nope they took away the things that stood out from others mmo.....having your character "chanting" plus animation was full of charms. Same thing with mesmer.
Thank you for this! I wanted a change from my Dragonhunter and wanted to try out Firebrand but my goodness there's a lot going on and was really intimidating.
Melee is very enjoyable and generally better for damage but it's always good to keep a ranged weapon on you somewhere as some boss fights can be quite difficult without one 😃

Well Guardian is really good for new players so if you follow my leveling guide for the Guardian, that should sort you out! 😃 Then when you hit level 80, I would recommend looking at the Dragonhunter elite spec ☺️
So how do you level up the firebrand or Dragonhunter? Do you just go through your master skills and you'll eventually be able to level up the elite class?
Once you reach level 80 and max out all of your core specializations, you will unlock the ability to put hero points in to the elite specialization trees. Once you max out that tree, you'll have all of the skills and traits associated with it 😊 bear in mind that you do need at least one of the expansions for this!
@@HeroicFlamingo so I have the expansions and I have maxed out my core skills and specializations, but once I reached lvl 80 I haven't been able to earn more hero points to spend on elite specializations. All I have been able to do is the Mastery Rank stuff.
Can you see the elite specialization trees in your menu? It should cost 250 hero points to max out each tree. Farm the hero points in the expansion maps as they give you 10 instead of 1 so you only need 25 to max your tree 😃

I had everything maxed out and was able to select a few skills for the Firebrand due to left over hero points, but I haven't been able to earn any more since. The game was saying that I had a Mastery Rank skill to unlock. So I started Heart of Thornes to be able to unlock it, but I still haven't beat the original game content main story yet, and still haven't been able to earn more hero points

It’s nice to know someone else doesn’t use a long range weapon...I find the sword works really well for quickness too

There are loads of hero points in the Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire maps so you'll have to farm them there 😊

Dragonhunter is better for an overall power build but Firebrand is just a lot more exciting 😂
