You amaze me, Janice, at your experience and ability to comparison shop between groceries for a large family. When working full-time, with a husband who traveled weekly and three children, I was often in survival mode, just able to do my best to make it to one grocery on Saturdays. It is wonderful to see how much of all are training your children to help and do chores, essential to provide them with life skills and a sense of becoming a vital part of the family unit. We did the same, and our children are so appreciative as adults, knowing they received the skills necessary to take care of their own homes and families. I live in Muskogee Ok. There is a 10 Box here, I haven't been there. But, since watching you I will be going. Since I usually shop monthly, Social Security. I missed out on the roasts last week, but will pick up steak and potatoes. I am 78 and a widow, I really miss red meat. Haven't had steak in 2 years and I love chuck roast. With fall and winter coming this will be a real treat. I will get a package of those steaks and make each one smaller repackage and freeze. If roasts go back on sale you can bet I will get some and cut them down to fit my little crock pot. I love you and your wonderful family. And I have sewed all my life. I also get stressed out going into Walmart. It is big, crowded and just a bit much. I'm so happy they remodeled and moved the pharmacy close to the entrance. The only reason I go in is to pick up prescriptions. Now, I can get in and get out. I get most of my groceries delivered because I live on the 3rd floor and cannot lift heavy items. It costs me a premium but it's worth it for me. I really enjoy your videos. Ty!

It is wonderful to have grocery stores. Jobs are good. My brothers started out mowing yards then they got into grocery stores by going house to house putting sales flyers on doors or fences. Of the three, one was a Store Manager for Krogers. My husband was Produce Manger for an owner of a Produce Stand. " Yankees would load up buying on their way home north." He worked as Produce Manager for three grocery chains before we moved to Tennessee for industrial factory employment. The pay was higher . Funny moment was finding he had an ancestor who had a Produce Business in August, Ga. Good healthy foods that God has blessed us all with are not consumed enough.

Janice, my mom used to do this same thing with bun’s only she would put butter, cinnamon and sugar on top of them and bake in the oven a bit to crisp. Us 7 kids would have them for breakfast. Yummy delicious! 💕🙏🙏
Every time I watch one of these videos it really makes me miss having my own home and freezer. I used to do things like this before I got sick and lost my home in 2016. I am very grateful to my aunt that I have a place to live, but as the saying goes… there’s no place like home. And I absolutely love watching your videos because it always reminds me of just how wonderful it is and what a blessing it is having a home of your own to take care of and a place for family to gather where you can invite as many as you want to. Janice, have you thought about buying jars of peanuts from Aldi and grinding them yourself? Laura Legge from TH-cam started incorporating that into her grocery hauls and not only is the price of peanuts cheaper at Aldi but it is ground fresh as needed. Takes about 8 mins. In food processor. Our meeker grocery store has sometime 7 mix or match potatoes were 5lb for 1.00 usually buy items that are that way it of course depends if you can use those 7 or at1.00 Love that type of sale.
Picante sauce is essentially watered down salsa. But if you don’t mind that it’s a bit cheaper than salsa. You shop like I do for our family of 11. We spend $1100/mo. I just found you and instantly subscribed 🥰
An awesome thing I do with instant mashed potatoes is cut up some of the boneless skinless chicken breast or pork chops lightly season.. and lightly dust with flour roll in egg and then in the instant potatoes (seasoned!!) it is the lightest crispiest yummiest chicken or pork nuggets.. i also sometimes just lightly fry them til golden and finish off in the oven. It's like shake and bake almost but with out all the weird extra sneaky ingredients.. I'll never turn back
Hi Janice I saw on a you tube video called 10 cheapest grocery stores. Walmart was listed in the list. They said that Walmart does a price match for competing groceries ads. Check with your Walmart to see if they do that in your area. That might help the next time one of your stores are out of something in their ad Walmart could match the price. They say the difference would be put into your Walmart account.
I always look forward to your grocery hauls -- they are so well organized and easy to follow, and never boring! I only have WM here, and get subsidized home delivery since I don't drive. Making a list once a month and put in the cart which helps keeping spending down. And I've been able to add a few items for an emergency pantry as well. Wish I had a Kroger nearby.....even though it's pricey store, the coupons and mark downs make a huge difference I see! Thanks again for sharing!

I’m glad it’s not just me with the new ad format. We live in Colorado so we call it King Soopers. I’ve had problems with them not keeping up on their marked prices and what rings up. The clerk said prices just change too quickly…really?? Very misleading. Plus Colorado passed something so WE HAVE to use reusable bags. They don’t have any plastic bags anymore…but you can use plastic bags for produce. Go figure. Love your channel.

Woo hoo! Great hauls and savings! Interesting to see the differences in the Kroger ads there vs here in Ohio! Also on the best customer special coupons if they say it’s for 5 items like 5 cereal, and I only get 2 that week, recheck in the coupon area, and mine will let me buy 3 more if the coupon is still in date. That’s very handy. Also I routinely get a coupon for a free item. Lately angel food cake but in past have gotten free yogurt or cheese or English muffins. Look under the filter by icon in the coupon areas and make sure you have the “best customer bonus” and “savings for you” categories checked. ❤ Another savings tip is that sales usually run in a 12 week cycle. So if you found say 2lb cheese at the lowest of low prices you’ve found on x date, count out 12 weeks and mark on a calendar. I did this for a good year to see what normally runs on a 12 week cycle. I also found that the week before and Labor Day week consistently has the lowest of low prices per year on laundry soap. I stock up on a whole year’s worth. With all your detailed papers that are dated you might be able to go back thru and see if certain low low prices hit on the 12 week cycle. ❤❤❤❤❤
I just left ALDI’s a few minutes ago.. their split chicken breast were $3.39 lb. I bought boneless skinless chicken breast for $2.39. Wish we had a tin box here. Those steaks look great!!
It’s interesting to see the difference in prices from state to state I pay &22.98 at Sam’s for the toilet paper but our 80/20 burger is $5.50lb at Walmart here in Michigan..
I worked for the Kroger company for 10 yrars. And they would give us a 30% coupon on all the Kroger products once a year. And I would always stock up. And I too would get giddy when I would see the savings. Most of the time it would bee over 300 hundred or more. I loved the challenge of trying to be the one that saved the most in the pharmacy witch is the department I worked in.
In my area in the mail coupons get sent out to different counties for a coupon for dozen eggs just as an example. I do not get those but my aunt does in one county and my mom would get them before she went digital.

I hear a lot on my Social Security Group I belong to about this versus people who pay in to Social Security. Having gone through becoming a widow last year and now on Widows Social Security I had a lot to learn. I am fine but wonder how he's is compared to Social Security? An awesome thing I do with instant mashed potatoes is cut up some of the boneless skinless chicken breast or pork chops lightly season.. and lightly dust with flour roll in egg and then in the instant potatoes (seasoned!!) it is the lightest crispiest yummiest chicken or pork nuggets.. i also sometimes just lightly fry them til golden and finish off in the oven. It's like shake and bake almost but with out all the weird extra sneaky ingredients.. I'll never turn back

Hi Janice I saw on a you tube video called 10 cheapest grocery stores. Walmart was listed in the list. They said that Walmart does a price match for competing groceries ads. Check with your Walmart to see if they do that in your area. That might help the next time one of your stores are out of something in their ad Walmart could match the price. They say the difference would be put into your Walmart account.
I live in Central Illinois Walmart quit doing the competitors match several years ago

I always look forward to your grocery hauls -- they are so well organized and easy to follow, and never boring! I only have WM here, and get subsidized home delivery since I don't drive. Making a list once a month and put in the cart which helps keeping spending down. And I've been able to add a few items for an emergency pantry as well. Wish I had a Kroger nearby.....even though it's pricey store, the coupons and mark downs make a huge difference I see! Thanks again for sharing!

I’m glad it’s not just me with the new ad format. We live in Colorado so we call it King Soopers. I’ve had problems with them not keeping up on their marked prices and what rings up. The clerk said prices just change too quickly…really?? Very misleading. Plus Colorado passed something so WE HAVE to use reusable bags. They don’t have any plastic bags anymore…but you can use plastic bags for produce. Go figure. Love your channel.

Woo hoo! Great hauls and savings! Interesting to see the differences in the Kroger ads there vs here in Ohio! Also on the best customer special coupons if they say it’s for 5 items like 5 cereal, and I only get 2 that week, recheck in the coupon area, and mine will let me buy 3 more if the coupon is still in date. That’s very handy. Also I routinely get a coupon for a free item. Lately angel food cake but in past have gotten free yogurt or cheese or English muffins. Look under the filter by icon in the coupon areas and make sure you have the “best customer bonus” and “savings for you” categories checked. ❤ Another savings tip is that sales usually run in a 12 week cycle. So if you found say 2lb cheese at the lowest of low prices you’ve found on x date, count out 12 weeks and mark on a calendar. I did this for a good year to see what normally runs on a 12 week cycle. I also found that the week before and Labor Day week consistently has the lowest of low prices per year on laundry soap. I stock up on a whole year’s worth. With all your detailed papers that are dated you might be able to go back thru and see if certain low low prices hit on the 12 week cycle. ❤❤❤❤❤

I just left ALDI’s a few minutes ago.. their split chicken breast were $3.39 lb. I bought boneless skinless chicken breast for $2.39. Wish we had a tin box here. Those steaks look great!!
It’s interesting to see the difference in prices from state to state I pay &22.98 at Sam’s for the toilet paper but our 80/20 burger is $5.50lb at Walmart here in Michigan..

I love the sams club Pom toilet paper. It has 45 rolls per box for about 27 dollars.
I worked for the Kroger company for 10 yrars. And they would give us a 30% coupon on all the Kroger products once a year. And I would always stock up. And I too would get giddy when I would see the savings. Most of the time it would bee over 300 hundred or more. I loved the challenge of trying to be the one that saved the most in the pharmacy witch is the department I worked in.

In my area in the mail coupons get sent out to different counties for a coupon for dozen eggs just as an example. I do not get those but my aunt does in one county and my mom would get them before she went digital.

You were talking about Shaun losing his job.. does he pay in to Social Security? I know most police pay in to a pension as well as teachers and the pay outs are very different from social security. I hear a lot on my Social Security Group I belong to about this versus people who pay in to Social Security. Having gone through becoming a widow last year and now on Widows Social Security I had a lot to learn. I am fine but wonder how he's is compared to Social Security?
