Back when an artist/pioneers of Rave played live. Now all the producers and DJ's do is use samples of their work to their own advantage. I can you hear N-Joi
every hair on my god dam body lit up when i hit the play button , why the fook we grow up so fast , this siht was the bomb back then, raw and in ur face , the candy was the best also , considering the siht u get now a days . ohhh sweet memories and long long nights of pure excitement and xtc , maby in another dimention and another time line i could still be doing this siht :)
Loved it in 91, still love it in 2023!! What a duo and was fortunate to see them in Scotland a few times. Actually got a smile from one of them when I bought him a beer. The guy in the pony tail, who hardly ever smiles! Forgot his name 😁
I was a SF dj at that time and I gotta say what a time it was. giant warehouses, glowsticks, black light jewelry booths, smart bars, flyers all over the floor, cold, sweat, banging systems, lasers, fractals on large screens, peace and energy. to rock the house and raise the roof as a dj was massive. strictly vinyl record and turntables, crates of vinyl, dj after dj, hands in the air and wooing loudly when the crowd went nuts. My signature track was emmanuel top-acid phase (from alaska on down).
I remember this official music video shown on a local weekly music video tv show in southern CA. Back 25-26 years ago during the early 1990's.It was when the "techno-rave" music party scene started in southern Caly.
The track is next level. However, note the build up from the break at 3:15. The track is built up so quickly from this point it is unbelievable! As a DJ , you don’t get this formula anymore which hypes up the crowd.
Amazing tune and as others have said, it’s still so good and powerful. Saw them do live PA in around 95 and they almost blew the roof off the club. So many solid tracks, awesome 🔥
When you consider that this stands somewhere in the middle between 1960 and today, I think we've progressed very little musically and culturally since.
Yes, without all the teasing that Chainsmokers, Guetta, Afrojack, Major Lazer, Capital Sound, Clean Bandit, Calvin Harris etc do these last 10 to 15 years. Start a beat and then stop it again. For them, they are enamored with the build and it usually builds to nowhere.
brilliant. my overridin memory of the eurodance parties was lying in the luggage conveyor belt whilst the prodigy were blowin the place away. went to loads of big parties all over the uk, but by 96 was into the prog house sound comin through. ma best mate was a resident dj in tunnel, so had many a good nyte in there too. fuckin magic memories mate
I have been looking for this song for 28 years and had nothing to go by except remembering the tune. I tried to hum it to people who liked techno and house but to no avail until now.....came on it by accident after listening to Anthem and it said this was their second hit so I played it on a whim......one dream fulfilled, climbing Mount Everest and visiting Taj Mahal next once Covid crisis is safe............
Kids stuck on their phones today. Me and boy used to go out Tuesday through Sunday only took Monday off. Had this music and or some female in our ear constantly.
JIm Hopkins remixxed the living "f*6K out of this record, mixed with EGMA - Let the bass kick.. .. could literally jump start the dead... if less than 3 hours gone..
fucken a the true rave scene, I was born 1990 so I didnt get to experience this shit. Saddens me because this is the shit I dreamt of going to while I was raving
The big raves sucked. If you got to hear the tunes in smaller clubs with excellent lightes, then experienced the after parties...THAT was where the fun was.
still listening loud and clear in 2021, what a wonderful melody, I really miss those days
Still fresh in 2024
*ACTUAL RAVE* music before the rave scene become a commercialized commodity. 💕💗
Yes, indeed.
Absolutely. It's making me gurn just listening to it.
hell yeah
I am 66 years old and love this!!!
Случайно это услышал в какой-то сборке на Ютубе. Превосходный саунд, ничуть не устарело, в 2023 слушается просто супер.
Да, в самом деле !
I bought this on vinyl in 1991, I was 21. Now I'm in my 50s and still blast it on the turntable!
Back when an artist/pioneers of Rave played live. Now all the producers and DJ's do is use samples of their work to their own advantage. I can you hear N-Joi
To me Njoi were in a class of their own Love them
1991 lives on!!

Well said amazing times
I can hear you ! As if it was just yesterday..... fck are we that old already ?
Loved it in 91, still love it in 2023!! What a duo and was fortunate to see them in Scotland a few times. Actually got a smile from one of them when I bought him a beer. The guy in the pony tail, who hardly ever smiles! Forgot his name 😁
I bought this cassette single with Malfunction as the B-side. Blew my fragile little 14 year old mind, lol. Still thumps.

More rave. It's making a comeback. Hell, I'm learning to make Breakbeat Hardcore for shits and giggles. It's fun, wild music.

The development of popular music was a late 1900’s phenomenon. Definitely a field for the trailblazers; and that trail got blazed to fuck
top top band, the dancer/singer is Saffron, this was my no1 band in the 90's and watched/followed them to many raves.
This is still amazing!
The album is a masterpiece
Music stood still in the 90’s and I can’t see anything like the house movement happening any time soon 👍🏼
one of the best techno songs of the 90s
See And Meet These Guys Back In The Early 90's, ThIs Song Back In The Day Would Blow Yer Mind When Seen Live.
Still one of the best songs of all time!

It was N-Joi's first number one single on Billboard's Dance Club Play Chart in 1991. BTW BET's Video Vibrations used the song as their theme song.
Fuckin' dance music! Really paved the way for raves!

First saw them at the eclipse in Coventry 91, that was coming to the end for me 1988-1992.
