Wow...this video brought tears to my eyes. I still cannot get over David passing away at 67. First person I ever saw in concert back in the early 70s. Just sad to know we lost both David and Glen in the same year. RIP to both David and Glen. Forever in our hearts.
my 1st album was Glen Campbell's Galvaston, my 1st crush was David Cassidy. This is great. So sad for Glen Campbell's battle with alzheimers. My prayers go out to him.
Climb Up On A Hilltop Baby That is such a great way to describe his gorgeous looks. I have always said he was gorgeous beyond belief, and beautiful on the inside, too.
David Cassidy did know how to play guitar at a higher level than most people understand or saw on the show. I'm not comparing the two artists here but Prince was a genius guitarist though not really known for that because he was so damn talented in other ways, also a superstar. So David's other kinds of fame would dominate no matter how talented a guitarist he was, is my point. Here is that clip from the Partridge Family that gives an idea of the music he liked to play but couldn't on the show: th-cam.com/video/O6GJvVOO-nE/w-d-xo.html For fun, here is Prince blowing away other musicians known as great guitarists, Prince enters around 3 1/2 minutes in: th-cam.com/video/6SFNW5F8K9Y/w-d-xo.html
Now Look at This Gem Here... WOW !!! Awesome..Two of My Favorite Musicians Together... R.I.P. Glen and Dave and Thank You for All The Great Performances and Memories ❤️❤️
It is very eerie people don't realize that David Cassidy is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease as we speak and Glen Campbell suffered from the same problem God Rest his soul such a great man The Rhinestone Cowboy still lives on in our hearts
Excellent Anthology music video! First time I see Glen Campbell and David Cassidy (Alias Kieth Partridge) which used to star on the good old TV musical comedy series "The Partridge Family" which I always watched every Friday night with my Mom. Yep! That was the good old days! Mucho Caliente!
I read somewhere where he was nervous doing this show. It may have been the first time he appeared on t.v. like this after PF first aired. Maybe he just got nervous from the excitement. David played in bands as a teenager I don't think it was because Glen was a better guitar player but it was nice that he stopped to make him feel comfortable. I don't even think David was 21 yet when he did this show.
Odd how they both passed away the same year. Both suffered from addiction and memory loss. So sad. But we were lucky to have them both. May they both rest in peace.
Both suffered from substance abuse, then Dementia - both died in 2017. Glen was older when he died, in his 80s. David lost his life at 67. So sad. RIP Glen & David. Thank you for your music and your talent.
I will always love glen Campbell and David cassidy! The fact that my family is from the area that glen Campbell is from in south west arkansas makes me happy that he didn't put on aires when I met him!!! God bless you in your next life !!! Your biggest fan, jenifersuzannesmith
Glen was a part of a group of studio musicians that were coveted by all of the big singers and bands of the 60s. They were called The Wrecking Crew. David knew Glen from the time he recorded his albums and albums for TPF show with The Wrecking Crew. Wes Farrell, the producer also used the same back up singers. One women sang twice. Laurie’s part and the little girl, Tracy’s part. Sometimes she’d sing Shirley’s part as Shirley was very busy. Anyway. Glen was a beloved and highly respected member of The Wrecking Crew, so talented and great musician and singer and sooo funny that he got his own show! I think it says a lot about David and Glen and those evenings they recorded all of those David albums. They had a blast and all of them were friends. Not an easy thing to have in show business. That’s why Glen had David on his show. What great guys. What I would give to be at those nighttime recording sessions!
it's so hearttouching to see them both smile and sing with a deep respect for each other ... the older and the younger Entertainer performing together ... so charming ... great ... R.I.P. David and Glen
I LOVE DAVID CASSIDY!!! He is my Teen Idol!! And I'm in my early teen years!!! I also LOVE The Partridge Family its my FAVORITE TV show and I LOVE The music from it as well!!! I Think this is a very good medley. The songs in it are VERY Groovy! Thanks for sharing this very rare gem!! :O)
David learned real fast how Elvis lived . The train picked him up at 20 years old. David got off the train after 6 years, Elvis rode that train for over 20 years until it derailed.
I don't think David Cassidy was ever saved. There's no record of him ever professing to believe in Jesus or that he obeyed the gospel to be saved. But his life does show that he slept with a lot of different women and that he destroyed his own life through drink. Both offenses will take you to hell at the end. 1 Cor. 6:9, 10, Rev. 21:8. It's always possible for someone to repent and get saved at the last minute, but not very likely. Two of my favorite people. I am trying not to cry as I see them together. It is so sad that they both got dementia. We won't forget you guys. I loved you both so much. Love forever.
Unfortunately, it was discovered that sweet David did not have dementia, but was still an acute drinker, which was the cause of his severe memory loss. I always thought this was the case, because I've seen alcoholics who showed the same signs as David did near end of life. David died of liver failure due to alcoholism. Respectfully, I wish his life had turned out differently, as he was multi-talented and an absolutely goodhearted Man and gentleman. I hope he found the peace on the other side that he didn't find in this life.
@@Thatgirl1965, I saw a video where Danny Bonaduce stated that David told him he could work with him on a tour if Danny would agree to not use drugs or alcohol. I understand that David was an alcoholic for many years but I believe not before he died.
What a video ! Incredible talent, and just think, when the Partridge Family first started they were going to have a studio musician sing David's parts....

This is so good, but very sad and poignant because both went on to suffer with dementia. It’s good to remember our heroes looking and sounding as they did and doing what they do best.
R.I.P. David Cassidy and Glen Campbell you Are loved ❤❤❤
My late Uncle Hal was a member of the Wrecking Crew along with Glenn Campbell.
Also was the drummer for the Partridge Family TV show

Here's the one thing about David - he sang with more joy than any singer I have ever seen. His zeal for life was infectious.
Scott Tracy you can say that again!

All pop artists perform with joy. Especially back then. The list of them is endless.
And just like that we lost them both in the same year...world got a little sadder and smaller 😢😢😢

Great talent! There’ll be plenty of music in Heaven boys! Love you forever David,R.I.P.❤️❤️❤️

This is one of the reasons why I love You Tube. Classic shows and concerts!
Ever notice how Glen easily adapts and can pair up with pretty much any other performer and it always sounds great?
my 1st album was Glen Campbell's Galvaston, my 1st crush was David Cassidy. This is great. So sad for Glen Campbell's battle with alzheimers. My prayers go out to him.
How sad we list both of these artists within a few month of each other in 2017. R. I. P
An unlikely duo, but they did really well together!
Cassidy was so much more talented than most realize. He had a great voice. He wanted to be known for much more than just a Teen idol.
Two huge talents. They deserved better at the end of their lives.
David was other worldly beautiful....
Agreed
Climb Up On A Hilltop Baby That is such a great way to describe his gorgeous looks. I have always said he was gorgeous beyond belief, and beautiful on the inside, too.
The best ultimate accurate description of this man ever Lee thanks :)
Perfectly stated.
Look at Cassidy attempting the rocka- billy style! so cute!
I come back to this video often - their voices blend so well together!

I agree - David was dreamy to listen to and look at! SIGH!
You can see how much David enjoyed singing with Glen !
Never would have dreamed back then that these two talents would die the same year.
May they both rest in peace. They sounded so good together. Glenn Campbell was the most underrated guitar player ever.
Davis wasn't only a great singer but a great guitarist too. Very under rated,,
