My son is thrilled to pieces as it is one of his favourite dishes and now he wants to make it for his grandfather... I and khao swè go a long way... As a girl, it was one of those family luncheons were the entire family would gather around a table made of Burmese teak and food would be served in beautiful Burmese rice bowl in one of my grandmother's house who was from Burma... Though she was a Bengali she spent her maiden days there and had amazing stories to share...

Aab waise toh hame pata nhi original cook book mein hai ya nhi, but yahain normally Veg Ohn No Khaut Swe mein soya chunks aur bean curd(tofu) dal te hai....meaty bites dene ke liye, aur deep fried split chickpeas cracker(Pae Kyaw) to serve with..... ..... lots of love from Myanmar. Hi there. I'm not a chef.. I can't cook even.. but just wanted to say that in all my life I have only watched videos of 2 chefs - first is Gordon Ramsay when I was much younger and now, Ranveer. Ranveer's on screen presence is just amazing and I find his explanations much easier to understand. Now I feel like I will start learning how to cook. Ranveer is amazing, so are his videos.

I tried dis... It came out delicious n everybody in my sasural loved it because of is different taste... I just add homemade madras cury masala with garlic paste becuz ranver said its incomplete widout 5 spices ..... Its an amazing recipe..... Waoooooooo

You are the reason for my growing interest in cooking. BTW, Chittagong in Bangladesh has a tribal community who prepares a noodles (rice) soup, called Mundu, which is so similar. Chattagram or Chittagong, located next to Burma , undoubtedly had culinary and other exchanges.

Hello Ranveer Sir, Khaut Swe is actually serve with eggs and meat. Also not small essence of coconut taste but we actually cook with coconut only. It's also known as Ooh no Khaut Swe. Please try that as well once. I am watching this video from Germany after watching Master Chef Season 6 an episode where Nandini was making burmese khaut swe. Was keen to know whether you cooked somethings like Khaut Swe or not. Luckily I found this video. I am actually Burmese. I wanna know how you guys make Khaut Swe in India.
