Hi all. This time I tried cleaned prefilter without switching a filter off. I did everything wrong, so I will be doing this in wright way in next movie. Stay tuned :)
:D. I have two Eheim Classic 600 (the old 2217) and they have the quick release hose locks. If I try and take the head off while both valves (intake and outlet) are closed, the negative pressure is too strong. What happens is, when I pull the head, it tries to create a mini vacuum inside the canister and this is too strong to overcome. If I open the outlet valve, a small jet of water comes out like it was under pressure and then the head comes off very easily. edit. Ah, so you turned off the wrong pipe. :)
Yes I didn't turn off intake valve off completely, but I sort this problem out in my last AquaEl movie. BTW will be another movie How To Clean Ultramax Prefilter While Filter Is Runnning. What you need to do and how, so stay tuned :)

I think is a very good feature but I think I didn't clean to often. Next time I will clean more regularly :)
