@@mesupt I wasn't experienced when they gave us the choice but since I had Dialga and he was one of my best at the time I took him and got Roar. If you can SERIOUSLY pause the tickers that's the right choice for how I play. SR looks kind of lame depending on how much expansion but Palkia is definitely the better Pokémon.
Great advice! Only thing I would add is I find it’s worth keeping 10 or so nanab berries for tasks like 5 great throws in a row, even if you’re good at hitting great throws, as it stops the Pokémon attacking just before the ball hits it, which will lose your streak even if you do a perfect throw!

Underrated comment that should be an overrated comment because of the glitch in the matrix.
You could always hold the pokeball to make the circle good for a great throw, wait for the pokemon to attack and throw the ball while it's in the animation. That's what I usually do for those
use the rare candy on palkia or dialga for the effect that they give
DO NOT delete your bananas/berries. Instead feed them to Pokémon in a gym so you get stardust in return for each one fed. It’s like recycling ♻️
Also u can feed them to multiple buddies, if you’re increasing relationship with multiple buddies at once. Remember u can switch ur buddy 20 times a day, buddys gain hearts from battling but only when they are on the map. U can gain 6 hearts with your buddy in about 2 mins, feed him, take snapshot and play, then go to battle, scroll all the way down and do 3 practice battles with your buddy, u can leave as soon as u hit the opponent 1 time and it will count. Now that’s optimal berry usage 😂
I went to go fest with 4200 ultra balls. Had Daxi catch my level 50 Mewtwo reward and recall him noticing how I had like 3700 remaining lol

Maybe I’m just weird, but I love how consistently shadow pokemon attack. There’s almost no downtime waiting for them to attack like other mons. Especially the ones that float side to side of fly up. It makes it so easy for me to time my throws with shadow pokemon because I don’t get impatient waiting with them just staring at me
For players wanting to get platinum medals for each region (Kanto, Johto, etc) I think it can make sense to use rare candy on uncommon Pokemon solely for the Pokedex entry (stuff like Varoom or Skwovet)
Always use raspberries and bananas at gym. Get stardust but less health boom,use on other members in gym too

Daxi, I love this video and it's really helpful. But here's a question/challenge for you.
You reference a bunch of times something along the lines of 'if you don't have a lot of storage, then obviously keep less of this item' which works well in theory but in practice can be very difficult for new trainers.
So, what not do a "recreation" of this video, on a separate account, and how you would prioritize bag storage with a much more strict limit? I know you have that burner account from your lv. 1-40 in one day video, I have a hard time believing that account also has the maximum storage.
I think that the majority of trainers with like 4000+ bag space take the game seriously enough that they already have their own methods to manage storage, so I think doing this with a storage of about 600 would pose an interesting challenge.
That would be a good practice! I think when I say this I mean percentages though - so like pokeballs 70% of ur space, potions like 5%, etc. It all scales this way - maybe I could make a chart that like shows this

It's a bit hard for people to get all these resources if they're limited to outdoor time or if they're working a lot, so this can take a bit of time to get all the best items. But other than that, this is really helpful when you're struggling in even little situations.

In the end when you talk about keeping tms, I think you meant to say keep more CHARGED than FAST tms since we go through charged tms much quicker

I now dump rare candy into Enamorous, Palkia, Dialga, and for now Necrozma. But even of these is mostly Palkia for special rend.
I'm F2P so I always value items that do not come from stops or gyms. Razz, Nanab, and Pinap berries are only useful for tasks so I tend to delete them almost immediately. Revives I save unless its a slow time in pogo. I don't have a Go plus so I do delete pokeballs, doing this overtime will get me great and ultra balls long term so it works for me. evolution items I only keep all the sinnoh stones, all the others I delete. Trainer boosts, passes, lures and TMs I keep.
Now what to spend your coins on as a F2P player is drastically different then a P2P player in the sense where being reckless with your coins will hurt you long term from not just enjoying events but catching Pokémon. "What I would spend my pokecoins on if I was a new PoGo player with 1000 coins on Gofest global" video would help a lot of people. This means no tickets as you need to pay cash for them.
i would recommend if you dont have a lot of bag storage keeping atleast 3-5 of each evolution item as they are incredibly rare nowadays, idk how many tms you keep but depending on what you do (if you play gbl or raid a lot) or you just catch a lot you could delete a couple tms. Also most big events (like go fest, go tour or com days) will probably have people luring up everything so unless you're going for the medal of helping people catch pokemon with a lure you can keep a less amount of them as well. Im a F2P player too so this is just kinda what i do and i thought if you keep almost all of your tms but delete all of ur evo items you should maybe rethink that area a bit since tms are more common than evo items.
@@Ezanke11 I only tend to use regular TMs for when I'm trying to exactly mimic pvpoke to increase my DC on Pokegenie.
I run GoFest with 20 max revives and max potions, never had an issue. I dump poke balls all the time if I need room to possibly get great and ultra balls. If I still need room, I dump great to make room for ultras. I’m dumping my rare candies into Palkia so I can run Spatial Rend for all of GoFest. If you need room for GoFest, I recommend tossing TMs down to about fifteen of each; poke balls are the priority. I carry two of the evo items except the upgrade.
If you have an origin palkia or dialga with their adventure effect you can dump your rare candies in them to use. Hope that helps!
I delete my poke balls all the time. When you have a lot of stops you tend to have a lot of great and ultras. I got like 2300 ultras.

I typically keep at least 10 of each of the berries because occasionally the research asks you to catch with a specific type. That's the only reason I ever have nadab :p I have, from time to time, regretted having none for research when needed.

Don’t forget to save charge tms for getting rid of frustration as well during rocket events.
Before you delete the potions or revives use revive all the heal all
I also use my Ultra balls sparingly on really low catch rate pokemon that give out extra stardust like Audino or Trubbish.
I also just use red balls for really low level, high catch rate mons to save extra great balls for events.
I’m also very guilty of hoarding too many revives and potions, never know when I might find a gym that gets fought over for hours lol.

Keep the evolution stones when you level up to 42, you need at least 15 stones/ items

My go++ auto catches with all balls so mainly use pokeballs for catching, great balls for autocatch, save ultra balls for event auto catching.
For berries, occasionally drop them on buddies too
Nanab berries is my heart farming and gym feeding berry (basically the same as trashing)

As a level 35-40 with lots of pokemon missing in the dex should I use rare candies to evolve pokemon evolutions I'm missing even if they aren't that rare?

You should also be using atleast 9 nanab berrys or razzberrys a day for your buddy Pokemon to get your 3 hearts. Unless you use a golden razz berry which you shouldn’t waste those on buddy Pokemon unless you have an absurd amount due to a lot of raiding.
I dump my rare candy and XL on Mew.. trying to max out both, shiny and non-shiny
100 coins in my country only costs 0,31 cents and 550 is less than $2. I love living here 😂
what you can actually do is use nanab berries and razz berries to feed to gyms which if you do it pretty fast back to back then you can make 54900 stardust off of 60 berries and also just use the berries to feed them to your buddy or something or when you have a task where you have to use berries to catch a pokemon

As a long time player you really don’t need any berry except from the gold berry and maybe the silver just don’t throw them away but i don’t think they are as useful . Maybe if you really want you can keep some pinap berries but like 25 is far enough. Especially during regular days without any special events going on like go fest. Feed all of them in gyms.

You can feed your berrys to gyms and get like 10,000 star dust per gym
Here's how I manage my bag:
-Medicine: Minimum of 5 Max Potions and 5 Max Revives, and I use anything I pick up from spinning gyms to heal right away.
-Pokeballs: 50 Great, 50 Ultra and as many Poke Balls as I can hold.
-Berries: Minimum of 5 of each regular Berry, 50 Golden Razz Berries and as many Silver Pinap Berries as I can find.
-Trainer Boosts: As many as I can find. Never delete.
-Other items: As many as I can find. Never delete. Optionally, use 50-100 Rare Candies to free up space.
-Passes: As many as I can find. Never delete.
-Lures: As many as I can find. Never delete.
-TMs: 40 Fast TMs and 40 Charged TMs, and as many Elite TMs as I can find. Never delete Elite TMs.
-Evolution Items: Minimum of 5 regular evolutions items and all Sinnoh Stones and Unova Stones I find. Never delete Stones.
My bag space is only 1750 and I manage fine every day as an active free-to-play Level 49 player. I open the maximum number of gifts every day and spin stops if I get low on items.

I went 6 entire months without getting a single revive it was dire - I was forced to use the power up button as a default revive or use bs pokemon like pidgeys in raids and be carried by other people - so I hoard revives now and never delete them ever

Each and every berry is worth 30 stardust when feeding a gym, so I never delete a single berry from my bag but feed a gym with it instead. Bad idea to just delete them.
You delete berries? Why not feed them to gym pokemon to level up the gyms and to get stardust.

Fun Fact: Hyper Potion heals fully too so Max Potion heals the same.
After a month of never getting enough revives to revive my team, even being a player that plays a lot, I will never let my potions go below 500 and revives go below 700.
I know it is too much, but after 1 entire month having to stay below 3 golden gyms 1 hour every day for a month to get measley 10 revives, I won't h

Yeah don't discard your berries, feed your pokemon in the gyms with razz and nanab berry, you also get progress with your berry master medal, you need 15 000 berry given at gyms.
