Being an umpire might me the only job that you can be bad at and still still have the power to send people home from their jobs. If you miss a pitch and someone says something, you shouldn’t be allowed to eject them.
This isn’t even the mlb and not even about baseball it’s to where it’s more about the umpires than it is the players. They might as well call it the major umpires league. Cause I feel like umpires don’t care about baseball and how they do their job. As long as they’re getting payed for umping it’s all good to them.

Literally all of these, except for the first one, are for arguing balls and strikes which is in the rulebook as grounds for ejection. Some of these ejections are definitely weak. Good umpires definitely give a little leeway to players, give them a warning first, and don't antagonize upset players. But literally all of them except the first one have a reason that's printed in the rulebook - you can't argue balls and strikes.

They should be watching old videos of Earl Weaver, Billy Martin, Tommy LaSorda and others who argued with umps of the day to toughen them up. Also during ump school they should face a teacher who acts as an army drill sergeant. Pretty soon a glare at them will be enough to get tossed . Oh - it already is.

Realmuto showed up the umpire. Did he mean to do that? Was that his intent? In the moment, who knows? And who cares? His track record of never having been ejected in pro ball means nothing. This is not a court of law where the judge can review your record well after the fact and read it aloud to the jury before judgement and sentencing. Words and actions matter. He showed up the umpire and this is a good ejection all day long. It's never an umpire ejecting someone really. It's the umpire seeing actions or hearing words and responding as they have been trained. If you don't want to be ejected? Don't hold your glove out and take it away when the umpire is handing you a baseball. If you don't like this ejection, don't blame the umpire...blame MLB leadership for directing their umpires in this way. They are simply following orders. It's too bad the Phillies don't worry as much about their performance and winning percentage as their fans do. Currently, 12 games back of ATL...
Honestly when umpires start acting like this the pitcher should throw a good hard fastball right at his mask and the catcher should duck out of the way and just let it hit him. If the MLB isn't going to do anything about it then the players might as well do it
