i have similair issues. i used Black Jack as a monetary income for a while. started at 18. go in with $5 and come out with $20 then did that everyday and on fridays i would go on the tables and get around $400. the fact the casino i go too is small the buy ins were 5-100 and when you have no income its hard to get started on a table. since what ever i win from the machine goes to the tables. and its a hit or miss half the time. but if i get $20 started i would be able to maintain around 100 a day. but i upgraded when i had a job. i received 21k from a lawsuit then drop it all in a week of gambling. (Black Jack and texas hold'em). i came out at 60k. Then did about a 1k a week buy ins. i would average around something like a posative 10k in a month. then i get ban from that casino since its small and they said "We enjoy having you here but you cant play on our tables anymore and that includes our tournaments" since in texas hold'ems i would go hard. allot of small time gramps would play safe, i knew how they operate so i go hard. i would win around 13 tournaments out of 15 that year before getting ban.

What everyone has to remember is that casino's are business's wanting to make profit. The odds are always better for the house as they engineered the games to be that way. But when someone starts making too much, they will ban you.

Counting cards isn't illegal by law in any Las Vegas casino, it's just that the casinos frown upon it and if you get caught the only thing they can do if you get caught is to let you cash in your chips and ban you from said casino if they so wish.

i have similair issues. i used Black Jack as a monetary income for a while. started at 18. go in with $5 and come out with $20 then did that everyday and on fridays i would go on the tables and get around $400. the fact the casino i go too is small the buy ins were 5-100 and when you have no income its hard to get started on a table. since what ever i win from the machine goes to the tables. and its a hit or miss half the time. but if i get $20 started i would be able to maintain around 100 a day. but i upgraded when i had a job. i received 21k from a lawsuit then drop it all in a week of gambling. (Black Jack and texas hold'em). i came out at 60k. Then did about a 1k a week buy ins. i would average around something like a posative 10k in a month. then i get ban from that casino since its small and they said "We enjoy having you here but you cant play on our tables anymore and that includes our tournaments" since in texas hold'ems i would go hard. allot of small time gramps would play safe, i knew how they operate so i go hard. i would win around 13 tournaments out of 15 that year before getting ban.

it is a bit stressful doing a transaction that large with a customer, you have to count the chips, get your count verified by a supervisor, you need to alert surveillance, receive shift manager approval, and you need to get the customer's info (ID, SSN, street address.) And if for some reason your count was off, you could lose your job. That being said, $500 is still a very generous tip.
