As we begin to conclude the letter of 1 John, we run into some strange passages. But as we will see, John is explaining theological concepts for the foundation of the Church. Christians are people of God, so we have to make sure we are in relationship with the right God--namely, Jesus. John helps us make sure we know how to identify the real Jesus.
