Thank You! Having some trouble understanding your question though. If you are reassembling your device use adhesive strips not glue. If you are taking the device apart and you've come across a stubborn area, continue to heat the area until the adhesive is loosened enough. Hope this helps!
Sorry to say you will need to replace both the LCD (inner display) and touch screen (front glass). This is because the two parts come fused together, and are EXTREMELY difficult to separate. You will want to purchase a combination screen (LCD + touch screen). On another note you don't need to take out all the internal parts when replacing it.
Thank you very much for this repair guide, I managed to replace the screen without any major problems and I did manage to remove the old screen without shattering the glass. So, thank you again.
thanks guys, worked like a charm, only thing to be extra careful is the antenna cable, the connector breaks pretty easily, but nothing a bit of soldering and rewiring can't fix. It was a fun repair :)))))
Hello Chang , are you asking about the plastic door? If you are looking for a replacement on that . We do not carry that part. No worries though. If you can find the replacement part all you have to do is wedge the white part of the door as you can slowly push in to get it to stick it in.
Hey guys, heres the part for you Chang: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audio-Jack-Micro-SD-USB-Sim-Card-Slot-Port-Cover-For-Xperia-Z-C6603-LT36-Black-/221304863382?pt=UK_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3386cc3a96 by the way, how can I change only the usb socket cover clip? is that would be possible to make a video, how to put the whole thing together again...? :D How the sealing gonna go back for example to the back cover glass.. I saw, when you heated up and took the back off, there were a silicon, rubber sealing on the edges streching off... how is that gonna be fully funcional again(waterproof i mean)? cheers, ps: great vids keep it up! ;)
Mihály Tháler Thanks! Yes, you can certainly replace just the cover clip over the USB charging port. We usually use double sided adhesive to seal it back together. If sealed correctly it should retain most of its water proofing, although I would not suggest getting it wet.
Repairs Universe you're welcome, :) sorry, my english is not the best in this late time.. so as I got this.. heat it up and peel it off, as I saw, do I have to remove everything to replace only that? and after I use the adhesive to stuff it back to the place? how is that gonna stick together if I'm not heating it again together with the back cover? Is the glass's edge with 2 sided silicone sealing as the socket's, what I want to change? What if I'm using a thin layer glue to make it permanent and waterproof? :D (I'm defo. not gonna get an other part for it, its gonna die in my hands ..) the bigger ? is, how corrosive the glue is, is the steam of the chemical gonna harm the periperials? it was a mistake to use the usb at all.. cheers, and thank you for answering ;)
Mihály Tháler No you shouldn't have to remove everything. Some sort of silicon gasket might help make it more waterproof but we usually use double sided adhesive to reattach the glass. As, to the corrosion the glue might cause, what type of glue would you be referring too? A type of epoxy?
Harsha Vardan, Sounds like you may have a damaged or weak back light or there could be possible water damage. You stated you just bought the device. Was this new or was it a used device?
Hi RepairsUniverse, This was a really useful video! I was just wondering if you had a repair guide for the Sony Xperia SP - I haven't managed to find any on the internet so you'd probably be the first company to publish if you created one. I'd really appreciate it!
Be careful not to overheat the device. When heating up the back cover, either use a heat gun (on low heat) or a blow dryer (on medium heat), and hover over the device from about 2 inches away and heat for 30-45 seconds. It is very important not to overheat the device as this can cause damage to essential internal components.
Thank You Very Much. It works :D. Thnks to you i changed my totally broken screen by myself. It tooks me 2 hours with your video. It's not so difficult. I saved 200$ on the sony service. It was first time i was doing this kind of stuff.
Hi guys, this is a great guide for how to take the Z apart, but how exactly do you put a new screen in? I am having trouble finding any guides for doing this. Is it simply the reverse of taking it out? Also, what tools do I need to do this?
Repairs Universe Do you have video of applying the replacement screen back and video of putting the parts back? I am going to place an order soon. Thank you !
Thanks Joe, unfortunately we aren't familiar with a method of doing what you mentioned. Not sure how you would complete any repair without removing the back cover. Best of luck though, hope you find a way.
Hi there, I recently replaced my xperia z at a local store and the adhesive used is not strong that i could peel the screen out. after some time i pushed back the screen and realized that the phone could not power on. I went back to the store and the technician replied that the motherboard is spoiled and is expensive to get it replaced. What is wrong with the phone and what do you suggest that i buy to replace?
Hi Thank you for this great video. I got my Xperia Z with a broken screen for more than 2 month waiting for a video like this. Now my question is how do you glue back the screen and the bottom housing together with the frame and make it waterproof ? What kind of glue do I have to use ???
Yes the back glass is replaceable. Unfortunately we don't carry that part on our website. Perhaps search the internet for another company that has the part.
hi i have watched your video on how to replace the screen on a sony xperia z, it is very helpful so thanks but just a quick question could i just swap motherboards over as i have 2 sony xperia z's and if so could i do that without taking the battery out? thanks
It may be worth opening the device. If you use the heating instructions in the video you should be able to avoid overheating, then use adhesive strips to close it back up. As far as the water damage, try using 90% rubbing alcohol with a Q-tip and clean off the internal connections. This can often resolve water damage issues. Best of luck!
Yes the sim card tray socket holder is replaceable. We have this part available on our website (link in the above description). This video will help with the replacement.
Excellent hands on video, My problem is that the water seals didn't do what they were meant to, and now my ON button is constantly 'engaged', however clicking the volume up will do the same trick, to lock (screen off) it I am using a button app. Looking at the video I can see the buttons are quite far apart internally, so the issue must be moisture in the ribbon connector. No amount of heat drying has helped, so was thinking of opening it, but I worry about excess heat and replacement glue.
Amazing video I'm trying to replace my sim slot reader where the sim goes into but the prong connecter bent when removing the sim holder how will I be able to get to the sim slot and bend the connections up please respond
dan saunders That is not a repair a novice should do. I would recommend to send the device into our repair shop for service. You can find our address and repair form on our website at the bottom under Customer Support.
Thanks for the fast reply and detailed video's I understand that but when I reach getting the board out does the sim card slot just clip out or will it need to be soldered out or will I be able to just rebend the connections back up from looking inside the slot it only seems that two are bent.
dan saunders You can try to access the damaged prongs threw the holes once the board is out of the device. Use Plastic and be careful not to break them off. If they do break then it would become a micro soldering job. Good Luck on the repair!
FRIEND, GREAT VIDEO! I HAVE ONLY ONE QUESTION CAN YOU ANSWER would appreciate. COME BACK AS A SEAL? THAT "GLUE" TO BE USED FOR THAT IS WELL SEALED? COULD UPLOAD A VIDEO TO THIS? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
Hi, i have got an xperia Z and followed this video, really helps thanks. Having problem getting the right screen. is this the same as a xperia L36? thanks
Hopefully this comment gets top commented so that everyone can read this. Makesure you look carefully at what you're about to unclip as you pry this phone apart. The video does not mention everything that needs to be done. I am very capable when it comes to working with electronics, and this repair was very hard! The phone shown in the video has been taken apart more than once, which is why it looks so easy. In reality, you will have to apply force to the phone which takes it almost to breaking point. My repair job has now turned into a 'searching through ebay to find a new phone' job, after it wasn't explained that the lower microphone is hard adhered in, and should be pried out prior to lifting up the flex cable it is attached to. Not knowing this has resulted in my mic snapping off from the flex cable. I'm not blaming Repair universe for my mistake. though I was ridiculously careful, it is still my fault and responsibility. But I need people out there to know that this fix is no where near as easy as it portrayed so that they don't end up $130 out of pocket for no reason, without a phone, needing to buy another one. heed my warning!!!!!
***** Yeah man, my screen cracked from a drop of about 3 feet onto carpet, whilst it was in a padded wallet case. To be fair, other than that, the phone gave me no issues what so ever. I ended up getting the exact same model in a different color. Found it online for super cheap, and couldn't resist. Microsoft phones are great! although there are nowhere near as many supported apps, compared to android and ios
Hi.is there anyway to replace the flaps on the z without removing the back coz as you've mentioned there's no guarantee that it will still be waterproof. Thanks and more power to your site.
I would like to buy the replacement from your website, will you ship to Czech Republic? Is the Xperia Z display a genuine fullHD display, like the original one? Thank you for your response.
hi, may i know what is the function of sony xperia C6603 function and what is the causes it may be broken? secondly, is the usb cap is one of the phone main parts or it is only the accessories of the phone? your explanation is much appreciated. thanks!
Thanks for this, for someone who has no experience with phones, how difficult would you say this entire process is? I'm scared of doing further damage to my phone.
Repairs Universe Well, like the idiot i am, i manaaged to crack my screen again. Was able to replace it again using your video and felt it was only right to thank you again. Thanks you!
is the screen you're selling works on all model of xperia z? i have a c6606 model and if i look on other website the screen they are selling is just for c6602 and c6603.
Hi. I purchased a new touchscreen assembly and replaced the broken one following the instructions in your video. After re-assembly, the display works ok but the touchscreen is completely unresponsive. It does not work at all. I have checked all the connectors 3 or 4 times and it still does not work. What could be the problem?
Hello friend, I am from Malaysia. I would like to buy that back side glass spare for Xperia z. Mine was crack yesterday. Please let me know if there's a way to fix or which to buy the sparepart
Yes sorry to say even if you bought new housing, the device will likely not be waterproof. Once the original factory seal is compromised it can't be completely waterproof. As far as the housing, unfortunately we don't have that part in stock. I would continue to search elsewhere, or check back with us soon as we are constantly adding items to our inventory.
Hello, My screen cracked on the Xperia Z1, this according to forums is a common issue on these phones, is there a way to replace the glass as the touch screen still works although i cannot select anything individually as the glass is pressing on the sensors. regards
Great video A+++++ I need to replace my motherboard and my question is what type of glue do you used the sealed the back cover of the phone? Thanks again.....
would the phone be waterproof once again if the midframe is replaced? I dropped mine and the power button is damaged it has a dent and has shifted slightly I managed to get the button to work by using a pin to free it up but I am worried it may not last for long and is no longer waterproof because the strip by the volume rocker is slightly raised now
Hay i wonder if you could help me, iv just cracked my screen like hair line cracks, and the only thing I can't do is scroll down in notification box at top so like the very top of phone had stopped working, im thinking of repairing the screen my self but I'm not sure what parts in looking for tbh as iv eBay some and im gettin touch screen, touch pad bit for it, and then lcd screen, any idear what bit I'm looking for to replace as don't wana buy it and find out I need something else,
well bro, infact i did replace my LCD screen, i did it by your steps...i also bought the seal from ebay...now my mobile is in perfect condition, and still water resistant :)
whether it was possible to save water resistance after the installation of the rear wall back, or it needs to apply the adhesive (glue) on the back cover?
Cyroscop Once the seal has been broken the only thing you can do is reseal it with 2 sided adhesive. If you do this around the outside perimeter leaving no gaps. Once installed take a hair dryer and warm the tape. Put something with a little weight on it and wait for the tape to set. This is the closest you are going to get to a factory seal. Good Luck! .
Hi, I have the xperia z that also has suffered from a cracked screen, This video is very helpful but you advise to use adhesive strips !! Where would these strips go in the re-assemble ? I have noticed that the adhesive in this video is a black mastic type but is much thinner than 3mm as you have suggested.
Yes it is possible. However, it is extremely difficult, as you can see in the video. You would need to use extreme caution when wedging the pry tool under the screen, and go very slowly.
Hi, I followed this video through which helped (thanks) but the last bit (removing the broken screen was exceptionally difficult. I found I had also removed and cracked the back part of the screen (the transparent and, now, broken plastic/glass backing with a "silvery" finish) which was directly and apparently stuck to my broken screen. It was clearly attached to the silver backing left in the frame. What do I need to get to replace this whole bit? Thx
Thx though I don't think the bit I bought (ahead of dissassembly) did have that bit, seems to just be the transparent front screen. So, if I decide to get the part I need and reasssemble the phone is there a video for that? James
Unfortunately to replace a scratched screen both the Touch Screen Digitizer and the LCD screen need to be replaced. These parts come fused together and can be purchased as a combination screen on our website (link found in description above).
Hello. I have broken front glass on xperia z1, the screen is working normaly, but the touch is responsible only on the bottom of screen...what do i need to change? entire touch+lcd or only touch screen digitizer? Thanks.
After putting the device back together without the new screen but having just removed the cracked glass from the front, and i turn it on, the screen is white, as if it is a backlight. what is this? is this the screen or something separate? how will i know what to do next? i think i removed the digitizer leaving the screen in tact but cant be sure. Thanks
HI there, Thanks for the video. It was good. I need to replace my LCD/digitizer and I have an Xperia Z Model#C6616. Are the LCD/Digitizer compatible from different models of Xperia Z? Please let me know. Thanks.
if i only have to replace screen (glass and touchable), can i only do the last part the one of the front screen or i have to take out all the piezes?? Sorry for my english
Alejandro Sastre It is completely up to your discretion, we normally suggest removing the all the internal components to limit the possibility of anything being damaged.
Not very similar. One is a phone other is a tablet. Some of the same tools will be used and the same idea is the same. Thou you will need to not follow this guide for another device. they will not match up and it will be problems for you. We will try to get a xperia tablet z take apart up for you.
Jesse Norris Unfortunately I don't know of supplier who sells the gaskets. You can use 2 sided adhesive to secure the front and rear. I Have emailed my buyer to see if we can get them. Please check back on our site. If I can get them we will post on the site.
Hi guys, We need to replace just the rear glass on a Z... Is there any way to do that AND retain the waterproof feature please? Many thanks in advance!
I dropped my xperia z yesterday, now screen won't let me unlock it or anything at all. I need all my photos off the phone and manufacturer will just lose them all. Will a local person be more likely to do this method? And will all my files be on the phone still? I actually thought it wasn't possible to fix a screen that was broken to the point it is unresponsive?
hey mate early this year i bought the z5 anyway my cat have broken the left upper corner of the device, the screen got cracked ofcourse but was still working, after 1 week the display stop working, the funny thing is that just kind of 1 inch from the top (like the notification bar zone) doesnt work the rest of the display does work so i dont know what the damage is and what to do
hello i have a sony xperia C6603 i want to change my screen and volume , power flexible cable dose it have problem if i do not remove the motherboard ?
Hi, my xperia's touch screen functionality isn't working due to water damage. I have brought a new touchscreen. Is full dissemble required? And is there a video specifically for the touchscreen? Thanks
WhiteychanStarcraft This video is intended for an LCD/Touch screen assembly. Repairing just the front glass is very difficult and requires specialized machinery.
hi, after replacing whole module ( lcd + digitizer ), i've encountered an issue. Digitizer won't work properly for me anymore but lcd looks ok. i already double checked everything, any ideas ?
Hello, i have built everything apart to replace my broken touchdisplay. But i damaged the black film on the metal behind the touch element. Hope you understand my problem. Now i have two questions: Do i need to replace that film? Where can i order it cheaply? (I am from Austria, EU)
Repairs Universe My LCD was working just my touch wasnt working, from the cut above. Its a black film wich is on the "main" case where the buttons are installed. The film is maybe for ESD or isolation or sreening or shielding something like that i guess.
Hi Repairs Universe, I hope you can help me with my Xperia Z problem. It won't turn on anymore and I can't reboot it using the Power Button + Volume Up. When I plug it on a wall charger it turns on by itself but shutdowns while on the Sony Logo..
Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately we don't have a video for that device yet. But check back soon as we are constantly adding new videos!
إنه عندي الشاشه اتوقفت لماذع
Thank You! Having some trouble understanding your question though. If you are reassembling your device use adhesive strips not glue. If you are taking the device apart and you've come across a stubborn area, continue to heat the area until the adhesive is loosened enough. Hope this helps!

Hello Chang , are you asking about the plastic door? If you are looking for a replacement on that . We do not carry that part.
No worries though. If you can find the replacement part all you have to do is wedge the white part of the door as you can slowly push in to get it to stick it in.

Hi
Thank you for this great video. I got my Xperia Z with a broken screen for more than 2 month waiting for a video like this.
Now my question is how do you glue back the screen and the bottom housing together with the frame and make it waterproof ?
What kind of glue do I have to use ???
Thanks for your help!!
This means that I heat the tape in the video?
Yes the back glass is replaceable. Unfortunately we don't carry that part on our website. Perhaps search the internet for another company that has the part.
hi i have watched your video on how to replace the screen on a sony xperia z, it is very helpful so thanks but just a quick question could i just swap motherboards over as i have 2 sony xperia z's and if so could i do that without taking the battery out? thanks
Yes you can swap the motherboards. However, you will need to remove the battery first.
Repairs Universe okay thanks alot, what about the one screw in the bottom right?
joe green
Yes remove that screw then you can do a motherboard switch.
Repairs Universe Hi I'am looking to replace my xperia tablet z digitizer screen. I'am wondering how similar it is to this process in the above video

thanx buddy your video was help full ..... now i wanted to ask is , will the phone still be water proof ?? or it wont be water resistant anymore ??
Yes the sim card tray socket holder is replaceable. We have this part available on our website (link in the above description). This video will help with the replacement.
Good video very well documented and presented one of the best I have seen in a while
Excellent hands on video, My problem is that the water seals didn't do what they were meant to, and now my ON button is constantly 'engaged', however clicking the volume up will do the same trick, to lock (screen off) it I am using a button app. Looking at the video I can see the buttons are quite far apart internally, so the issue must be moisture in the ribbon connector.

Hi.is there anyway to replace the flaps on the z without removing the back coz as you've mentioned there's no guarantee that it will still be waterproof. Thanks and more power to your site.
Great video dude.
So as I see the glass and LCD screen are connected parts? It's impossible to change scratched front glass only?
Thanks for answer.
We would not recommend it at all as the screen is fused to the LCD.
I would like to buy the replacement from your website, will you ship to Czech Republic? Is the Xperia Z display a genuine fullHD display, like the original one? Thank you for your response.

Thanks for the video, is it possible to only replace LCD screen flex cable since only that cable has been damaged ?
+08regman Unfortunately no, the lcd would need to be replaced if the flex cable was damaged.
Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
Thanks for this, for someone who has no experience with phones, how difficult would you say this entire process is? I'm scared of doing further damage to my phone.
after disassembling is it necessary to have new adhesive and where can i buy it? or i can simply stick all of the details back on old adhesive?
We are hoping to do one soon, please check back in the near future as we are constantly adding new videos.
Awesome video. Thanks for uploading. Do you have similar guide video for Sony Xperia Z Ultra ? My screen is cracked. :/
Rajsegara Logason We are currently working on it!
Thank you. We will take a look so we can get a video up for you.
the adhesive strips you sell on your web site ... do you use that exact one to fix the phones ?
when taking apart, is the ear speaker loose? Or is it held down by self adhesive tape?
Cheers buddy, manged to successfully change my screen thanks to your vid. Very clear and well presented.
Nicholas Browne Great, glad to hear the repair went through successfully.
Repairs Universe Well, like the idiot i am, i manaaged to crack my screen again. Was able to replace it again using your video and felt it was only right to thank you again.
Thanks you!
Sorry to hear that. We do appreciate the support!
+Repairs Universe Guess who just had to use your video for a 3rd time. I'll be able to do it with my eyes closed 4th time round. Thanks again buddy
+Nicholas Browne and a 4th screen goes in. Didnt have my eyes closed tho
Yes we ship to the Czech Republic, and yes the replacement screen is exactly like the original, full HD display.
is the screen you're selling works on all model of xperia z? i have a c6606 model and if i look on other website the screen they are selling is just for c6602 and c6603.

As far as the housing, unfortunately we don't have that part in stock. I would continue to search elsewhere, or check back with us soon as we are constantly adding items to our inventory.
Is there a reassembly video? Or are we expected to do it on our own?
Do you guys have a video for putting a new screen on and putting everything back together?
glycerinemofo We are working on it. You can reassemble the device in reverse steps.
Repairs Universe how far have you gotten in that video? It would be very helpful
Hi, I'm looking to replace my Sony Xperia P LT22i digitizer screen. I'm wondering how similar it is to this process in the above video?
What if i buy a whole new housing kit, will it still be waterproof then? and do you know were to buy a whole new housing?
Hello, My screen cracked on the Xperia Z1, this according to forums is a common issue on these phones, is there a way to replace the glass as the touch screen still works although i cannot select anything individually as the glass is pressing on the sensors.
regards
Great video A+++++
I need to replace my motherboard and my question is what type of glue do you used the sealed the back cover of the phone? Thanks again.....
Hello, No glue. Use adhesive. www.repairsuniverse.com/3m-double-sided-adhesive-tape-2mm.html
No, this guide is for the Sony Xperia Z. However, if you visit RepairsUniverse (dot) com we have a repair guide for the Galaxy S4 as well.
would the phone be waterproof once again if the midframe is replaced? I dropped mine and the power button is damaged it has a dent and has shifted slightly I managed to get the button to work by using a pin to free it up but I am worried it may not last for long and is no longer waterproof because the strip by the volume rocker is slightly raised now
Hay i wonder if you could help me, iv just cracked my screen like hair line cracks, and the only thing I can't do is scroll down in notification box at top so like the very top of phone had stopped working, im thinking of repairing the screen my self but I'm not sure what parts in looking for tbh as iv eBay some and im gettin touch screen, touch pad bit for it, and then lcd screen, any idear what bit I'm looking for to replace as don't wana buy it and find out I need something else,
Yes, that is the "volume flex cable", which we have available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
can it still be stick back after you take out the back cover?
It is possible to take out the USB flap without having to open the back cover?
Awesome. Is this screen also known as L36H and is it compatible with all Z model regardless of colors?
Yes it will work with your model. Color makes no difference.
well bro, infact i did replace my LCD screen, i did it by your steps...i also bought the seal from ebay...now my mobile is in perfect condition, and still water resistant :)
So, the screen is very delicate? Is easy to break in normal use?
Is it possible to just buy the front glass from your site? my screen and touch still works but the front glass is broken
hi, im using the sony 6602 but my touchscreen was broken
can it be replace just the touch screen
or it have to be the whole screen??
How do you apply the adhesive on the back? Is it like a screen protector?
whether it was possible to save water resistance after the installation of the rear wall back, or it needs to apply the adhesive (glue) on the back cover?
The screen and glass are held in place with adhesive strips. The strips and other parts for the device can be found at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
Yes it is possible. However, it is extremely difficult, as you can see in the video. You would need to use extreme caution when wedging the pry tool under the screen, and go very slowly.
Hey, I was just wondering if it works the same way for lt25i edition?
Hi,
I followed this video through which helped (thanks) but the last bit (removing the broken screen was exceptionally difficult.
Thx
i believe the silver part you are describing is the lcd. Replacing the display assembly will include the glass and display.
Thx though I don't think the bit I bought (ahead of dissassembly) did have that bit, seems to just be the transparent front screen. So, if I decide to get the part I need and reasssemble the phone is there a video for that?
James
for that type of glue (name) used for mounting / gluing the back wall / cover? rubber-elastic and waterproof ?
Unfortunately to replace a scratched screen both the Touch Screen Digitizer and the LCD screen need to be replaced. These parts come fused together and can be purchased as a combination screen on our website (link found in description above).
can you make a reassembly video? Or are we expected to do it on our own?
+Jesse Sarvak You would want to reverse the process shown on the video for your reassembly.
Thumbs up for this video.... Just one quiz after removing back cover phone will still water proof or not if not any solution for this??? Thanksss
Lahiru Gunasekara Our technicians are researching to figure out a solution to this water proofing issue. Check back with us in the near future.
Yes you will need adhesive strips to reassemble the device. We have them available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
Hello. I have broken front glass on xperia z1, the screen is working normaly, but the touch is responsible only on the bottom of screen...what do i need to change? entire touch+lcd or only touch screen digitizer? Thanks.
Great question. All of our parts are genuine original parts from the official company. You should have no display issues.
Hey i love your guide, can u also make a video on how to replace the usb and earfon flap in xperia zr
Malik, Going to put it on my list for videos / guides Thank you for your input .

After putting the device back together without the new screen but having just removed the cracked glass from the front, and i turn it on, the screen is white, as if it is a backlight. what is this? is this the screen or something separate? how will i know what to do next? i think i removed the digitizer leaving the screen in tact but cant be sure. Thanks
HI there,
Thanks for the video. It was good. I need to replace my LCD/digitizer and I have an Xperia Z Model#C6616. Are the LCD/Digitizer compatible from different models of Xperia Z? Please let me know. Thanks.
Axe Milaya Is the carrier Bell? The LCD/Digitizer assembly we sell should be universal.
can we replace the outer glass for xperia Z just like any other Samsung galaxy phone, I have little crack on the digitizer only lcd is find
if i only have to replace screen (glass and touchable), can i only do the last part the one of the front screen or i have to take out all the piezes??
Sorry for my english
Alejandro Sastre It is completely up to your discretion, we normally suggest removing the all the internal components to limit the possibility of anything being damaged.
Hi I'am looking to replace my xperia tablet z digitizer screen. I'am wondering how similar it is to this process in the above video!
Not very similar. One is a phone other is a tablet. Some of the same tools will be used and the same idea is the same. Thou you will need to not follow this guide for another device. they will not match up and it will be problems for you.
We will try to get a xperia tablet z take apart up for you.
Thanks very much, it would be much appreciated.
Hi there does this work for the front screen
hi there where can i get the replacement gaskets for the front and back of the screen and back. thanks in advance
Jesse Norris Unfortunately I don't know of supplier who sells the gaskets. You can use 2 sided adhesive to secure the front and rear. I Have emailed my buyer to see if we can get them. Please check back on our site. If I can get them we will post on the site.
I have a Sony Xperia Z ultra C6802 and the inside looks different than the one you are showing. Do you have a video on the Z ultra C6802?
Ed Harned Our technicians are currently working on new repair guides. Please check back with us in the near future.
Hi guys,
We need to replace just the rear glass on a Z... Is there any way to do that AND retain the waterproof feature please?
Many thanks in advance!
Robin Williams Unfortunately, there is no way to fully retain the waterproof functionality.
I dropped my xperia z yesterday, now screen won't let me unlock it or anything at all. I need all my photos off the phone and manufacturer will just lose them all. Will a local person be more likely to do this method? And will all my files be on the phone still?
I actually thought it wasn't possible to fix a screen that was broken to the point it is unresponsive?
hey mate early this year i bought the z5 anyway my cat have broken the left upper corner of the device, the screen got cracked ofcourse but was still working, after 1 week the display stop working, the funny thing is that just kind of 1 inch from the top (like the notification bar zone) doesnt work the rest of the display does work so i dont know what the damage is and what to do
When the front lcd screen/digitizer is replaced in this way will all data, contacts, photos etc be lost or will they remain on the device?
Are you for real?
hello i have a sony xperia C6603 i want to change my screen and volume , power flexible cable dose it have problem if i do not remove the motherboard ?

Now i have two questions:
Do i need to replace that film?
Where can i order it cheaply? (I am from Austria, EU)
Patrick Hartmann If I am understanding you correctly, you must have broken your LCD. Is your device still projecting an image?
Repairs Universe My LCD was working just my touch wasnt working, from the cut above. Its a black film wich is on the "main" case where the buttons are installed. The film is maybe for ESD or isolation or sreening or shielding something like that i guess.
Hi is it possible to just replace the glass touch screen as the lcd is fine it's just the glass that is cracked and the touch is not working
Hi Repairs Universe, I hope you can help me with my Xperia Z problem.
It won't turn on anymore and I can't reboot it using the Power Button + Volume Up.
When I plug it on a wall charger it turns on by itself but shutdowns while on the Sony Logo..
Is it possible to have the digitizer replaced without completely destroying the glass?
