Tears welled up in my eyes listening to this, Nilesh ji. Jaipur Dialogues is blessed by Dnyaneshwar Mauli today. It is this sant parampara that gave birth to Chatrapati Shivaji. Maharashtra truly is the flag bearer of dharma. I have learnt the most profound lessons in spirituality and have had intense spiritual experiences while in western Maharashtra. I find that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has almost no parallel when it comes to defeating adharmis and establishing dharma and this continued for centuries even after his death through other valiant heroes in the maratha empire. I even think everything boils down to the worship of Goddess Durga in various forms. Wherever She was worshipped, her temples protected, she has showered her blessings abundantly in the form of superlative qualities and resources required to establish and preserve dharma. The story of Shri Tuljabhavani gifting her sword to Shivaji Maharaj signifies this. He was fortunate to have been guided by someone like Samarth Ramdas Swami in his sadhana.

संत ज्ञानेश्वर पर चर्चा महत्वपूर्ण एवं ज्ञानवर्धक रही। धन्यवाद। मैं एक और संदर्भ में बात करना चाहता हूं 60 के दशक में संत ज्ञानेश्वर नाम से ही फिल्म आई थी। बहुत पसंद की गई थी। उसमें एक गीत था "जोत से जोत जलाते चलो"। ज्ञानेश्वर अपने गुरू से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि हम परंपरा तोड़ कर भक्ति और ज्ञान को जन जन तक ले जाएं। यह गीत उनके इसी भाव का प्रदर्शन करता है। गीतकार को संत जी के ज्ञान का भोग था। तब और अब के फिल्म कारों का यह अंतर है। संत नामदेव पर चर्चा की प्रतीक्षा रहेगी।

Very enlightening talk. I had seen some 40 years back as a girl of 10years,the movie Sant Gyaneshwar on Doordarshan and was deeply influenced by Sant. Many years later I got opportunity to visit Sant Gyaneshwar Temple in Alandi. An overwhelming experience. Talk has helped me to pick up Gyaneshwari and read it again 🙏

wonderful discussion...Just a small clarification about Sri Sankaracharya where Mr Oak says that the Acharya considered Bhakti as reduntant for a Jnani...No...The Bhakti becomes one with Jnana ...it becomes Parabhakti ...this is considered the acme of Bhakti by all sages down to the recent times like Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Ramana Maharshi...Sri Sankara defines Bhakti as 'Swarupanusandhanam' ,meaning to dwell in one's swarupa or Self.

Very enlightening talk. I had seen some 40 years back as a girl of 10years,the movie Sant Gyaneshwar on Doordarshan and was deeply influenced by Sant. Many years later I got opportunity to visit Sant Gyaneshwar Temple in Alandi. An overwhelming experience. Talk has helped me to pick up Gyaneshwari and read it again 🙏

wonderful discussion...Just a small clarification about Sri Sankaracharya where Mr Oak says that the Acharya considered Bhakti as reduntant for a Jnani...No...The Bhakti becomes one with Jnana ...it becomes Parabhakti ...this is considered the acme of Bhakti by all sages down to the recent times like Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Ramana Maharshi...Sri Sankara defines Bhakti as 'Swarupanusandhanam' ,meaning to dwell in one's swarupa or Self.

Yes the weaving was started in Paithan and hence the name. Today it is weaved in near parts of paithan like AURANGABAD, YEVLA, DAULATABAD ETC
