Nice! I just fired my 5.3 in my 91 caprice. Long tube open headers 3" when it hit it shook my garage and house. My family thought my car fell on me. I wish u would have painted that engine bay and firewall. Please paint the car some other color but that bright ass blue!

Why you wait 40 years to tell me I could just paint an alternator? I been riding around all this time with clean engine bays except for the alternators.
Actually the case, stater coils and armature can be painted with no issues. You have to steer clear of the commutator/slip rings setup, the brushes and reg. Obviously steer clear of the bearings as well lol. All the coils are already coated in thick resin/lacquer to insulate them. Having a few extra microns of colour on top won't affect it. You could argue it might retain a few milli-degrees of extra heat but that is nothing in the scheme of things. Xx

Wire harness was Painless Performance p/n 60217 and ac compressor and accessory brackets was LSSimple from lssimple.net from Mr. Wallace. He has a TH-cam channel also called Murphy Wallace

Yes 36"....direct fit. I didn't cut it, I just let the excess lay over the intake and the back of the firewall. I could've went with a shorter one but I wanted to be on the safe side. It's better for it to be too long than not long enough.
Nothing cooler than a classic Chevy with LS power! The red and black looks good. As far as the rear end upgrade, you might want to consider an 8.8 from a 90's Explorer. They are limited slip with disc brakes. I am planning to use one for my 67 C10 build..... just a thought. Got one from Pull A Part for a little over 100 bucks. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!
I had an idea for that blue box Chevy. You want more chrome to bling bling?? You could install some corvette chrome side pipe exhaust system. You’d have a look n sound nobody else has. That blue box will sound like a blue dragon low growling monster sprayway! Cheapest I found was under $300 at Walmart online. Different styles to choose from.
