This is why I don't really like this game as much as I could. It's so goddamn good to just play non commital and up back all day while chasing someone is a great risk. Kinda sucks.
My issue is mainly that individual characters are not that good at dealing with it - you have to consider assists as part of your moveset. If you do this, then by extension, it limits the pool of characters you can pick from... It's why I think float is disproportionately too good and too easy :/. There are more points than just the assist thing, but I think it matters since people complain about tournament players picking similar teams. They have to! If not, you literally can't catch people and the matches take very long since nothing is really happening :(
I hate playing people that play like that I played someone like that two days ago and I found out the best way to play against them is play good neutral, use specials, and assists and be patient eventually they’ll make a mistake or you’ll open them up.
@@LordKnightfgc very true. Even if don't really have a problem with people picking toptiers. Sure it's fun to watch different characters in play but in a system based fighter like fighterz there will always be one char that plays the game a little better than the others. But as you say, this game would benefit a lot from something that allows for solo chars to deal with jumping. I would like to se more grounded movement options being used in general and maybe I'll pick this game up again.
My biggest problem is facing people that just wait there full screen for me to do something. I don't like how these types of players make the game into a staring match
Yes, but in a practical sense, from a movement perspective (especially when compared to other Arc Sys games), there is 0 invincibility. Also, it is very rare to see people use backdashes specifically to beat throws.
@@LordKnightfgc only in mid air if someone has a sort of anti air grab is backdash going to be used to dodge grabs. If there's any other way to avoid those kinds of grabs when you're in position for them to hit you idk what it is. For example roshi Mafuba into thunder shock has them at perfect position to get hit and I believe that only backdash will save them
You can also jump above the beam. Doing that will have the SD track you to the air and you can smack them out of it with your normals. The timing for hitting them isn't as hard as you might think. Just set the computer to super dash after you attack and practice jumping and hitting them out of the air.
It's actually really easy, beam or ki blast them as they are touching back down and jail them into a vanish, start your attack string/ pressure. Jail means to force them to block, and vanishing at the right time will mean it is a true block string that they can't get out of. Remember if you see them use their double jump. They can no longer IAD or jump again, so they must touch down to reset their air options. Unfortunately, jailing isn't really taught, and ironically it works stupidly well against online players because most (at lower levels) don't know the person blocking vanish who is grounded is minus and the vanisher is plus. So you just "mash" after your vanish and if they press anything other than level 3 or DP or a reversal they get hit.
Ur vids help me so much. When I first found your channel I was in ssj3 rank and now I'm a living legend due to ur guides

Excellent break down. I never knew about the float, going to have to check that out next time I play. Seems really good for subtle mix ups.

@@LordKnightfgc exactly! It's why GT assist is pretty much a must in this game right now.
Keep it up LK and make sure you flip it -hand flips-

I main dbs broly but I don't know is he good or not ?
How about u play him and find out?
at around 1:25, it sounded like you said "no invincibility." back dashes have throw invincibility.

Any tips if your opponent is always using beam assists when they are SDing?
Try and read when they like to call the assist. Reflect it. It may not lead to a punish but they will be down an assist

I have no idea what i´m doing in the match lmao, I just forget to block xd
How do you counter this form of play ?
