Najawin ya you're right here. The tower isn't ever forced open by anyone. The webtoon did have some people saying that at first because they were people who didnt actually know. But later on characters who did know the ins and outs of the tower said all Irregulars are those the tower has chosen instead of Headon

•Inner Area is the one that regulars and rankers climb and do the challenges.
•Middle Area just connects them both. kinda like a staircase of the tower. people dont usually live in it but there are people in there.
-Headon the Caretaker of the tower chooses "worthy" people from the Outer Area or Middle Area to become " Regulars " and once regulars reach the " TOP " of the tower they are considered rankers.
-Irregulars are people who got into the inner tower through accident or force.

Yeah Khun "Aguero" is a reference to Kun Agüero, the Argentina soccer player. The author likes soccer and you will see many soccer players names in Tower of God.
If that would be it I obviously wouldn't mind. But his obsession with gym clothing as well...particular if the character at first was wearing something cool...sigh -_-

Any anime only who reads your comment will take it literally or will underestimate how rare irregulars are as they will think by our standrards of life expectancy. It would be more accurate if you said once in a thousand years which would give anime only a more accurate idea of the tower irregulars and their rarity.
All the 10 clan leaders, Bam’s father and mother, Jahad, Enryu, Phantaminum, Urek and Bam are the only irregulars to ever exist.

cool reaction guys. just some info on bam and rachels relationship so it's easier to understand. rachel is like his mother figure. she found him, taught him things and gave him a name, took care of him, and was there for him when he needed it. it's also why he describes himself as being owned by rachel, as parents own their children. When rachel left it gave him a similar feeling to a mother abandoning him, so his goal is kinda to find his "mother"

periodically, chooses people from the outer tower to climb the Inner Tower, these guys are called Regulars.
An Irregular, like Bam, was not chosen by Headon, he actually opened the gate to the tower himself.
Like it was said in the anime, Irregulars from the past proved to be extremely strong, could Bam be the exception? Or does he holds more than the eyes could see? Wait for the next episodes...
Bam has the most potential and that’s why he is an irregular. It ain’t a spoiler but in the manhwa, ooooh boi Bam is op as fuck. I swear to God!!!

The soccer player is "Sergio Aguero" nickname: Kun without H.
The Agnis is just the Surname of his mother. The name of the character is Aguero.
The elder brother of Aguero is Khun Marco Asensio. Marco Asensio is a spanish soccer Player too.

Anaak and Khun aren't irregulars, irregulars are super rare like they show up maybe once in a hundred or even thousands of years. Hopefully they explain irregulars a little better because in the manwa by this point you understand what irregulars are pretty well.

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if i remember correctly irregular can be concluded on 2 kind , first are whom open the tower by himself, and second is the one who got chosen by the tower himself. Siu confirm this in his blog, and this makes sense because, there's actually the third type.
Since you're new i will say that this is spoiler go ahead if you're okay.
The third type is rachel, rachel is irregular who happened to get inside the tower by slipping through the gate. The tower opened and choose bam but rachel simply underneath him. That's why after the gate closed, it's opened again since the tower recognise that the one they need doesn't get inside. You might be wonder so why rachel doesnt get like "spit out" well there's only way to enter, there's no way to get out when u inside.
Which makes bam the second type of irregular, because as you can see, he never have any thought to go up to the tower he doesn't even know if the tower exist until rachel told him so how come he opened the gate himself?the only reason is because the tower it self choose him it's different with what headon did, what headon did is choosing the regular to maintain the power of the king.
It's very rare though but yeah sonetime the tower choose people based on what the tower need and in this series bam is the only one known for it so yeah him and rachel are both irregular.

Note: A Regular is someone chosen to enter the tower by Headon and an Irregular is someone not chosen but forcibly or accidentally entered the inner tower.
The inner tower is for both regulars and irregulars to climb. The regulars are people who are chosen to climb the tower(most of them lived in the outer tower) and the irregulars are people who aren't chosen but they open the door to climb the tower. Irregulars are hard to come by so there aren't alot.
For anyone that's still kinda confused.
Outer Tower (Residential Area) is where everyone grows up and lives in their world. Inner Tower is where regulars can climb the tower. Middle Area connects them both.
Headon picks people from the Outer Tower to come and take the tests and climb the Inner Tower, these people are called regulars. People who enter the Inner Tower on their own are called Irregulars.
The show kinda made it look like Headon picked Bam but he actually opened door by himself when he saw Rachel go in.
Headon can pick people from anywhere in the tower. People can live in the inner tower too, they just can't climb if they're not regulars.
And since Headon picks them, they go straight to floor 2, or the floor of tests, where they undergo tests to see if they’re worthy to climb the rest of the tower on their own. Since bam was an irregular, Headon gave him a special test on floor 1 to sorta gauge and get a feel for bam and his motives. Irregulars open the tower on their own (even though it looked like the tower was beckoning bam) and Headon being the caretaker, intercepts it and greets them.

Just to cleare something up for you guys, regular has 2 different meaanings here.
There's regular as in what Bam is not, ie: not irregulars.
And there's Ragulars as in people eho are climbingthe tower, they are in general referred to as regulars.
So when for example Khun says "only a handful of regulars are monsters like them", he means only a handful of people who climb the tower are that strong.

Even if you are not born in the tower and chosen by Headon to climb you are a regular. So Rachel's a regular but Bam opened the tower gate to follow Rachel and met Headon when he was already inside. Headon let him go for a reason ( I don't know , on season 2 only in manhwa). So Bam is an irregular.

But most of the normal people in outer tower live in there during their whole life. Additionally, the area of each floors (outer tower) is similar to that of the american continent. It's not a spoiler, just information author revealed.
You guys are in for a treat! This manhwa is a master piece, SIU the creator is a genius just like Oda, hope you guys keep watching and enjoying the show. The storyline, how SIU just keep the details even to the later chapter, is just amazing, and also all the character is just unique! And about the confusion about regulars and irregulars is that irregulars are super rare, that got into the tower especially were super strong just like the ranker said, so irregulars are kinda feared, just because they are "irregulars". Regulars are people born inside the tower in the outer tower. They are chosen by Headon and put on the 2nd floor in the inner tower to climb.
Irregulars were people from outside the tower(Why Baam said another world) who manage to enter the tower themselves. Irregulars then get tested on the first floor by Headon.
Regulars get teleported straight to the 2nd floor.
Irregulars are super rare and it isn't the type of thing you'd advertise unless you were super strong. This is why in episode 1 Yuri is wondering why Baam is so weak for an Irregular.

Irregulars have to go to floor 1 which is Headons floor. Headon chooses whether they are worthy of climbing the tower. Regulars are already chosen so they go the floor 2 or the floor of tests to see if they are strong enough to survive the tower.

Everybody in there is a regular. Only bam is the irregular. Everybody grew up in the residential area (outertower) which is in the tower, where bam and Rachel came from is still unknown, and Rachel is a human as well.
Difference between regulars and irregulars is that regulars are ppl chosen by headon (for example rachel, when the door opened for her) and irregulars are those that the tower chose (not headon) (we can see this when the door opened for bam, and then a hand came out and took him).
In the case of headon meeting bam and testing him, headon was just doing his job of testing all those that make it to the first floor.

you are pretty spot on, the only thing wrong is that rachel is also an irregular, because she also opened the door. You'll learn later on from rachel perspective exactly why and how they got in the tower.
And yes, regulars are directly chosen by headon and irregulars are chosen by the tower.

The thing I can tell you is that from what I remember from the manhwa regulars don't see the door (Headon appears in front of them and takes them to the tower). But when it comes to irregulars the door appears in front of them. Headon just tests them to see if they are worthy to stay in the tower.
If you don’t understand the outer district (residential) is where all regulars live before they attempt to climb the tower, the inner is where all the test happen, and the middle is the place in between, they are all sections in the tower, irregulars come from places outside the tower
Regulars are people chosen by the tower or heading (the caretaker). Irregulars are people who forced their way into the tower, they are often considered dangerous.
An irregular being in the tower is not a normal occurrence. Everyone is considered a regular in the tower except for like 3 people out of the hundreds of thousands if not millions of regulars in the tower.
Irregulars are people that opened the tower by themselves, regulars those chosen by Headon, Rankers are the people that have gone through to the top of the tower, Bam is one of only some odd 11 irregulars if I remember correctly and not from another world but actually under the tower, Rachel is a normal regular.
Let me explain a little bit something about the Lore. You will not find this in the webtoon, but in side notes of the author and extra material. As you saw people normally born and live on the Tower (in residential or middle area) and at some point, if they’re talented enough, they’re selected by Headon to climb. They start directly in the 2nd floor and doesn’t have to pass any test by Headon like Bam did, they just start climbing like in the Battle Royale. Bam as an irregular has the ability to “summon” the gate of the tower to get in, and he start on the floor 1. Headon put that hard test on him because irregulars are normally super powerful and he wanted to see Bam’s courage.
i know everyone's writing this already but let's make it easy and clear..
outer tower : where everyone is born
inner tower : where they climb the tower
middle tower : the one connecting outer and inner tower
regular : the one chosen by Headon to climb the tower (they are born in outer tower)
irregular : the one who is NOT chosen by Headon BUT open the tower's door by themselves (they are also born in the outer tower)
Bam : an irregular who was born OUTSIDE OF THE TOWER (that's why he said "other world" in this episode)

I feel like one thing the anime has been kind of bad at doing is portraying the impact of what an irregular is. They cut out a large dialog between Yuri and Evan from episode one that adds more meat to what an irregular is and what that means for Bam. If you're interested, I recommend you read Chapter three of the Manhwa (Episode 1 covered through half of chapter 6, but cut out the beginning of chapter 3 which is right before Yuri steps on Bam's face).
most of it is info dumping on stuff we dont NEED to know of yet. they also gave that dialogue to Lero Ro, and he simplified it to a point, not an overbearing exposition like Yuri did.
Irregulars become important in the beginning of Part 2, so there will likely be heavy dialogues about them since Baam actually discovers more about them during the first few arcs in Part 2.
They're probably going to introduce more info in later episodes.

currently, the tower witness the appearance of atleast 17 irregullars: phantanium (rank 1), enryu (rank 2), urek mazino (rank 4), king jahard (rank 3) with 10 other family heads that make up jahard empire, baam and rachel are latest irregular, 2 other are *big spoiler* , they are super duper rare, like a mozart in human world
Baam is an irregular due to the fact that he open the tower by his own, and so does other irregular
Regulars are chosen from the outer tower by headon. Irregulars come from outside the towers and Headon didnt choose them.
In other words, Headon opened the door to the inner tower for regulars, while irregulars opened the door for themselves
regulars are choosen by headon and they came from the outer tower. So basically irregulars are people who came from the outside of the tower.
For her question at 7:58, When they said 120 regulars passed that means 119 regulars as well as Bam who is an irregular. He's still being counted as a regular since no one else knows he's an irregular, not even the rankers running the tests.
Regulars are those who are invited to climb the tower by headon. When headon invites them headon opens the doors to the tower for them. Irregular are those who open to the door to the tower by themselves without and invitation from headon
Bam was not chosen by Headon. But Headon as caretaker of the tower knows where and when someone is entering. Because Bam entered without invitation, he gave him an "impossible" test.

The difference between irregulars and regulars, is regulars were born in the tower and are invited to climb, irregulars forcefully enter the tower from the outside.
What you felt while watching these episodes, is the feeling I have when I read the first episode of the manhwa..
The structure of the tower is weird. The tower itself is 100+ floors. Each floor is separated into 3 sections the outer part, which is the residential area, the middle section, and the inner tower. Each floor has these three sections. Now when headon chooses a regular to climb the tower, he chooses from the outer tower on any 100 plus floors and sends them to the first floor of the inner tower to begin their journey. So that's how it works.
Somethings which were explained better in the first chapters are that irregulars are not chosen by Headon if you remember their was the hand which grabbed bam into the tower. Bam was chosen by the tower itself. Regardless whether you are chosen by the tower or headon, headon is who gives out the test on the first floor.
The creator SIU (Slave in Utero) is a big fan of Argentinian soccer players and as Bleach he uses a lot of Spanish as well

Irregular and Regular are not mutually exclusive terms. A Regular is someone who is taking the tests to climb up the tower. They are almost all exclusively chosen/approved by Headon from residents born within the tower. An Irregular is someone who entered the tower of their own accord (which by extension means that they came from outside the tower). That is why only Baam took a test from Headon. So an Irregular who is climbing a tower is still considered a Regular within the tower's system.

you should think of irregulars as something outside of the towers logic/principles. for example: in this episode they explained outer,inner and middle tower, when they explain stuff like that about the tower you shouldn't be thinking about where irregulars fit in because they just don't, they're not really supposed to exist within the towers system.

Just as a clarification for terminology, for all intents and purposes regular basically just means anyone who is currently climbing the tower. A ranker is someone who has climbed the tower and reached the top. They refer to all of the climbers as regulars because, irregulars are so incredibly rare that a person climbing the tower being an irregular isn't even really considered a possibility. When they refer to a group of people as regulars, it doesn't imply that others are irregulars, it just differentiates them from rankers and residents of the outer tower who don't climb. As mentioned in the episode, the residents, unless chosen by Headon to become regulars and climb, often live their whole lives in the outer tower. Rankers and regulars refer to different groups of people in the tower whereas irregulars refer to basically only a handful of individuals in the whole tower.
I gotta say it’s really entertaining seeing anime only’s come up with their theories and react to amazing key plot points hope other manhwa readers don’t spoil what’s going to happen

my man, it is going to get much much much better. After reading chapter 76 I couldn't stop reading. It will take some more episodes to reach there but after that point, it is hands down the best anime of the year. An Irregular is someone from outside the tower. They’re not chosen by Headon but by the tower itself and also the rules of the tower don’t apply to them.

To answer the question at 8:05 regulars are considered anybody who hasn't become a ranker, or reached the top of the tower, so even though baam is an irregular, he is treated like a regular

In episode 1 baam was fighting the steel eel in shinsui that is regularly on floor 20 you seen in this episode how strong the shinsu is in floor 30. So baam has a really high shinsui resistance. Compared to most people.
The people chosen by headon are regulars and the people chosen by the tower are irregulars. Whenever the tower wants a change it choses a person who can bring change to the tower.

Headon did not choose for Bam to enter the tower. Bam did it by his will to follow after Rachel. Therefore Headon tested him on the first floor to see if he was worthy of climbing. Normally the first floor is to send up those who were chosen by Headon and I don’t think he tests them unless they are irregular.

Regulars are the one who born in the tower and live there as well. And Irregulars are the one who force themselves into the tower. That means irregulars are from the outside world.

Inside the tower there are three areas. Outer, inner, middle area. Outer area is where the regulars born and live their whole lives. Inner tower is where regulars take test to go up who are chosen by headon from outer area. And the middle area is where regularsn cant fight
+bam is not chosen by headon nor born in outer tower. Bam is from completely outside the tower and opened the towet by himself
Irregulars come from outside the tower and opened the gate to the tower on their own whereas the regulars are chosen by Headon to climb the tower they were born on the tower. All the characters here were chosen by Headon to climb the tower but not bam he was not chosen by Headon he « just » opened the gate to enter the tower and so we can say they he has broken the rules of the tower but it’s a little bit more complicated you’ll see later why.
