Super cute! I am new to glass could you tell me did you make the black dots? And if so how... Thank you. I've made dots just not that small :-) Also what size stringers? THANK YOU!
Thanks! I used coarse black frit for the small black dots. I just full fused them with my other sized dots. If you don't have coarse frit right now, try nipping a few small pieces of black glass. The stringers came either from a seller on Etsy (JL Glass www.etsy.com/shop/jlglass) or Tabitha's Glass Emporium (www.tabithasglassemporium.com/). Be sure they use the same COE glass as you do. I'm working with Bullseye glass. Happy Fusing!!
Welcome to the world of glass fusing! It's a bit addicting, isn't it?! The stakes in this video are about 7" tall. I've made all different sizes with different designs - for plants that are small succulents to large potted lilies. Here's a short that I made showing some of the smaller sized plant stakes. Have fun creating!! th-cam.com/users/shorts2bIfBq-6Qlw?si=wsP-WQXWKB-om5kQ
Welcome to the world of fusing! It's addicting :) If you can take a beginner glass fusing class, you'll learn a LOT of information on how to get started. I use a Paragon Fusion 19 kiln to fuse the glass. I am not a full-time artist so that size kiln works well for the number and sizes of projects that I make. You can find a lot of information online about glass kilns - but the resource I use the most for kiln information is www.kilnfrog.com. You can also find a lot of information here: glasscampus.com/tutorials.htm
Thank you! The curved plant stem is a stringer. Sometimes they are called vitrigraph stringers. You can find sellers on Etsy in the COE you're using. The ones I'm using in this video are from J L Glass Designs. I'm using Bullseye glass.
I sell the bird plant stakes for $25 in my Etsy shop. Shipping is free. Google/search @redlanternglass or visit the listing here: www.etsy.com/listing/1511036151/adorable-bird-plant-stakes-fused-glass?variation0=3605813234
I generally use Bullseye GlasTac (pink), but sometimes I'll use their blue GlasTac gel. I use just enough glue to help keep the glass in place until I transfer everything to the kiln. I typically let the glue dry over night before firing and I'm using a tack firing schedule.
Oh I just love the hearts used as bird shapes - so creative❤
Thank you!! 💗

These are so lovely! And I love that you are using up the glass you have, what a nice feeling!
Thank you! It really is a great feeling. I love using up scrap glass.
I am new to glass fusing. Could you tell me how you make all the pieces melt, and hold together please?

How much do you sell them for or do you sell them?

Do you soft fuse or full fuse them?
soft fuse, like a contour fuse, or however you like.
@@redlanternglass Thank you!!!🥰
Super cute!
Thank you! 😊
Hearts as birds is a great idea. Do you put a stake on yours, or do you just stick them pointy end down into the soil?
Thanks! I didn't add a stake, just pushed the pointy end into the soil. I think this size suits a medium to large pot best.
Adorable!
Thank you!!
Love the birds. Do you have a tutorial on the hearts. Valentines day is coming!
Thanks! A tutorial on hearts is a great idea. I’ll see what I can do!
Love them! Nice work. What is the glue?
I generally use Bullseye GlasTac (pink), but sometimes I'll use their blue GlasTac gel. I use just enough glue to help keep the glass in place until I transfer everything to the kiln. I typically let the glue dry over night before firing and I'm using a tack firing schedule.
So cool to see you create! Amazing!
