Thank you for this video. I have two codes (2007 Dodge Caravan 3.3L 204K km) so far and I can't see these codes affecting my driving or gas consumption -P0456 & P0441. However, I can smell the exhaust gases when I start my minivan or drive it on the streets. Would you happen to know if there is a crack in the exhaust system causing this issue and how it can
Rockauto sells the injector regulator for 80 bucks and they also sell the fuel rail for 116 bucks. The fuel rail with the regulator is available from Chrysler but the later rails that came without the regulator from, 2001- 2007 have been discontinued. PN 4861666AA is a fuel rail that is supposed to fit 3.3's from 2007 to 2011 but it's almost 200 bucks. FYI Happy Motoring.
Was this reply for me? I’m having issues of getting alerts on replies and my reply back to others. I’m little confused on u mess u said fuel rails came without reg was 2001 was correct? Mine does have one .. rock auto was out stock but I haven’t check if it’s in stock but if this was meant for me thank u..
@@mostlymoparih5682 I appreciate that.. I look at rock auto but no cust number to contact.. I guess only emails.. I don’t feel comfortable a company that can’t speak on phone especially using ur credit card.. I have seen one in stock from Factory Chrysler Parts do u know much of this company? It does have a number out Fla.. thanks!
Thank you for this video. In this video, you mentioned that Chrysler has upgraded that fuel rail not having that valve any longer. What year is your minivan? My minivan 2007 has a strong fuel smell especially when I start driving. I will explore today whether I have the same valve on the rail. Just verified - no such valve there on the rail.
I have a question i have 01 DGC sports and just in oct or Nov last yr replaced a fuel injector wire harness bcz it was melted wires… now the last few days it cold here in Ohio I warm the car up and I smell strong gas under the hood and in my van could this be the issue if so why it take 2 in half months to start? If this is case will it catch on fire? Right now it too cold try work on it I have take my son to wrk like 7 miles away .. The only codes had last was vacuum line and both my pvc hose and breathe hose both have cracked I try black tape it till I find replacement bcz my auto store don’t carry it online dodge said it discontinued… I really appreciate ur help.. I’m just worried of car catch on fire… O I try to look if see gas on engine , on the side of ignition coil there some dampness can’t tell if gas yet bcz engine was hot..
Okay so if the injectors was replaced and no matter if it was 1 or 2 etc no matter what that being touched it could be one of the O'Rings is leaken now and could have gotten pintched when the fuel rail was poped back in or it actually could be what happened to this van . They have clips too that pop in that holds the injectors in the fuel rail and if that's locked in good and over time pressure from fuel will pop that loose and leak If there's any fuel smell or leaken I wouldn't drive it until that's checked to see where it's leaken at because that can catch fire , exhaust gets very hot and if it is spraying put or leaken bad enough it can get to the exhaust or the coil pack and catch fire
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I’m sorry if u didn’t understand me and no I never had fuel injector replaced.. we replaced the fuel injector wire harnesses only.. when replaced wire harness we snap on / off never too rail off.. I say the rings are probably wore out since Ik they never been replaced.. I’m 2 owner I got it after in 04 or 05 warranty was out 3 yrs 36,000 miles .. @@theresam8809 yes I would double check that fuel rail and make sure the O'Rings are not bad and leaken some how or something in that area isn't leaken if you smell fuel that bad and if one time u don't and then u do I'm not sure
