So lovely! I have that and the 12 heart mold! Truth be told? I bought the 9 a few years ago, it got moved, I couldn't find it. I broke down and got the 12 heart, and naturally, I found the 9 heart too, (I guess it wanted a friend- haha!). Your hearts looks so pretty. I think I might be over filling mine a little. I love the cards too, a beautiful, thoughtful gift that anyone would love! Thank you for sharing!! ❣❣
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed watching! Funny how (and when) our lost things turn up, isn't it? If my kiln could hold both the 9 and 12 of hearts molds I would like both. I might have to check! ;) It's always nice pulling a fresh batch of hearts out of the kiln, isn't it? A friend of mine makes holey hearts. I haven't tried that mold but might in the future as well. It would be nice if they made a 12 of holey hearts mold ;). Thanks again for watching and have a great day!
This has been a big help. I'm fairly new to this and have the BE heart mold. The bottom is molded and I've been trying to figure out how to make that the top side because it is the top that is shiny and beautiful. I guess I will need to put the piece into a fire polish fuse to get the molded side pretty.
I have the same mold you’re referring to. I’ve fire polished them and it helped but mine flattened a little more than I would’ve liked. I like how the hearts come out of the 9 of hearts mold. I haven’t had to fire polish the 9. Happy fusing and thanks for sharing your ideas!
Thank you! I found a woman on facebook that made the little people holders for hearts. I've since lost her information unfortunately. I believe she was part of a facebook glass group like Fused Glass Fanatics maybe. I had to send a check so I don't even have an email address.
Hello! I mentioned that once all of the hearts are full, I’ll bring this project to a full fuse. Full fuse schedules are fairly standard but specific to each kiln - so your schedule will likely have to be adjusted to your kiln. I mentioned that I also incorporate a bubble squeeze in my schedule. If you aren’t familiar with what a bubble squeeze is, check out @bullseyeglass tech notes 5. It's my hope that the audience watching my videos has a basic understanding of fused glass because I'm sharing project ideas rather than 101 tutorials. If you have any questions I'd be happy to share more information. Feel free to email me at redlanternglass@gmail.com!
I love listening to your voice Lisa as you explain the art of glassmaking. Such good advice to use bits and leftover pieces of glass; I actually like the way they add a special feature to the hearts…I like the cards too. Are they in Etsy?
I love the messages on the cards. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!!
Very pretty. Love the cards so thoughtful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!

These are beautiful! Where did you get the "people" glass heart holders? Thanks!

Where did you get the metal heart holders? Etsy or other?
I found a person through Facebook that welded the little holders.
NOTHING referencing a kiln or the temperature that glas will liquify and fuse into one glob.

Thank you! I’ll be listing these hearts on Etsy later this week. I also take custom orders if there’s a specific color you’re looking for!
