I was watching van life videos and came across one of yours from two years ago and you brought up your fba business was dying. I then clicked on this one. I have an FBA business as well. I did wholesale to begin with and now have my own brands in supplements and health food. From my experience, I would never dabble in products made in China nowadays. The competition is ruthless and if you do well they'll just copy you. Only way to beat them is through really good branding which is still difficult. Doing wholesale is a great opportunity, especially bringing in popular products from other countries. I have a few friends that do a few million year just buying from distributors and selling on amazon with about 20% margin after fees. Or focus on consumable products since it removes all china sellers. With amazon its all about finding opportunities and capitalizing on it. You got this! I wish you all the best 👍
Wow! What an excellent quote: Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times. I love this quote. It resonates with so many of our life experiences!!
From my perspective, retail arbitrage is time consuming, one-offs, and the margin is not great when selling fees, shipping fees, and FBA storage fees are accounted for. It requires continuous searching for the next sale. There's a reason items are discounted in the first place, whether they are unpopular items, seasonal, or have irregularities in some way. I like your consulting business a lot better. It doesn't involve a physical product in which you have to source, ship, and deal with returns. I think something similar to this is a better path. It's impossible to compete against Chinese sellers these days. You can't beat them at their own games.
These are the best kinds of videos! Entrepreneurship reality is critical, this is way more interesting than Vanlife stuff. Can you make a reading list of the best books and knowkedge sources like classes you considered the most useful? I know theres no shortcut to success but id love to hear from someone whos been self employed for decades not just a few years. Would you ever consider paying others to sponser your products? Also men love to buy when they see pretty woman, I think nowdays with social media that factor is bigger than before. I could be wrong tho
If you’re 100% brand new and have no foundation to start a business, I recommend rich dad, poor dad but if you already know the concepts, forget books.. instead, just begin.. eBay, Walmart, Amazon.. Shopify.. whatever.. from there.. just google or TH-cam the answers you’re looking for. People are out there in your shoes and they already have the answers you’re looking for. So rather than read for the sake of reading beyond general concepts, prioritize taking action then solving problems along the way. This is what I recommend.
I won’t give up the weather and the lifestyle to save $1500 on rent & expenses. Never sacrifice quality of life because of challenges that can be solved. Instead, focus on solutions.
So should I post update videos and Amazon style videos in the future? Leave a comment below!
Yes. I'm interested in becoming my own employer. I'm tired of busting my chops for executives.

What is you business called? Do you have a link to it?
I don’t share my business to the public for obvious reasons. The internet is full of ugliness.

Hoping the Euro-pivot works out for you! I hear you about the drudgery of a 9-to-5 job.
