You know... I think changing *all* the main cast instead of just recasting a few or redoing lines was probably the right call. I'm typically against these kinds of changes, but expanding content is difficult while still using old voice actors or trying to get them back. If even one person doesn't come back, the whole game feels wrong whenever they're present. Also the fact that they kept on the voice actors and didn't "replace" them so much as redistributed them through the game, while a little weird (because you'll hear their voice coming out of the wrong person's mouth), makes it much easier to accept for me because I don't feel like the old cast is being disrespected by being tossed aside for amateurs. I don't think all of the voices are great, Ken sounds a bit strange to me, but it's only because of how unique his original voice is so any changes are going to be odd. Yet I do think most of the voices are pretty good, at least from these clips alone. I could live with this. As opposed to Persona 4 Golden which royally fucked some lines and changed the tone of one or two characters too much (Chie mostly, but also Shadow Teddie... blech), I think there's so much going on here that I won't fixate on the flaws as much when/if I decide to play this. Yeah... I can definitely live with this. Smart call.

I thought the new cast did a really good job! But I still have some bias towards Michelle Ruff’s Yukari and Liam O’Brien’s Akihiko. (Yuri Lowenthal too but Aleks Le’s performance is great!) Especially Liam’s Akihiko. His romance route in Portable made me swoon as a young teen over a decade ago. I even prefer it over the JP VA, and this is coming from someone who usually prefers sub.

Where Is PRICE?

In Metaphor ReFantazio which released in October of this year and is also made by Atlus (including staff and creators of Persona 3, 4, 5, etc), there's a character named Eupha who is heavily based on Fuuka and is arguably her fantasy counterpart. Eupha has a brother named Edeni (who is shown off and plays a role in Metaphor), who could possibly or arguably be the fantasy counterpart of Fuuka's actual brother, who as far as I'm aware, has yet to be fully or properly shown off, if he does truly exist.

We need a persona game that stars fall on old people like 70 years old and shit

I really like these ideas, especially with forest and having fairytale characters as Personas. In fact, the forest part ties into fairytales, as many of the original ones were based in the Black Forest in Germany. And each time we get a new persona game the personas themselves reflect the tone. Persona 3 are gods and mythical figures, in a way representing the characters trying to deal with death, since many of their personas are immortals. Persona 4 are Japanese legends/historical figures representing the casts' wish to be great/better people. And for Persona 5 are so-called rebels from literature and history, or at the very least those that went social norms and also outcasts of their time period. Here, the personas here being fairytale characters represent how the cast want to escape from their problems and live, basically a fairytale life. Like when you get lost in a story and will sometimes forget your problems and also will imagine yourself in the story protagonist's shoes. At least that's my interpretation of the, I could be wrong. Speaking of, what's your own interpretation of all this? I loved to hear it.

Just finished this gem and the dlc and man all the voice actors did well in my book enjoyed the game and I really love this persona game since it was my first one.

It seemed like a cool idea until you completely destroyed your theme by making the physically disabled character walk in the other world. Either keep the wheelchair or something like giving them a mermaid tail and having them float with water or in a bubble in the other world. It's actually quite offensive to "fix" a disability. It also go against your core theme as they wouldn't be living with their condition.
