A few pointers: • "Mark pokémon to not delete" could be expanded in next video to "how to use tags effectively" because the power of negating a tag name (or even tag prefix if you group similar tags with one) is incredible to exclude important pokémon from being deleted. • Pokémon left for trades: distance, mirrors, etc. • How to combine all the aforementioned stuff (in your vid and here) with keeping actual collections in your bag. • How to set up keyboard autocomplete on both iOS and Android to actually be able to use more than 12 saved searches
So glad you posted about this. With GoFest coming up, I’ve been clearing out storage. If anyone out there plans to be playing the full eight hours on one or both days, you’re going to want room to catch at least 1000 mon in a single day without having to stop and transfer.
I have a similar strategy to this, where I tag all Pokémon that I’m keeping according to their use, then make a search thread showing all Pokémon without those tags. It takes a little while to start it, but it’s so easy to get rid of unneeded Pokémon once it’s in place.
It’s also important to me to save all Pokémon that I want to trade an get XL candy for during seasons like this season. I did regret transferring some of my legendaries before when I could be trading them for guaranteed XLs right now. I save all snorlaxs, stunfisks, and excadrills as well; I’m working on maxing them out currently. I saved most of my axew too, making sure I trade all of them as well.
I really like theese type of videos, but what I’m missing most is a complete guide for shadows: I mean, which are the best to keeps looking at different ivs, for example a shadow tyranitar 15-14-4 could be good to keep since it has high attack and defense for raids, but also a shadow sneasel 13-13-14 could be kept not purified even though it has not 15 attack. But I miss this for other pokemon like electabuzz or swinub and so on. Sorry for the long comment, I hope I was clear since my English is not well trained

I have 5,450 Pokemon storage... Played a ton 2019-2021, and getting into optimizing for PVP, having to lookup the metas, then scan them for optimal IVs... So, instead I'd sit on them and let them take up massive storage space... Is what caused me to mostly quit for ~2 years or so. Just got back into it and I'm so overwhelmed trying to delete more than half my mons, but tags, saveable search strings, and your tips here help so much so thank you. Hopefully this is kind-of a one-time thing, then I'll try to stay on top of it better.
you can restrict cp by adding it in the end. ie: 379, 618, 560, 308, 279, 164, 709, 260&League CP. Great League (&CP-1500) Ultra League (&CP-2500). If you want to restrict Master League to Pokemon with CP over 2500 (&CP2500-). When searching cp, age or anything like that, putting the minus sign before means below and the minus sign after means above. For the mega and primal relevent pokemon and exclude shadow pokemon, include (&!shadow) at the end of the thread.
You should add the &!# (and not #) to your search string to filter out all the pokemon that have _any_ tag on them. That way any pokemon that has already been sorted into a tag won't show up.
Your videos on Pokemon storage management are always so helpful and timely! I'm always sitting around my max storage limit so I welcome any tips to easily to keep everything organized!

If you’re like me you’ve already favorited a bunch of stuff that isn’t included in these search strings. What I’ve done is searched with the strings, select all, make tag META and tag all selected with it. Then I do a search that has the !meta to remove all the metas, then I unfavorite everything listed.
In order to filter out 1500+ for great league type &!cp1501- At the end and it will only show 1500 and below. For ultra league type &!2501- For 2500 and below.
Worked for me, ur Goated! Also make sure for the M.L. it's 374-376 not 377-379. 377-379 is the regi's not the metagross family, hope this help you as well!

Those are basically the legendaries + T-Tar line, oh and Blissey (teehee) from Johto. What is this supposed to filter for grass??
I'm a total hoarder with pokemon. I have to go through every month and force myself to let some go even though I have a quick search that I use to clear out daily.
You could add to those formulas the CP limits on the League's and you could also filter out the Shadows on the mega list. If someone hasn't told you them yet comment back and I can post them for you but they are pretty readily available. I manage my own Excel document that tracks everything in the game and I've been doing that for seven years now so the filters are incredibly helpful for me. If you have questions, let me know.

You can add cp10-1500 or cp10-2500 to the search to filter out non Great or Ultra League cps. I found it out when a research required beating a 3* raid with Ultra League pokemon
To search on cp ranges for pvp, you can use "cp-1500" for great league; "cp-2500" for ultra league, and "cp-500" for little cup. On the megas, can't you just add !shadow to eliminate shadow pokemon? There might be some shadow that you can purify for the mega but needing to purify a good IV shadow for the mega should be rare. Thanks for the vid. Looking forward to trying it. As always, PvP is always the hang up, since the meta DOES change so i hate xferring Pokemon with good PvP IVs.
I'd like to just search for everything thats not in that threat to, you know, clear my storage efficiently. There is nothing like this in the thread I'm trying to create that tag on my own but it's getting Pretty long since a lot is double and I cant filter out since it's not sorted by number. Also the shadow pokemon seem to be missing for Ultra and master League (in the search tag). This is still a great thing to have but it'll take some work before I'm going to use it
The grass search thread searches 242-254 when it should be 252-254 (it shows pokemon like tyranitar) Other than that the meta attackers threads all work perfectly
I'd be interested in a search thread that was all the dex fillers. Pokemon not relevant for PVP or any of the leagues. This would be a nice string for finding all the ones that I just want to keep for a living dex, but may have accidentally kept more than needed.
I prefer to keep the Pokémon that I consider strong, at my current level, and ones that have an evolution that I need to get. In case you’re wondering, that level is 30 (almost to 31) and the CP minimum is 1500
You could also put every raid type search in one search, and put a + in front of every number to show the whole evolution chain. To show pokemon less than CP500/1500/2500 you just type &cp-1500 or whatever max cp you're looking for.
Video idea maybe? Go through a viewers account (maybe with them just so something they want doesn’t get deleted) and clean house. They can flex some and show off some blunders. I have a couple i kept and labeled “myshame#1” and “myshame#2”

Typing in the search string for bugs does not bring up my Pheromosa. I don't know if any others are left out from these strings, but I noticed this specific one for me.
Think this is a google docs issue, but check when you paste it that you remove any spaces from new lines, as it removes some results (for example 560 shows as 56 0 for me and hid a result)

you can search for !# and this filters out every tagged mon (! means exclude and # means tagged mon), bit easier than making a search thread.

You can filter cp by adding the cp range as, for instance, cp1400-1500 or cp0-1500 if you're looking for something useful to power up.
You can also write Cp-1500 for up to 1500 and cp1500- for everything 1500 and up

I think it's a typo, it's supposed to be 252-254, not 242-254, since 252-254 is Treecko -> Sceptile

Limit to under 1500 CP with: cp-1500
I created a Transfer tag for all the Pokémons I will transfer on 2x candy transfer hour ands then batch transfer
You can do 0-1500 for GL and 1500-2500 for UL and 0-7000 for ML

the 7day search doesn't work for me, it shows Pokémon from even from 2018, I don't know if my game language has something to do (it's spanish)
&CP-1500 will show you only Pokemon at or under 1500 CP
I like to add a tag pvp to the pokemons used in PVP, so in the transfer string i can use "!pvp". Tag names are supported in the search
