decipline
Look at the Saxophone player on centre-left at around 0:22 , he's the only one jumping around and suddenly, in a split second, shifts into his music stance. It almost looks like a cartoon!
The worst part about being in the band.... your team wins at the last second, you want to scream, shout and celebrate.... but you have to play your instrument.
That is Aron Toft who married a very good friend of ours...she is an Auburn graduate. He is from Georgia and did his undergrad at Kentucky...does anyone wonder why he reacted that way?!! He did his graduate work at Auburn. I love this video almost more than watching Chris Davis crossing the goal line. Pure joy!!
KT McClary He reacted that way because he believes in Auburn and loves it ;) Oh, and it being the most hyped Iron Bowl in history along with the greatest college football ending in history probably had a little something to do with it too.
This video is so utterly fantastic there are no words. For those kids to have the discipline to stay focused and play in the midst of that emotion and chaos is incredible. They are providing the soundtrack to one of the greatest moments in sports history.
Thanks to them, this remains to this day the only fight song I can recognize. I can't remember my high school or college fight songs at all (the fact that we stunk in most sports might have something to do with that), but the other week at my parents' place I heard this from the other room and knew immediately my Dad was watching a replay of an Auburn game on the TV.
As a member of the AUMB (tuba), it's really great to see this! I can promise you around half of us were playing and the other half screaming, for obvious reasons! WDE and War Damn Band!
Professional - when, with every fiber of your body you want to join your classmates in storming the field ... and yet you stay to do your job as best you can!
this video was amazing for so many reasons.. first.. who would have thought to video the band at this moment.. and the reaction to the play with the great historic radio call made it a video I actually cried with joy watching.. amazing video .. could be as one of the comments below the best sports video of all time... so lucky to have watched it... the joy that comes through as the band starts to play their signature theme was super!
Pick one person to watch and watch the video, then replay and pick another. This way you can enjoy the video like thirty times. Human beings are wonderful.
I did the same! or-- am doing it! Didn't see the tall clarinet player jumping up while playing in the middle of the song the first time....or the flute player on the front right really swaying... I. Love. This!!!
I may yell Roll Tide Roll, sure, but I thought this reaction was absolutely PRICELESS! Amazing how to go from excited cheering into playing the fight song so fast. No matter what, this was far and away the BEST Iron Bowl EVER!
Looking at it, they barely did. It took some of those flutes and piccolos a few seconds of screaming to realize that they were supposed to be playing. Even then, I saw a few take some scream breaks. If that were me, there is no way I would be playing. I'd be up there screaming and jumping around with the director.
This video has been selected by7 the channel as one of the best Sport videos on TH-cam and was added to the channel's playlist accordingly. Thanks for sharing.
It's fun to watch each of the players in the band as it dawns on them what is happening. My favorite is the flute player who is so excited that she stands up on the wall. Our Iron Bowl party pretty much was the same way.
This....is....AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Love the AUMB! Gotta love the execution of the Fight Song and the drum major! Somebody needs to hire her in their company when she graduates!
It's hard to believe without seeing it on video that everyone in the band had enough spare attention to notice their Drum Major calling out the song to perform while the play was still in progress... I know from being there that every eye (save for this cameraman's, thankfully) in the stadium was tracking the football on that final play. THANK YOU for posting this.
Band geeks are an awesome special breed. Great job being super professional and pulling it together to play the chorus to an amazing moment. You are such an awesome part of the game.
War Eagle, fly down the field Ever to conquer, never to yield War Eagle, fearless and true Fight on, you orange and blue Go! Go! Go! On to victory, strike up the band Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell! Stand up and yell - hey! War Eagle, win for Auburn Power of Dixieland
I love this video so much! It's sheer jubilation! And there has to be something very special about celebrating with music the way the band can. Thanks for filming and posting this! Although, I think I've watched it WAY to many times. lol
Now there goes some disciplined musicians. That fight song ain't gonna play itself people!
Junkman2000 war eagle!
It must have been murder for the camera man not to want to turn around.
Probably just a girl that didn't really care.
RedWhiteAndBlue4evr1 Very far from the truth. I'm a big Auburn fan, but I didn't want to give up the opportunity to catch this once-in-a lifetime moment on camera. Hate that I missed seeing the play, but getting and sharing this shot makes it worth it.
Brazzell Video
HAHAHA set him strait braz
Good reactions!!!!!!

Not my band, not my school, not even my conference. But this never, EVER gets old. :D
ya know... i never thought about it before but i have found a whole new level of respect for band members. how the hell do you go from pure elation to playing music in 1/2 a second when every fiber of your body wants to storm the field and burn down a goal post?
Mental focus and dedication is the answer.
L CARLTON Orrrr look at some of the girls playing flutes in the front...they aren't even playing, just screaming and crying their eyes out, while they fake play. I can't blame them really. It was the sports moment of the year.

This video is so emotional 😢
As an AU Band alum, I am so very proud of this year's AU Band! What a great group of musicians who are a tribute to the Auburn Family!
I will never ever get tired of watching this. Thank you videographer for hanging in there for this shot. How did you do it?! The one person in the stadium looking the other way.
I'm a High school football coach and these are the type of moments you live for...
This is an example of military style, teamwork discipline. Every fiber wanted to yell and celebrate but... they played their instrument . Awesome!
not an Auburn or Alabama fan but this was amazing. I love reaction videos like this!
Every time I watch a replay of this I get chills
the size of mountains
I know this vid wasn't about the radio call, but that's how you call a game
which is part of the reason why Rob Bramblett won a national radio award for his game commentating!!
POOR KIDS!!! HAVING TO PLAY MUSIC AS THEIR EMOTIONS ARE EXPLODING!!!
BRAVO AND BRAVA!!!!!
what agreat day to play the cymbals!!!
This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen
Every time I have a hard day, I watch this video. Pure, unexpected joy.
I was the same way minus the screaming...utter amazement & shock.
Wow that's awesome how they could go from screaming to playing. So cool!
Wow.
One the greatest game I have watched.
Very cool to be captured.
Thumbs up

Extra points for playing as well as they did considering the excitement of the moment.
Love this clip. Talk about staying at your post. Bandleader gives em the down beat and off they go.
The Auburn Band is truly the best! LOVE them!
still the best reaction video ever
It would be so easy for these guys to forget who they were and what they were supposed to be doing after that finish, so I just love the fact the tuba players are ready to go before Chris Davis has even reached the end zone.
Hey Bob I just ordered 30 sousaphones by accident. What do I do?
USE THEM ALL IN THE BAND
But that's twice as many as the flutes!
I DON'T CARE USE THEM ALL
WDE! Was happy to see this video in The Fine Bros 50 TH-cam Spoilers for Jan. 2014!!
Why did I watch this
Im crying. Idk why
Who is watching this in 2017
It's times like this when you are glad that you are only good enough to play the cymbals so you can spend more time celebrating.
Wonderful video showing why college football rules in terms of fan support...
Some don't know if they want to play or watch the big screen - such decipline
Its like they have their lifes dedicated to music no matter what happens...
the guy who fell made the video awesome
Look at the Saxophone player on centre-left at around 0:22 , he's the only one jumping around and suddenly, in a split second, shifts into his music stance. It almost looks like a cartoon!
WAR EAGLE!!! AU Marching Band Rocks !!!
That's awesome!
This, my friends, is why college football, in particular SEC football, is the greatest sport on the planet!
id be like i don't wanna play my trumpet i rather jump and celebrate too lol
The worst part about being in the band.... your team wins at the last second, you want to scream, shout and celebrate.... but you have to play your instrument.
And how they hell were they calm enough to play?! lol
the song added with the bouncing of the brass makes me want to do a jig
I did a jig
Awww yeah!!
Good for them... :)
Damn was Jim Ross from WWE doing commentary?
The dislikes must be 'Bama fans!
American ultras going wild hahahaha
Wat thats our fight song too!
Look at that dorks hat/ hair running on the field at 1:04.
:42 that guy.
Didn't miss a beat
The flute players...
And no one watching the conductor.. :)
Ha!
Bama got owned. It was priceless. lol
The guy crying and falling to his knees makes the video.
I was afraid he had a heart attack. Yikes!
Pure joy!!
KT McClary That's awesome!
KT McClary
Junior! Tell him Matt Leedy just saw this video. I cannot stop laughing. GO CATS!
KT McClary He reacted that way because he believes in Auburn and loves it ;)

This one of the reasons college football is so much better than the pros IT HAS BANDS!
That was awesome. Cheers to the drum major who got everyone in line for the fight song. Considering the moment that's pretty impressive.
That's what I was thinking! What a pro.
Given the last couple of seconds, I'm assuming the video ended because you had to take cover to avoid being trampled...
That was definitely one thing going on in my mind, haha.
I am a Bama fan but congrats to Auburn. I still cant believe that play to this day. I am still speechless
It was a crazy game
It was crazy.
roll-tide-1 so do I but you have to admit that was a good play.
That one drum major, "MUST. STAY. ON. BEAT."
The training kicks in, they do what they have to do. Play the song!!!
This is an all time great video.
Thanks to them, this remains to this day the only fight song I can recognize. Nice job by the drum major in the middle to keep people as focused on playing as she did.
this is one of the greatest reactions in history
If you didn't just get goosebumps, you're not human.
This is the happiest thing I've ever seen.
this video was amazing for so many reasons.. first.. who would have thought to video the band at this moment.. and the reaction to the play with the great historic radio call made it a video I actually cried with joy watching.. amazing video .. could be as one of the comments below the best sports video of all time... so lucky to have watched it... the joy that comes through as the band starts to play their signature theme was super!

What a GREAT job by the Drum Major to kick off the Fight song in that!!!!!!
How could anyone give that a thumbs down?!? That was fantastic! So much emotion ... and then they had to play the flutes!!! XD
I will assume those are Bama fans with the thumbs down............ :D
I may yell Roll Tide Roll, sure, but I thought this reaction was absolutely PRICELESS! Amazing how to go from excited cheering into playing the fight song so fast. No matter what, this was far and away the BEST Iron Bowl EVER!
I wish my high school marching band was like this: enthusiastic, attentive to the game, unison in movement while playing. That's a great band.
HOW IN THE WORLD did the BAND play anything at all after witnessing that return missed kick???
Looking at it, they barely did. It took some of those flutes and piccolos a few seconds of screaming to realize that they were supposed to be playing. Even then, I saw a few take some scream breaks. If that were me, there is no way I would be playing. I'd be up there screaming and jumping around with the director.
EndlessEnigmaPart3 I'd be yelling and screaming right along with ya! Cheers

Band geeks are an awesome special breed. Great job being super professional and pulling it together to play the chorus to an amazing moment. You are such an awesome part of the game.
this is one of the greatest plays in football history
Hoping to join the AUMB next year (Clarinet) :) War Damn Eagle and War Damn Band!
Kudos to Emily on getting everyone to play!
that drum major wasn't playing around😂😂
yo the drum major and the guy behind her got me rolling they was both in shock
War Eagle, fly down the field
Ever to conquer, never to yield
War Eagle, fearless and true
Fight on, you orange and blue
Go! Go! Go!
On to victory, strike up the band
Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell!
Stand up and yell - hey!
War Eagle, win for Auburn
Power of Dixieland
Major props to the conductor.
I love this video so much! It's sheer jubilation! And there has to be something very special about celebrating with music the way the band can. Thanks for filming and posting this! Although, I think I've watched it WAY to many times. lol
The sound coming through the instruments is pure joy compressed into vibrations. Trust me, I science...
I see my son (clarinet player) the moment he realized they were going to win. A memory for a lifetime!
Go Ben!!!
Dr. Spurlin looses all composure haha! Best band in the Southern land! GIVE EM' HELL!
They look so happy.
Never get tired of watching these. WAR EAGLE!
I think they're happy. I'm not sure.
This is why I love our band as much as our football team! They are amazing and truly make the gameday experience so electric and fun. War Eagle!
Flute player in the front row is classic.
i love watching the individual reactions of each person xD whipping their heads to look at the screen
good for them! I'm personally a major LSU and UL fan but after a play like that you have to give them respect! WOW!
this video gives me chills as a sports fan one of the most exciting finishes ever
