Good for you for taking the initiative to try to get to the bottom and what’s going on with your dog obviously you love him and I think you’re doing the right thing as of the moment. God bless you young man.
I totally know how you feel about your dog. Mine had DKA and died this March. My heart is still hurting. I spent $4000 just within 24 hours, went to 2 ERs and one regular vet because it was on weekend. I still remembered how those hours were when I heard bad news about him… one of the darkest hour of my life! Hope your pup gets better but it will hurt when he leaves you
Hi Will, I am so sorry to hear about Rambo's Health crisis. How scary to have him collapse like that. Our fur babies mean so much to us. I am glad you were able to seek help and get a somewhat diagnosis. Lots of love to Rambo. Of course, I want a tour of your new place, when you're ready. I will be checking out your new channel. Take care and thanx for the update.
So sorry to hear what you and Rambo have been dealing with. I wish him good health and recovery. I don’t know anything about this condition but I’ve gotten lots of great information from Dr Judy Morgan, she is a retired vet who has a TH-cam channel and Facebook page. Best of luck to you both! ❤️🩹
Wishing your dog Rambo and you the best for many more years of good living. He is lucky to have an adventurous owner and live in a beautiful climate. Seize the days amigo
I'm so sorry to hear about Rambo's illness, but I'm glad he is doing well now! Hopefully he has a long, long, long time left with you. I have had dogs live several years past the vet's estimated expiration date and they were elderly at the time, so I have a lot of hope for young Rambo!!
Apart from an 8" survivor knife, stun gun, mace, and machete, I added a Bruni New Police 9mm Pak blank pistol (very loud) and a .50 cal Umarex TR50 Paintball Revolver paintball airgun to my RV arsenal. Both are non-lethal and under $100. I also added on each side of the RV solar motion sensor LED lights and have an intruder alert.
I'm so happy that Rambo is do better. How are you? I remember when I had my Daisy and she would get sick.. it's takes your breath away and all you want to do is take care of them and want our babies to be healthy to be ok. But I'm so happy he is better.
I’m new subscriber. My Boxer- TYSON - is a sweet boy too. At first I thought of maybe “kennel cough” but you’ve had so many tests done, and ruled out. Do I detect a slight accent? Canadian or Belgian🇧🇪? Most of allI I wish for Rambo a complete recovery!
Big fan of ur channel and Rambo fan too I really hope u can visit the vet and help Rambo with the biopsy since not knowing is more stressful than just ignoring the X-ray mass showing I really hope u can help rambo and he can stay healthy with good care from you and the vet :) best wishes
My Dog has had a bad cough. for years none of the vets knew why we finally found a vet trhatthe vet said it was an allergy and gave him some medications and now he is much better. He is 14 years old., I would not let the Vet use him as a Gunny pig . Many times they are just looking for ways to run the bill up.
18 plus year expat here. Did you say primary care physician for your dog? America has very much changed since I've been there... I think you mentioned he was in California which would make sense. In California they have better health care for their pets than the people lol...
What a relief. Rambo is doing well and he should come out of it completely. I believe you made the right choices. I will definitely check out your channel. Enjoy each day as it comes. If anything changes, Rambo will let you know.
Poor Rambo I’ll pray 🙏 for his health to improve i hope he lives a very long life he’s lucky to have a good dad giving him the best quality life with lots of love keeping him happy and comfortable including a good diet with lots of nutrition as well as keeping him hydrated keeping him warm when it’s cold are the best things you can do for him right now while keeping an eye on him
It is so frustrating and worrisome when our little ones have troubles that doctors have trouble diagnosing. I've been through something similar with my boy these last couple of months. Specialists, diet change, medicine... $3k and he has improved some but not completely. I just want to say I understand. 💛
I've spent similar money.. My conclusion is that these doctors caused his problems and now they are charging me to fix it but they aren't even fixing anything, just multiplying their profits. It's a greed game and no one is being honest. At this point, I trust TH-cam doctors and vets more than I do my local ones.
@@WillandRambothat’s why I don’t take my corgi to vets. I learned to treat his UTIs and giardia with herbs. Vets are businesses just like doctors. All they want is to charge your credit card, the more the better. My dad in Ukraine never takes his German shepherd to vets. He is the healthiest dog I ever seen. Eats primal diet of raw beef.
When you love your dog, their health issues hit you hard. I have a rescue that has seizures but under 5 sec and not every month. I give CBD oil everyday seem to help. I do not want heavy meds. Last year my dog became paralyzed in the hind legs. So that took neurologists to figuire it was a herniated disc. I am grateful to God that I could dip into my retirement account and put off home improvements , big deal ..... cost me $8,000 all in all and now I watch she does jump and exert herself but she is my prime responsibilty and I love my little dog so much. I feel real bad for folks who cannot afford these very expensive vet bills, even just ordinary vaccines and wellness exams needed for proof to groomers and dog day cares. Bless Rambo. Hope he prevails. ( this is not for everyone but I am big on prayers to St Francis and OCT is his feastday and we take all our pets to Church for blessings after Mass ).
wondering if something got into his lungs from the anesthesia for his neutering. Did a piece of tubing fall in, or some food that was lodged in his mouth?
Sounds like Rambo may have been coughing (like trying to get something up & out) the hiccup he had maybe dislodged something & maybe OK now :) Strange things happen Good Luck
Poor Rambo bless him, vets are a rip of if you don't have insurance,I've just lost my beloved dog Buddy he needed Surgery on his teeth which was going to cost me over a grand, I've created a chat group about getting help for your dog if you can't afford vets fees, RSPCA no help Blue Cross no help dog rescue no help ,so sadly my baby passed away he was a rescue dog, he was 12yrs old ,I had buatfull cremation for him miss him terribly , I would like to say you know your dog vets only treat them and RIP you of, thy are magical but to pricey good luck with Rambo, 🐶🐕🙏
He eats Honest Kitchen.. dehydrated human grade food.. I’d have to spend about $300-400 per month for a dog his size / weight for the kinda raw diet I’d want him on.. anyway.. he’s doing well food wise but thank you.
Take him to a chiropractor who treats animals. When he was neutered he was moved around in an unconcious state. He may have a misaligned vertibrae and pinched nerve in his stomach. It costs the same as a human chiropractor.
@@WillandRambowhy did you neuter him? I am asking because I have a corgi almost 4 years old. He is ok by being intact but I worry that other male dogs especially large ones might attack him because of that.
Did Rambo, aspirate during his surgery??? That’s what happens when material enters the airways and then the lungs by accident during surgery. . Hopefully this can clear up on its own if this is what happened to him during surgery. I would ask the vet who did his surgery , and looking them straight in the eye for answers. If this is what happened, being that he was healthy prior to surgery, I wish you luck that this vet would own up to it. This can heal but sometimes can cause health problems. Do some research on this. You are lucky he’s still with you Kisses for Rambo, and hoping for the very best outcome. 🙏🏼🩵🐶🥰
I agree with you as well. I think these vets are full of shit and they are all fear mongering money grabbing thieves. The first vet could have told me what you just did but instead, made me worry with so many sleepless nights. I honestly think it was because of his neuter that he got sick like this and as you said, he might have aspirated during his surgery which the vet told me nothing about.. even AFTER telling them about it and having them give me the meds.. smh... They prob figured I would contact them anyway so they can charge me more money.. it makes me sick thinking about it. Anyway.. I lost faith in vets but its a necessary evil.. PS: I put Rambo on Taurine supplements for his heart.. regardless if he has an arrhythmia or not.
@@WillandRambo , at some point if at all possible please get another X-ray of his lungs to see if that mass has shrunk.
