Please, Show Me The Way - Truth Over Trends [Part 14, 1 John 5:13-20]
There are many competing voices trying to state the "best way" to get the most out of life. So many myths and illusions--but we seek the truth. In this letter from John to the church, he shows us the way to get the most out of life is by living with the One true God! This week's scripture is coined the pastoral summary of the letter. John gives us great insight and direction for the entire Family of God.

As we begin to conclude the letter of 1 John, we run into some strange passages. But as we will see, John is explaining theological concepts for the foundation of the Church. Christians are people of God, so we have to make sure we are in relationship with the right God namely, Jesus. John helps us make sure we know how to identify the real Jesus.

God is not mad at you. God loves you. The Bible make this clear over and over. However, it can be hard to think we're friends with God as we continue to feel like failures. Thankfully, the Apostle John gives us guidance on how to maintain a strong relationship with God, and we learn of some helpful tools to gauge whether or not we're "good with God."
