I love watching men who quilt. They didn’t know you can’t wear white shoes after Labor Day! They don’t know you can’t put pink and purple together, LOL. And your Quilter always just so perfectly beautiful. And thank you for your service because I sure love the Marines to

Before long you might have to add, "It's only paper." :-). I'm enjoying the New York Beauty series, and am looking forward to a Mariner's Compass series.

I have been to several classes of paper piecing and watched even more videos. In the end I developed “my own way”. Finally I see somebody else do it the same way, which I think is the best and the most time saving for paper piecing👌👏👏👏

Another great idea to use all my scraps on! I currently put 2.5" squares together as "enders" each time I stitch which I eventually sew into my scrappy blocks...but this will be a fun addition! Thanks for your clear and easy tutorials...as always!
****and I LOVE those blocks on your design wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With first piece you could use a dab of water salable school glue to hold it in place, instead of the pin. The paper will still peal off.

    Hi T Q Marine!
I've been watching your videos for a few months now, and find your explanations easier to understand than others for quilting. Maybe its cuz you are a guy, and military retired, as am I. Army reserve, but please don't hold that against me. Anyway, it seems that most of your how to quilt videos focus on putting together what I think of as the front of the quilt, all of the pattern pieces. Do you have videos on how to put in the batting and attach the back to the quilt? If you do, would you please point them out to me? Do you do fancy stitching quilting to hold the various layers together? I've look through your videos and those types of things have not jumped out at me, maybe I just didn't recognize them. Would you consider doing a series of videos explaining how you choose your batting, how you choose your piece of back side cloth, how you put the layers together, and how you do the quilting stitches that hold the various layers together?
Thanks in advance for any response that you can make to this request.
BTW I too have a channel on YT, but my focus is on weaving as you quilters need cloth, and I like to make cloth. Curmudgeon66.

One thing I don't understand... Why is it that you cut before AND after you sew the pieces to the paper? Wouldn't you be able to sew on the line, turn, and cut both pieces of fabric at 1/4 inch at one time?
