You don't need anyone else's forgiveness (unless you wronged someone), but God's. I too, am going through a rough time in my life, and after 4 months of it I have gone through hell only to realize that God has always been waiting for me with open arms, ready to give me His peace. That's all you need, man...you have His love already! What you need is His peace that surpasses all understanding. If we have that, there is NOTHING, NOTHING we can't go through, including death. I dare you to try. I don't know you personally, but I will pray for you and everyone else like you and me. God bless!
I have lost my Mom last Sunday morning and my brother in-law today (Saturday), two love ones in a week, just found some comfort in this spiritual music series, thank you Lord!

I got into this New Age cult and it made my life a living hell. I threw away all my crystals and other pagan stuff. Now I'm praying for God's mercy and forgiveness.
God surely is forgiving and I thank Him for that. I know that the path is narrow and hard to walk but I will try my best. I also know that God doesn't like people who bear no good fruit in His name. So do you know what a woman can do in order to worship God. I know a woman should know her place.
He sent His only Son Jesus Christ on the cross to die for you and through Christ you are reconciled with God. Once you made/you do repentance prayer God immediately forgives you. Tia K Inbox me for more info but a few things I'm a seminary student and i should be writing a paper on Romans but you get priority. 1) Read Romans and find a pastor or mature christian who can guide you through it particularly Romans 3 to 6. 2) Salvation has been given to you freely and without burden, you do not have to earn your place with God the only salvation is found in Christ, and I will gladly tell you about it 3) Yes the path is narrow and it can be tough but God knows you are weak which is why he came down as Christ to die for you and rose again to show he overcame he than provided Holy Spirit and scripture to be your guide. The path is tough but its a lot tougher if you think you need to 'impress' God, you are under grace not the law. 4) Don't you dare think less of yourself for being a woman. Your place is a daughter of God, people have placed restrictions because of a need to control, Christ didn't think less of the Samaritan woman and he doesn't think less of you. Worshiping God means following Christ to realize that you are created in God's image and he made you. To worship God is to give yourself to him wholly and fully, and starts with Christ. But NT does emphasise good works a lot "Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire." etc. Also bible forbids women teaching or speaking in church or using authority over man. Bible also says that the head of every man is Christ and head of every women is man. I do believe that if I'm no use to kingdom of God I will be cast down. I don't think that salvation comes by faith or grace alone.

That is so true. I wish my church played the same hymns I hear at my grandmother's and great-grandmother's church...there are songs I have never even heard! I feel so awful just pretending I know those lovely songs.
I was just watching a video about Man centered worship music, and God centered worship music, this is the true music and I'm just starting to realize. We love to invent new ways of entertainment to invite people into our services.

As I was reading the comments, I pray that each and everyone of you continue to Worship our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, because He is the only one that is going to save us from our mortal bodies. Open your hearts and let Him in!!! He is waiting with all the love and comfort to guide us to His Throne at the Foot of the Cross. He is our best friend, talk to His about everything, and believe me He will see us all through whatever your situation might be He will direct your steps and set you on solid ground, Repent your sins give it to the one and only that will save you, no one else but Him. But God, He changed me. I was praying for friends and confident. idnt notice He was already doing it. He was already making a move. And now i realized how much ive change. God is good. Share with you: When I was teenager I called Jesus My Big Brother and wrote diary to His Name. After my husband died I still wrote to Him and called Him my Lover. When I turned 60 years old, I called Him my Master. I conclude my diary always with this: " I (Love = a heart symbol instead of word) U. Now I am 70 years old, and... just like you... I'm so thankful to God who has been always walking beside me through all bumps, chicken holes, elephant holes... in my hard life. Life is so hard to me, but God is so good to me, dear Gerald. God loves you. Please keep your faith strong, especially in this broken world... Affectionately.

Hymns aren't uncool. Especially in Reformed circles, modern hymns are being made and are making a comeback. A few examples are Kristyn and Keith Getty, Sovereign Grace, Indelible Grace, etc. Hymns are awesome and deeeeeep. =)

Am very sick, in hospital. Wound in throat not healing. Not from smoking, don't know what happened? Jesus please bring healing. Had vocal cord injection and things went bad
Trendy or not trendy, these are the hymns I remember from younger days singing in the choir. When we sang we had only the piano or the organ to accompany us so if I close my eyes, I can feel 40 years younger and picture myself belting out these songs in praise of my saviour. It makes me happy and it turns my thoughts to Jesus - so it doesn't matter how 'trendy' it is.

We can see God everyday.. Through the clouds the grass the trees through our children. How can any of these come from mere coincidence.. Only our heavenly father could have created such marvelous and beautiful things. We have a choice . we choose to believe in a God that is all mighty and powerful full of love and Grace and know that one day when we die we will meet him and be reunited with our loved ones...or we choose to believe that everything is here just because and when we die that's it...we just die. That is incredibly sad. I put my faith and trust I'm God because I choose to believe there is more to our lives than what the world has to offer. I love listening to this holy music, especially while I read my bible and do my devotional. It helps me to concentrate on God and shuts out the world and the devil who is always ready to annoy you with suggestions that will take your mind off our God. It takes you to a place where the only ones there are God and you!

God gave me the gift of music and I pray that the Holy Spirit can be seen through me as I perform songs for the Lord. Singing is my greatest passion, I want nothing more but to witness to others through means of song and worship our creator. Everyone has a special character about them. Some how God helped me during such a long period of hopelessness. Look for the brightness in the day, no matter how small it feels. What blessing to read so many loving comments. You cannot deny God is great by looking at the contrast between these comments and those on most of youtube. I reminded of my community at First Baptist Church in Clear Lake and how so many of the members built into as a child and then a young man. Thank you for uploading the 'non trendy' old hymns of yesteryear. I am wary of these happy clappy rock and roll so called hymns - they are fodder to tickle the ear of many 'modern' believers. As a relatively new believer who lived "in the world" a long time, I appreciate Christian music that meets and replaces the old garbage I used to like in a genre that I still like. The words, as long as they are glorifying God is what is important, not whether or not there is only a piano or guitar or if the accompanying back-beat is played by a hard driving drum. Different music appeals at different times, sometimes this music is what my soul needs and sometimes when I'm on the road driving by myself, I crank up David Crowder, Toby Mac or NewsBoys and sing and worship at the top of my lungs with joyful abandon. Different stokes...
They are so calming. I love them, these are hymns in the true sense of the word.

By separating genres, we assume a "higher" standard of music. Music is music. The difference is what the message in that song is, and its purpose. For instance, there could be a love song to a mother, and this song does not become "worldly" just because it is not "spiritual." Jesus said to honor your mother and father, is this not a praise to the Lord? A sign of obedience? Man are sinners, and no one is clean, so essentially, all music is "wordly," because it originated in the world. God does not want us to label. Jesus wanted everything to be simple, his messages were direct and understandable. He was perfection.

Churches have a great loss today as many do not sing hymns any more and if some do it is so few a far between. I was brought up with these precious words that lift my spirit up and makes my heart glad again. I have almost wanted to give up on church because the way we are forced into the new style of worship. When I hear the hymns like these I pick up my trumpet to play along and praise the Lord in music and song in the privacy of my home. The hymns inspire me to keep playing my trumpet as I enjoy the richness and beauty that I long for.

Absolutely. Not only that, He will give you the strength to beat your addiction. He loves you and wants you to have life abundantly!
Ask Him to help you overcome your addiction through the power of the Holy Spirit, and He will answer your prayers. He did it for me. 13 years enslaved to multiple substances... the last two earnestly seeking Him and praying for freedom. Sober for a few months now for the first time in my adult life.
Sobriety did not happen overnight for me, though I’ve heard it can for some people. I would give up using/drinking for a while and then fall back. Like I said, that went on a couple years. Be prepared for the devil to invade your thoughts with things like, “Just one won’t hurt.” When I gave in to those thoughts, they would increase. Instead, resist and the devil will flee from you. Take every thought captive to Christ. Read the Bible to renew your mind, and it will get easier/better as time passes.
God isn’t waiting for you to clean up to save you. He wants your broken, humble heart to turn to Him so that He can do the cleaning up for you! His mercies are new every morning!

Dear sister, I am so happy you are concerned with the purity of praise to our Heavenly Father - it's such a precious privilege of His saints! I do not want in any way to cause controversy or upset, but having been blessed so much by hymns by authors such as Charles Wesley, William Gadsby, etc. I would ask a few questions:
1. What do you take to mean by Ephesians 5:19, "speaking to yourselves in psalms AND hymns AND spiritual songs"? In the original Greek the words are separate meanings, not all referring to Psalms. All scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16), so how can we say that psalms only are to be sung when the living Word of God says otherwise?
2. In Revelation John records the God-given vision of the elders and church of God around the throne singing "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and honour and riches and wisdom etc." (Revelation 5:12). This is no psalm - God is honoured by praise He gives to the mouths and hearts of His people. If hymns (and I'm definitely not saying all hymns are sound or pure) are the song God has put into the hearts of His people on earth, should we be questioning that?

I love this so much. Being in college can be really stressing and having spiritual music while you study is so uplifting and hopeful. I have an apartment and don't see my family a lot so I often miss them. It helps to have christian music because it reminds us of the love of God and encouraging on our day to day lives.
