All of my wheelies have been accidental and uneventful. Once I was turning left off a road and a car abruptly crested the hill. I added throttle and the front came up in the middle of my turn. Not a problem at all. The bike kept turning and it was still leaned.. perfect landing too!
I learned to wheelie on a 400EX way back in the day. I had to grind the sissy bar a few times to find balance point. Now that I have a street bike that cost three times as much, it's a little harder to find balance point now that there is nothing to catch me if I tip it a little too far. So I am learning all over again, and it's weird, I know I can do it, and I know what balance point feels like, but I really don't want to watch my bike slide down the asphalt.
I know this was 9 months ago but I’m currently wanting to learn how to wheelie but I’m more of a visual and hands on learner I think I’m gonna buy the bumpers to protect the bike in case u drop it so the rubber bumpers protect the bike from hitting the ground to much and takes the brunt of it
Love everything in the video, ur reaction in the tunnel, ur exhaust sound, the way u explain .. it looks like ur a awesome guy wish u could be my neighbour. Hands down to u .. ride safe n thanks for the vid 👊👊🙏🤙👊👊
I recently started to wheelie on my cbr300, its a lot of fun and puts a huge smile on my face, however I just got a new '24 636 three weeks ago, I ordered full Impaktech crash cages & sub but have been getting urges to start wheelies on my new bike before they come in the mail. I am glad you touched base on this topic @ Time Stamp 4:20 because when I try to wheelie on my new bike, it just feels like I am going over a speed bump, like a jerk or jolt when riding. it's intimidating to me because I am on a new powerful bike and I don't want to damage it.
Just picked up my first ZX-6R, 2018 model back on Memorial Day weekend. I love it!! Where do you get your seat from. I am also learning to wheelie as well, without anyone know. Lol. One day I’ll just bust out in front of everyone with a nice long wheelie. Thanks for the info in the video!!
I've never wheelied and I really want to learn but I have a 2006 ZX10R.. Should I start learning in 2nd on third gear? And how much throttle, approximately, do you reckon I should give it and at what speed?
What are your though's on learning to wheelie....for want of a better term....Backward's. Start out clutch up third, then go down to clutch up second...because fuck all was happening in third, but you got a good feel for the bike. Then try power up's in first. Thank me later.
If that helps ease into it then go for it! Starting in a lower gear can be a tad scary because of the power. Just don’t get too frustrated if it doesn’t come up easily in 3rd
Only question left if i should invite the boys to learn wheelies togheter... (was a great journey on bicycles as well), or just learn it in silence and bust out a 200meter wheelie out of nowhere 😂 But to be quite honest, the journey of learning it togheter was a great memory, always going out in the evening or after school, and seeing the process
I tried to pop my wheel up on my new r6 tonight cause I’ve been able to do baby wheelies on my ninja 650, anddddd I got way too much rpms and looped my bike, broke my subframe near the backseat, gonna try to weld it tomorrow, also broke my sator case, gonna swap the case out tomorrow, sad sad day but my gear made me not feel a thing and also ngl 10/10 would do again w a cage or frame sliders, WHAT A RUSH, even crashing 😳😭😂
@ I just did it in second gear going about 35-40mph, popped it up and rode it out nice and high! When it starts to go down a bit then you give it a little more throttle and it raises as you rode it out! What a feeling.
Doing a power wheelie like this.....means your braking zone is huge. Lots will be so focussed on holding the wheelie that they forget ablut stopping.....and barriers/walls hurt.
Handlebar position and riding position on a dirt bike is way way better. Throttle response on a street bike especially a supersport is like 80% less throttle for the power. You should learn on dirt if you can. Just keep trying to do small clutch ups. Start by just getting that wheel up and down. Then keep doing that. You'll naturally get higher
My 2020 zx6r is lowered and has abs will that make it much harder to wheelie? Because I took a whole day to focus on my throttle and just couldn’t get the wheel higher than a foot for longer than 2 seconds
Hey all, I know this may sound crazy but I can’t seem to clutch up wheelie on my bike at all, I know it has more than enough power (2022 GSX-R 1000R) front end won’t even come off the ground
Mad tutorial bro. Quick question, do we have to keep the foot on the read breake pedder during the wheelie to adjust the height of the bike? Or doesnt really matter!!
I have a Hornet 600 and I cannot get it up, it jumps up and rides out but I cannot keep it up even on full throttle in 2nd gear, I feel like the gearing on the bike is just too long and without changing the sprockets it will be difficult. 1st gear it can power wheelie no problem. Am I doing something wrong?
Like the other guy said give way more throttle, and bounce the suspension with your legs will also help it come up , if u can’t keep it up even full throttle it means u didn’t bring it up high enough from the initial clutch up.
Can i hold the rev and drop the clutch ? Or does it need to be a jerking qith the throttle i was sitting the bike at a certain rev and dropping the clutch is that ok ?
Ideally it’s one quick motion, if you’re holding the clutch in and trying to be super precise with the rpm’s you can lose the momentum you need for the wheel to come up
You got it! 3rd gear is rough, it helps if you roll into it. I’d accelerate a little right before popping the clutch and it’ll give you a little more forward momentum to get the wheel up!
My first wheelie I learnt my bike can do back flips 😂
This gets a pin😂
dont forget the mooost important part he didnt mention dont forget to use your REAR brake
Ikr😭
How do you not mention the most important part ?! Lol
Brings up the rear brake in the first two mins bro
I literally watched your video and went out and pulled my first wheelie 🤞🏾 I've been struggling until I came across this vid ! Thanks
@@bassoholicsfishing3016 LETS GOOOO!!!

Best wheelie video I've seen so far..and i have seen quite a few.
Except for the fact that he left out the most important part of doing wheelies……..ALWAYS cover your rear brake.
Amen to that 😎👌

How'd you put the cage on?

Thanks for sharing. You’re doing the lord’s work. And this counts as community service in my book lol.
best wheelie video ive seen to date, thank you Sir.

That first wheelie was SICK lol
this really helped thanks, particularly my sticking point at 5 mins

Good job on the vid, really helpful! Love the bike really clean!

Sorry to hear that😢 glad you had your gear on! Hope she gets fixed soon💪
Yall boys was moving 😳👍🇵🇷
Are you dropping the clutch? Looks like you just let it go, hard to tell in the video. Best tutorial I’ve seen yet.
Yeah I just pop it in and out real quick
@ I just did it in second gear going about 35-40mph, popped it up and rode it out nice and high! When it starts to go down a bit then you give it a little more throttle and it raises as you rode it out! What a feeling.
Great video can’t wait to get my bike
That small dip when it gets all the way up is scary lol, especially when you hit it the first time
I got to slow down so I can hold mine out longer but I’m getting comfortable with the height now I just want distance
killing it!🐐
Doing a power wheelie like this.....means your braking zone is huge. Lots will be so focussed on holding the wheelie that they forget ablut stopping.....and barriers/walls hurt.
Actually a good point to bring this up! Ensure your runway is large enough 😂
@@RyanCrew Stoppies get perfected If you don't!!! :)
at what speed do you wheelie in 3rd?
Maybe around 50-55mph
so the motion is basically just the same as when u rev match but u just dont click down a gear?
Honestly yeah pretty much, just stay on the throttle when you let the clutch out!
@@RyanCrew bet, ive been riding like a year and a half im pretty much super comfortable with the controls now, i just gotta send it now 🤣scared
For some reason, I can wheelie my dirt bike just fine, but I can't really on my sport bike
Dirtbikes are way lighter that could be one reason
No you cant
Handlebar position and riding position on a dirt bike is way way better. Throttle response on a street bike especially a supersport is like 80% less throttle for the power. no abs is irrelevant on wheelies
lowered is harder to wheelie
That explorer in the start wasn’t caring bout your life
Definitely not lmao
I expect to be perfect after the first try after waiting this
I hope so!🙌
I have to give full gas? In the example on 3:55 you gave full gas
Yes you want the rpm’s to shoot up pretty quick so you don’t lose forward momentum to get the wheel to pop up
Hey all, I know this may sound crazy but I can’t seem to clutch up wheelie on my bike at all, I know it has more than enough power (2022 GSX-R 1000R) front end won’t even come off the ground
Same on a 14 gsxr 1000 but I'm sure it's lack of skill on my part of not enough gas and to slow on the clutch
Turn off traction control
you wild for doing this in Valencia lol!

Hey, where did you get those headlights for zx6r? Any chance you share the sauce? The bike looks spicy good my man.
Heyooo! They’re from bkmoto👌
Mad tutorial bro. Quick question, do we have to keep the foot on the read breake pedder during the wheelie to adjust the height of the bike? Or doesnt really matter!!
Yes use rear brake to control, more brake brings the front wheel down, no rear brake and steady throttle equals bike sliding down the asphalt.
Naw just gotta rev it more when you clutch up

hey!
cruising 6k rpm is ok, do you add more throttle during clutch up? your wrist is so quick i cant see
Yes I’m pulling the throttle to rev the bike up during the clutch pop

Can't get the Wheel into the Air at 3rd Gear on my Yamaha R6 from 2001... Am i too dumb? :D
You got it! 3rd gear is rough, it helps if you roll into it. I’d accelerate a little right before popping the clutch and it’ll give you a little more forward momentum to get the wheel up!
What mic are you using and where is it located ??
Purple panda! It’s tucked behind the right side cheek pad
where did you get those headlights???
Bkmoto
Should I adjust the tire pressure?
It would make it easier if you did. Lower tire pressure=more surface area to balance on. Probably will wear your tires faster though
Thanks for the advice@@RyanCrew
How do you come down smoothly?
Give it some gas on the way down before the wheel touches!
What mirror is that?

Nothing about body position, nothing for this compression with the hands, he makes. It is very important
Body position was the first thing I went over
nice tutorial, but bro you need new gloves😅

I'm stunting out my zx10r since all the morons on FB want full price for bikes with no title :)
