Great honest review! I agree with you on many points, including that the Beast is best for progression long runs. I look forward to my weekly long runs when I always lace up the Beast. Outsole doesn't have a dent yet at 110 miles.
Have not used it yet..I did hear that it was made more for a 3-4 hr marathoner and not for the faster people..unfortunately no one makes a long distance shoe that has the foam and upper to make long distance racing for the midpackers..
Great review. Bought and have ran 2 runs in the speed beast. I bought it bc it was marketed at first as a more stable and wide race shoe for mid pack runners. As someone who has wide flat feet that overpronates, i think the shoe will work as a raceday option as we dont have that many options out there!!
The speed beast is back! The new name for the speed beast is "GO RUN Alpha Tempo" get a pair from Skechers before they sell out. Happy Running everyone!
The roll out for this shoe has been horrible. I can't find a size 13 anywhere. There may be two sites that carry it, and there are about four reviews on TH-cam. Plus the shoe isn't even on the actual Skechers website. Anyway, it's nice to see a review from someone whose shoe size is over a 9.5.

Endorphin Pro 3 would work fine for a midpacker. Very good shoe.
3 hours is around 4:20 min per kms and that’s fast my friend not a lot of people can beat that time.
