I'm an American living in Japan for 3 and 1/2 years. Early last month, I passed the halfway point in my stay, and experienced impending dread and some sadness about leaving the country in 20 months. I love this country, and can so much understand how you felt.
I'll be going to Thailand in November. I will be flying ANA for the first time ever. I usually fly Delta. I'm really looking forward to this upcoming trip since I'll be flying Business Class and staying in "THE ROOM" from JFK to Haneda. I've heard and seen really good things about THE ROOM. Haneda to Bangkok will be in regular business class.
Thank you for sharing. It looks like ANA Airlines is a top world class airlines with hospitably friendly crew and the high level of professionalism. All the Japanese meals on board looked great and in addition you confirmed that they were tasty just like being on a top tier restaurant. All the best.
The ANA lounge has a noodle window to the left side of the main food area. There is also a second food area. ANA's business class is a lot better than United Polaris. The ANA crew is also very good.
First time here. You did a decent job. MOST importantly you did not make me watch food going into your mouth (except your first bite, but covered your mouth immediately). Really hope you travel more to fly business more because it is a mostly relaxing and pampered vibe. Good luck and safe travels to you. I don't subscribe until I like 10 consecutive videos. Hope to see 9 more soon.
Just reviewed ANA last week. One of my favorite airlines! I think I like this older version of business class, for me it is more comfortable compared to the new business class. Nice video
Great video! How cool to fly in a state of the art aircraft! Beds that lay flat, dimmable windows (!!!), and the food! Wow. I have never seen food like that on a flight anywhere. The seats looked like they would be conducive for a productive workday. Seems like a truly fantastic business class. Would you fly with them again?
I have flown with ANA in business class to Bangkok, several times, and I will again in the middle of November, from LAX or SFO with a layover in Tokyo, what I like about their business lounges there is a smoking lounge, the food is OK in there, there is a separate lounge area for business people that need quiet while they’re doing the work, but it’s a little claustrophobic. ANA is my go to for business class to Southeast Asia. I’m sorry that you only got 2 1/2 hour sleep. I am able to get 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours. It helps with a jet lag.
if my flight from SFO to HND is in 3 months from now...there is no way to upgrade my seats right? is hard to undestand in ANA website the cost to upgrade from economy to yours or economy premium that I heard is not bad at all...
I fly out of LAX or SFO. You can always try and upgrade at the counter when you’re checking in for your flight ,the prices gonna scare you lol. You’ll be gone from 12 or $1300 for an economy flight to a $5600 flight seat, I fly to Thailand a lot, and I will only do business class, It’s expensive, but for a 20 hour flight, I am able to sleep laying flat, I sleep 85% of the time
I thought it was very sharp, and the FA’s were kind and polite. They didn’t make much an effort to casually chat, but that’s sort of what I would expect from a high end Japanese experience.
Going to the wrong airport and missing my flight is my worst nightmare. You seemed to make it payoff! Odd how fine the dining is at 37,000 ft and so very average on the ground. Can you get any to go?
i think you missed it because it is kind of hidden. when you were looking at the asahi beer pour machine, you would need to turn left and keep walking to the wall and there is this little tiny opening that is the kitchen where you can order ramen, soba, and udon. Haneda’s lounge is easier to find since it’s not hidden in some tiny opening hallway.
Even if you despise curry, like I do, Japanese curry is awesome. I became addicted to it while I was there. When Japan started importing curry powder to Japan, they somehow made it sweeter and removed all the cloying, obnoxious aspects from the dish.
It totally depends upon which of their planes you happen to catch. Some of the flights, business class consists of an entire private room. I'll put it this way, you won't have a bad flight with ANA.
😂 ANA is anything but low budget, I have flown with them four times in the last year in business class from LAX to Bangkok, the only other airlines that I would fly within business class would be Cathay Pacific, nobody else can compete, in fact, I just booked another flight with them to Thailand again for July
Have flown business in ANA and JAL; I slightly prefer JAL for its amazing quality food/ cuisine. Can't wait to try JAL's new A350 Business suites from JFK starting Jan'24, and the new suites from ANA - all next year.

Thank you for visiting Japan and using one of the Japanese airlines😉👍️🎶
It was such an amazing experience! Both the country and the airline 😃🇯🇵

Thanks so much for watching! I highly recommend the experience. It feels very calming to be there.
If Narita is like Haneda, the ANA lounge serves premium economy ticketed passengers also so its overcrowded. I will be there next week

That’s great to know. I’ll have to check it out next time.
Awesome is correct. Great airline and a great video. Make me want to choose this airline in the future.
Thank you! For sure, it’s an amazing airline.
Excellent review. Very thorough and well executed. Well done!
Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for watching, David. And I appreciate the encouragement and feedback here. Take care!

Thank you for watching! I’ll have to keep a look out to compare the two!
Looks like an incredible experience! Thanks for sharing.
It was wonderful, and a great surprise. Thanks for watching!
Killer trip report! Watched so many of these and you nailed it.
Thanks so much! That really means a lot. 🙏🏼

Absolutely would. Nearly everything about it was top-notch and memorable. Highly recommend it!

I hope you have a great flight in November! I agree, the lounge is overall decent but yes crowded at times. Safe travels!
You should see the first class to New York then. You'd wish for the flight to actually be longer :)
Very good video. Excellent job
Thank you so much! Means a lot.

I’m not sure actually, I’m sorry! I do know that it is often challenging to get an upgrade.

How was the service, overall? Well done btw.

Wasn’t even The Room on their 777’s (haven’t seen nothing yet)
Great Video! Just a question ...why did you had a mask on for few seconds?
Thank you! That’s a great question. There were some passengers who were apparently sick and coughing. It started bothering me.
Great review. "the hook" you mentioned is for the headphones. I asked the flight attendant on my flight to tokyo.
Thanks so much! And I appreciate the tip on the hook. I was a bit confused haha.
I think that hook is for headset.
Ah! That's a great call. Thank you.
You missed the ramen bar located at the side of the business lounge.
Oh man. I must have totally missed that. Did you like it?
@@thebuccilist ramen and fried chicken slathered in the curry sauce are my go to in that lounge.
Going to the wrong airport is genuinely my nightmare.
It wasn’t fun haha
Do you keep that fancy amenity bag for yourself?
You totally can! I think I left it because I was already bringing a lot home.
Going to the wrong airport and missing my flight is my worst nightmare. You seemed to make it payoff! Odd how fine the dining is at 37,000 ft and so very average on the ground. Can you get any to go?
Haha! Honestly, if I were served that food in a restaurant in NYC I would not have known the difference. It was that good.
you didn’t try the ramen noodle bar at the ana lounge?
I don’t remember seeing it when I was there! I might have missed it. Or maybe it was closed that day

I also really like Japanese curry! And I agree with you, they have really narrowed it down to some good tastes.
if not afraid of the earthquake , i would like to live in Japan a couple months a year.
It's a wonderful place to be! But yes, earthquakes are common.
hmmm seems like a low budget business class
