Hi Albert. Yes I am on binge hunting down episodes that I might have missed. This one is just another exceptional episode. I am happy that I landed it. Play, play, play is the ultimate goal and you do play well besides exposing us to the excellent and varied tips many of which I am fortunate to adopt. Thanks so much and hope to see you tomorrow on your channel.
Hi Salim, thanks. It's so funny, when I see you artwork I'm always amazed by what you make. And still I seem to surprise you often either what I do or show. Interesting. Apparently we all can learn new things constantly. Happy painting, Albert
Lol I know... but as a South African living in Canada, thank goodness for TH-cam and teachers like you during February/March. Love your way of teaching and the knowledge you share. 😀
Hi Maureen, i get it. Must be tough all the low temperatures and snow. Enjoy the in doors and before you know it will be spring. Hope to see you also in April and the rest of the year 😉 Bye, Albert
Never heard of Cowen, so thank you for the exposure to a new unknown artist to me. I generally keep a list of newer artist that I find interesting and he'll go on that list. Another one I found recently is Maria Lassnig. There is a video on her on YT. Thanks Albert.
Hi Culture Fan, thanks.! Yes, Cowen is interesting. I know Maria Lassnig and I get her art, but I am not a fan. But I'm always open for other suggestions 😉👍 Bye, Albert
Hi Denise, thanks for your comment. You have all the steps and you can see them too. Try it out, it's fun. And as always: it is learning by doing. Bye, Albert
Hi Susan, thanks for answering. Yes, printing on a gel plate, looks fun to do. My challenge is always when seeing something like that 'Could I also do this with acrylics?' And actually a lot of it can be done. Acrylics is very versatile. But the most important thing is enjoying what you do, whatever material you use. Bye, Albert
Imperfect Paintings: Yup. The gel plates are way too fun as they allow many ways to manipulate paint. Essentially everything you want to use is water based, so unlike traditional print making it is much easier and easier to clean up after. You can use some alcohol based products and water color and pastels, but far from necessary. Most oil based paint can cause problems, though I have seen a few experiments that looked interesting. Not needing a press is a big deal in my book!
Hallo.
Albert
An other very useful tutorial. Thanks Albert.🙏
Thanks Claude, it was also fun to make. Albert

Thanks for introducing me to an interesting artist.
Hi Susan, thanks. I was blown away at an exhibition, I wanted to live there and keep looking. Do you paint as well? Have a nice day, Albert
Imperfect Paintings I used to dabble in oils Recently have been doing prints on a gel plate and using them in collage. Quite fun.

You really like it! Wonderful. That's also what I like in acrylics over oil, way more easy to handle or clean. And it dries quickly. Enjoy, Albert
always ur the best
Hi Mick, thanks. Always nice to hear. Try it out for yourself, you can do it too. Have fun, bye, Albert
