All of these new voice actors are definitely letting their own personal talent shine through while also remaining faithful and close to the original voices as well. It's clear that this new generation of voice actors greatly respect and admire their forebears and want to do their roles justice.
I just realized, Takaya is voiced by two Frieza voice actors. Derek Stephen Prince voiced Frieza in the Bang Zoom! dub of Dragon Ball Super while Daman Mills was Chris Ayres’ understudy and now currently his successor in voicing Frieza for Funimation dub.
Now she sounds like a stereotypical emo girl that is tired of her parents. “Better” isn’t the word I would use. The previous Chidori worked because it was a unique voice for a character with a unique design in the game. And the new Chidori can sound like a completely different person at times. I’m sorry but Reload Chidori isn’t the one.

I was kind of hoping Grant would get to reprise Jin. But WOW does Chris do an amazing job! Chris is such an amazing VA, and been one of my favourites ever since 3 Houses, I’m so glad he’s in the Persona franchise! :D And Tara being back as Elizabeth, it fits her character that she wouldn’t be replaced! I hope she plays Elizabeth more like she did in Arena and Q - a little more funny and ditzy, I know it goes against the themes of P3 but Elizabeth brings the lighthearted moments! If they kept Yuri as Ryoji that would be a nice touch! Yes I know it should be Aleks but it would be an interesting almost 4th break for the English fans.
Been a while since I experienced P3 and was like, “Wait, why does original Jin sound like he’d fight the world that inflicts suffering for entertainment?” AKA, had no idea so much of my favorite V3 VA’s were in Persona 3
Imo Derek Stephen Prince does a good villain voice, especially for Takaya. A complete difference from when I heard his dubs in Digimon 02 and Love Hina.
I'll be honest...I prefer Chidori's New VA. The old ENG VA sounded 10 years older than she should be Imo, and the JNP one sounds 10 years younger than she looks to me, (Ik Chidori's also 16, and her JNP VA sounds enough like a 16 year old, but both the old portrait art and old ENG VA in P3P always looked and sounded like...30 years old to me, which made the whole Junpei-Chidori arc feel REALLY weird to me in P3P despite the fact they were still the same age), so I think this new VA hits a good sweet spot. Not trying to insult the old ENG VA or the current JNP VA, just...I always personally felt they may have been a little miscast, is all

I've been a fan of Daman Mills after his recent performances in Genshin as Lyney and Star Rail as Blade. His range is amazing, and I'm so happy he'll feature as revolver jesus too

Grant George had 3 different Roles in the original P3 those being Jin, Shinji, and Officer Kurosawa. Also Liam O'Brien replaces Grant as Officer Kurosawa.
I think Jin is a lot better than his original and I'm the one that prefers the original cast. Chidori is pretty decent too. But man its weird they didn't replace tara as elizabeth but I ain't complaining. I can't imagine anyone else voicing elizabeth but her.

Chris as Jin is good. Daman as Takaya is not good. Derek’s Takaya is so much better in my honest opinion. His aura of pure distain and resentment just *hits* different then Usual evil of the day. Chidori is also a straight upgrade for me.
Both Jin's voices are great, thou i thin i rather the new VA. Chris has so much skill and feeling is incredible. Takaya, i think his old VA was better. I don't really feel as much of the new one. Chidori's new voice, there was so much example of the enw one, it wasn't bad, but i think i still rather Mona's Voice. Same for Ikutski, i liked the old voice.
Like I once said, part of me copes that, if they cast switch is permanent, they finally dub the movies using the old cast as a sort of last hurrah for them. But, I’d prefer they used Chidori’s new VA for said hypothetical dub.
The New VA's are so solid hsving there own twist and yet respecting the original cast and sounding so similar. Time to put another 120+ hours in another solid persona game.
Derek Stephen Prince as Takaya did an amazing job, but Damian Mills' portrayal of Takaya blew me away. He sounds different and yet recognizable, and he also knocked it out of the park for the new scenes with Makoto that he had no references for the original. 10/10, second best improvement behind Fuuka, who is just as talented in this game but didn't sound that good in the O.G., so IMO I'm giving the edge to her.
