    KHOW SUEY
    Preparation time 10 minutes
    Cooking time 15-20 minutes
    Serving 2
    Ingredients
    For Curry
    2 tbsp Oil, तेल
    Prepared Paste, तैयार किया हुआ पेस्ट
    1 tsp Coriander powder, धनिया पाउडर
    ¼ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर
    ½ tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
    1 Carrot, diced,, गाजर
    ⅓ cup Baby Corn, sliced, बेबी कॉर्न
    2 medium Onion, chopped, प्याज
    3 cups Vegetable stock, वेजिटेबल स्टॉक
    Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
    1 tsp Sugar, चीनी
    1 cup Coconut milk, नारियल का दूध
    few Spring onion, chopped, प्याज पत्ता
    few Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता
    For Paste
    2 Green chillies, broken into half, हरी मिर्च
    4-5 Garlic cloves, लहसुन
    ½ inch Ginger, peeled, roughly chopped, अदरक
    Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
    For Garnish
    1 cup Noodles, Boiled, नूडल्स
    Spring onion white part, chopped, प्याज पत्ता
    Peanuts, crushed, मूंगफली
    Chilli flakes, चिल्ली फ्लेक्स
    Brown garlic, sliced, लहसुन
    Brown onions, प्याज
    Lemon wedge, नींबू की फलियां
    Chilli oil, चिल्ली आयल
    Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता
    Process
    For Paste
    In a mortar pestle, add green chilli, garlic cloves, ginger, salt to taste and make a smooth paste of it.
    For Curry
    Heat oil in a kadai, add prepared paste and saute for a minute.
    Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder, add little vegetable stock and saute it well.
    Add carrot, baby corn, onion and saute for a minute.
    Add vegetable stock mix well. Add salt to taste, sugar and stir well.
    Cover it with the lid and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
    Add coconut milk and mix it well. Allow it to boil for some time.
    Add spring onion, coriander leaves and stir well.
    For Garnishing
    Take a serving bowl, add boiled noodles, top it with green onions, peanuts, chilli flakes, brown garlic and onions, lime juice, chilli oil etc. and then top with coriander leaves.
    Your delicious Khao Suey is ready.

    My son is thrilled to pieces as it is one of his favourite dishes and now he wants to make it for his grandfather...
    I and khao swè go a long way... As a girl, it was one of those family luncheons were the entire family would gather around a table made of Burmese teak and food would be served in beautiful Burmese rice bowl in one of my grandmother's house who was from Burma...
    Though she was a Bengali she spent her
    maiden days there and had amazing stories to share...

    Oye bhai, aap ne toh Burmese noodles bana kar dil khush kar diya, I am from Myanmar. Aab waise toh hame pata nhi original cook book mein hai ya nhi, but yahain normally Veg Ohn No Khaut Swe mein soya chunks aur bean curd(tofu) dal te hai....meaty bites dene ke liye, aur deep fried split chickpeas cracker(Pae Kyaw) to serve with.....
    ..... lots of love from Myanmar. Ye recipes mein bhi kuch naya sikh ne ko mila. Thanks a lot.

    I tried dis... It came out delicious n everybody in my sasural loved it because of is different taste... I just add homemade madras cury masala with garlic paste becuz ranver said its incomplete widout 5 spices ..... Its an amazing recipe..... Waoooooooo

    Although the dish is delicious it took me 2 and half hours to make everything from scratch. It is only fast when you have stock and coconut milk ready in hand. Anyways everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing

    Hi there. I'm not a chef.. I can't cook even.. but just wanted to say that in all my life I have only watched videos of 2 chefs - first is Gordon Ramsay when I was much younger and now, Ranveer. Ranveer's on screen presence is just amazing and I find his explanations much easier to understand. Now I feel like I will start learning how to cook. Ranveer is amazing, so are his videos.

      Same.. My mum is from burma. Ther migrated. We make chicken and mutton khiw suey. Rander is famous for burmese inspured food. Surti muslim food is inpured by burma

    Love to watch your videos Ranveer sir ❤❤❤, I used to cook for need but watching your videos made me to fall in love with cooking. The history and the details about food u give inspire for cooking. I want to try this recipe but one question instead of vegetable stock is it ok to boil the vegetbles in plain water.

    Hello Ranveer Sir, Khaut Swe is actually serve with eggs and meat. Also not small essence of coconut taste but we actually cook with coconut only. It's also known as Ooh no Khaut Swe. Please try that as well once. I am watching this video from Germany after watching Master Chef Season 6 an episode where Nandini was making burmese khaut swe. Was keen to know whether you cooked somethings like Khaut Swe or not. Luckily I found this video. I am actually Burmese. I wanna know how you guys make Khaut Swe in India.

    Hamre yaha khaosa me main coconut soup hota hai usme lhsun ki chutny milate hai aur surving bowl me crisp papdi, fried onions, noodels, spring onion aur nimbu daal ke dete hai, bhaut mast taste hota hai.

    bhai hamaare madras yaani ke today's chennai mein ek market hai jiska naam Burma Bazaar hai kabhi aao toh check karlo. yahan aisi koyi foreign item nahi hai jo nahi milti for consumer use, you just name it . khair yeh bazaar bana aur basaaya gaya burma returned indians khaas kar ke tamil speaking log aur woh generation to generation chalta aa raha hai aur sunte hain ke wahan burma mein bhi kuch mini tamil nadu bane hue hain dekha toh nahin aur yahan ke south indian dishes ke restaurants bhi kaafi popular hain aur doosri indian community jo wahan popular hai woh hai bengalis. Khair this was just an additional information to add to your history of cuisines.

    The way you tell stories about food you make in every video I'm sure you have touched millions of hearts across the world and you can see all the love coming from them.
    Why not a family intro ( with parents, wife, and your son) in your video and we come to know how they actually enjoy your cooking in real life.. Hehe. jokes apart, really want to see your family on screen together. let them talk about you were as a kid, a husband and I'm sure a perfect father..
    Obviously this will be an off topic than your usual cooking videos but will be fun to watch it..

    We are eating it by my childhood with nonveg variant. It's too popular in Surat-Gujrat. we garnish it with spring onion, boiled eggs , Red chilli oil and a lot of crispy fries. Kheema samosa is also a best combination with it. Kal iftari mein yehi khata hu. But Ranveer you never make Khaout swe as much tasty as my Mom was cooking it, do you?
