Shinichi, thanks for taking us along on your flight to Singapore! This may sound crazy, but I remember using that same boarding gate at NRT. All boarding gates at airports all look alike. But I remember that gate being kinda isolated away from the other gates, After a good walk, you go downstairs and there are 2 gates there. This was my last NRT to San Jose flight in 2019 before the pandemic. Take care! Glad you had a great time in Singapore!
I love your flight videos! Was your plane a Dreamliner? I was shocked at how far I had to walk at Haneda to get to the gate for my United flight back home. Lol!

1:45 Things bought beyond the security zone are allowed, even drinks (at least here in Europe) - as they're considered safe since the passenger isn't bringing the items on the plane from an uncontrolled area. So yeah, duty free perfumes and whatnot are fine :) (not like they're worth the money, everything is way more expensive in the transit zone than anywhere else) PS: really really love the airport shots in the outro (or well, the takeoff in the middle)

Enjoyed the video, looking forward to flying business on ANA to Narita in November after watching this. JAL is my preferred Japanese airline but nothing at all wrong with ANA, just my personal preference. The best I have ever flown was first class on Pan American World Airways waaay back in the 1970’s. Champagne, freshly tossed salad, carved roast beef from a rolling serving tray, served on china with flatware, great omotenashi from the stewardess, those were the days.
The walk to the gate made me laugh a bit. My city's airport recently renovated and expanded and the walk from check-in to the last gate of the main domestic terminal is .64 miles (or just over 1 km). It also requires multiple level changes, including one that's underground under the runways.
as far as i'm aware (though the specifics likely vary by country) liquids bought at the duty free are allowed on the plane as they have been acquired after going through security, so perfume and cosmetics should be ok!
