Plz do not take sunbathing lightly , I dont want to sound too dramatic but Australia does have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, so take precautions always put on ample sunscreen . Aside from that have a good safe trip and keep posting

Also, it's a good idea to put sunscreen on 15-20 minutes before you go out into the sun. That's what I was told as a child growing up here in Queensland. You can get sunburnt really quickly here.
Enjoy your adventure here in Oz.

You can still tan if you wear protection and sun bathe between 10 and 11 an . I always get a nice tan here in Australia , so long I do it the safest way . Don’t sun bathe at lunch time . I hope you had a nice time .

Foreigners totally underestimate the sun in Australia. Wear sunscreen even if you’re only going to be in the sun for 10 minutes. It has to be a habit

Finally someone in one of these videos who have given them selves enough time to enjoy Australia I've seen so many of these where we came to visit Australia 2 weeks is enough so they run around like headless chooks try to hit three or four cites go to places like the War Memorial in Canberra something that needs a good at least half day especially if you walk up and down ANZAC parade checking the memorials along it give themselves an hour blow through it at a dead run. So take your time.
Be careful of the sun it is no joke in Australia in Summer for reference the average UV in Belgium 1 - 7 The Average UV in Australia 10-14. can I suggest Banana Boat SPF 50+ spray on sun screen it's good and quick and easy to use

Yes it’s so nice to just take the time to discover things we like on our own pace! Although it still hard to believe that we have so much time haha, still feels a bit like a “normal” vacation

Welcome! Lovely to see you enjoying my backyard.
    Here’s my thoughts for you:
    1. Get to the Blue Mountains. Epic walks around Wentworth Falls, Katoomba, and Govert’s leap. Going down to the valley is easy but coming back up is a real work out.
    2. Learn to surf wherever there’s a good surf school. Manly is great.
    3. Rent a kayak anywhere in Sydney Harbour but around The Spit is my recommendation.
    4. Bondi to Coogee walk.
    5. Spit to Manly Walk.
    6. Check out the Royal National Park and the walks and beaches. Especially Wattamolla Beach.
    7. Chill out for a night in Newtown.
    8. Want to see Asia, take the long train trip to Cabramatta and feast on Vietnamese food.
    Good luck and enjoy!

    G'day!
I'm glad to see you enjoying yourselves in Sydney.
I suggest that you do the Bondi Beach to Coogee coastal walk, that you take a ferry up the Harbour to Parramatta, and that you take a train to Katoomba to do a day of sightseeing and bushwalking in the Blue Mountains National Park.
Also, get yourself hats with brims, and please be more careful about sunburn.

Which one of you is Elien and which one of you is Laurens?
If you're still here is Sydney, let me know here and I"ll take you both out to the Blue Mountains for the day, like I did with "Rob Reacts"...👍
Also, tip: Don't just do the Sydney sights. Look to going south and hitting the Sutherland Shire and Cronulla. Also, the South coast, including the coast road down to Wollongong (I can help you with that if you like), and then perhaps down to Shellharbour and beyond to Jervis Bay (is a MUST see). There is snow on our Alps if you can make it that far (7hours drive). Going north of Sydney, Look to following the coast up to: Gosford, Toronto and the surrounding area, or even Up to Forster (4hours), It's a phenomenal play ground for a weekend. Everywhere is so pretty, so enjoy!

Australia's population is very exercise/sport- orientated and many people go to gym. As for the l-o-n-g travel time to Melbourne, Aussies are generally world travellers and do the travel in reverse all the time. The sun over Oz is harsh due to it's position on the earth in angle to the sun. From an early age children learn to slip, slop, slap, wrap and seek. ie. slip on sun-screening clothes, slop on strong sun-screen, slap on a wide, all around-brimmed hat, wrap on sunglasses and seek shade. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to safely build up a suntan but only for a short 15-20 minutes at a time. Enjoy Oz !

IT's too late for you, but I'd suggest that rather than Bondi Beach, take the ferry to Manly. An easy walk from the ferry terminal to the beach, with plenty of places to buy coffee and lunch food on the way. The ferry trip is interesting by itself and you can see the harbour-side suburbs, and the view through the Heads to the ocean. It gives you a chance to just sit and relax, which is not a bad idea after you've made the flight. On top of that, you see the Opera House from a different angle.
The Blue Mountains trip to Katoomba is a great idea for any tourist. There are lots of things to see there, and from the train on the journey. The trains afe all double deck electric trains, and as they're one class there's no extra charge for travelling upstairs, Just adjust the seat to give a full-window view, very easy. Best views are to the south as you travel to Katoomba and the north on the home journey. Travelling on the left hand side of the train in each direction will give you those views.

Kuringai Chase Park is nice, Akuna Bay and to the Marina bay in the Northshore area with some look outs as well, Train to Wollongong is also good. A bush walk at Mt Kiera look out on the way to Wollongong if drive is your transport. There is also the Bald Hill lookout same place.
