You make a compelling argument. Maybe if this video keeps doing well it'll signal to Forever Entertainment and Sega that the fans really want the original OST back.

It would be cool if Sega gave the option to choose the game's music from either the remake or the original/arcade in the beginning. Spyro's remastered Trilogy actually gives you that option.
I think that the new soundtrack is just okay, but it have no impact in the game like the OG did. In the OG, the soundtrack makes you go "FUCK YEAH" as soon as it start to play but in the remake is Just "hey, this is best we can do without having to suffer from copyright issues". SUPERB EDIT! I too miss the spooky jamminess of the original tracks! As dazzling and incredible the visuals are, I wished they stayed more faithful to the original compositions and instruments instead of going so off the rails. About licensing issues, I think the trickiest track will be the Chapter 2 theme, which features potentially controversial audio clips from the tragic Challenger Shuttle Disaster and a soundbite (the "Hello Daddy") from an existing song. As your video proves, the original tracks match EXCELLENTLY with the updated graphics, so hopefully the new devs can get the rights to the songs or - alternatively - redo the new tracks so they're closer to their original sources.
I knew there will be a video of remake but with original song and I'm glad someone made it. I find Sega's music is more fitting than their remake's music because it feels so 90s, considering the game sets in 1998 (And hey, I was an infant when it happened. Ha ha.) and they sound so iconic, loud, exciting, and haunting. Remake's music sounds so-so, but I don't blame the composer because of the so-called copyright issue. My hopes for Sega is to allow Forever Entertainment to remake the Sega's music for House of the Dead 2 Remake not compose their own so the game can have this as aesthetic and exciting as the original.

There are some people that are also saying "This game needs an online mode" I can see where they are coming from, but i think overall it needed to be local only, i mean, you don't go to an arcade put quarters in the machine, and somehow have a second player from Wyoming or somewhere playing second player on that same machine.
The Hangedman boss it just isn't the same without the Saturn boss theme and the overall boss theme is just an underrated gem, is by far the best boss theme after Magician's theme
The classic music is much better than the remake song. So far the 3d modelling was good but makes me sad they didn't use the classic of Magician theme song. Glad to hear you did put the classic hotd original.
@@ZillennialRosa Yes, that's pretty make sense. I don't if they can add setting classic song original or not. Your video with original hotd song way much much better :) My favorite boss is Magician. I can say he looks very badass
the thing I think this highlights more so than the merit of the remixed tracks is the audio balancing of the remake in general. this video is superior to the remake because you can actually like, hear the music lol
I adjusted audio settings during my playthrough to make the music louder by at least 20 and it was still drowned out by all the gun sounds and guy yelling at me to reload. With this video I tried to mix it closer to how the arcade version did things.
My only problem THoTD:R tbh is the Magician boss fight and idk why they dramatically nerfed him i mean look at him his dashes are very slow now compared to original. I dont have any problems with the Remake soundtrack i found it very vibin.

Also just like to add that the civilian that we see getting attack by zombies shouldn't be so helpless like at least try to attack or defend yourself.
They could have updated the scientist attack animations, especially by giving some broken legs or injuries or maybe a ball and chain or something. That being said thr animations at least hold true to the original.
this game title as Remake, but all experience I played it just Remaster. Fact is SEGA say they lost game source from HoTD 1 many year ago so this game has made from ground up entirely. This Remake could be better if they use most source and asset from HoTD-SD.
YESSSSS!!!! At first when i heard the main menu soundtrack i was really nervous on how the rest of the game was gonna turn out. Thankfully the game turn out great, except for the soundtrack. I wish they didnt butcher it.

@@ZillennialRosa The OG is where is at lol. But i cant deny the weapons they added especially the Pitter, I couldn't stop laughing after pinning them to the walls lol. I also agree with the frame rate, it did seem a little off to me.
I have no idea what will happen to the OST, but I'm assuming it'll be very similar to what happened with the current remake. It was done on purpose of course but they knew us fan would love it and man were they right
El chapter 2 tiene un aura especial cuando suena la cancion original, definitivamente mejor que la remake
Has anyone pointed out that Sophie's head is abnormally large in this game? This is a conversation that needs to happen.
That is a very good point.
Thank You !
The original music is far Better !
I read your comment as if one of the scientists were saying it.
I gotta say, i didn't hate the experience of the game, but the gyro aiming issue kinda hindered my experience overall. I hope they fix it sometime soon.
There are some people that are also saying "This game needs an online mode" I can see where they are coming from, but i think overall it needed to be local only, i mean, you don't go to an arcade put quarters in the machine, and somehow have a second player from Wyoming or somewhere playing second player on that same machine.
Gyro aiming took moments where I was enjoying the game and halted my fun because I was missing shots unnecessarily.
やっぱオリジナルの曲が一番ですねボス戦のGBMもこっちがかっこいいしアメリカ版は手足が欠損するから分かりやすい
ありがとうございました
The Hangedman boss it just isn't the same without the Saturn boss theme and the overall boss theme is just an underrated gem, is by far the best boss theme after Magician's theme
Music is a powerful thing
Chapter 2 with Aura of Dread is the next best theme to Magician's theme.
The classic music is much better than the remake song. So far the 3d modelling was good but makes me sad they didn't use the classic of Magician theme song. Glad to hear you did put the classic hotd original.
Without his theme song it just isn't the same fight.
@@ZillennialRosa Yes, that's pretty make sense. I don't if they can add setting classic song original or not. Your video with original hotd song way much much better :)
My favorite boss is Magician.
Now this is how it should of been from the start! Heck even if they could of remade the music or just applied the normal soundstrack over this one.
I'm just gonna mod the music in to the PC port of the remake and call it a day.
Why thank you!
Why they didn't offered in the remake a traditional ost option as well to begin with?!
Sega didn’t give the developers the right to use the original musics, so they have no choice but to make new ones
They could've atleast remixed it somehow, but this is perfect
They probably didn't have the rights to the original music.
@@ZillennialRosa wonder why?
@@fraserodonnell7618 I suspect it might have something to do with Sega not having the original source code which they lost in the 90s.
Are you using the Saturn version of the original soundtrack?
yes I am. I also made a version with the original arcade music on my second channel. You can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/ZQ0MUA4MR70/w-d-xo.html
@@ZillennialRosa Wow! Thank you so much! 😄
Will you do the same for Arcade Hardware music?
I did it over on my second channel with the PC version. You can watch the video here: th-cam.com/video/ZQ0MUA4MR70/w-d-xo.html
@@ZillennialRosa Thanks! Subscribed.
Kiryu Chan approves.
It's weird Project X zone can get House of the dead music, but not the remake?
I totally forgot about that. That is pretty strange.
Esto es a lo que llamo nostalgia pero remasterizada c,:
I hope they put they original soundtrack in the remake as a option
Probably won't happen due to legal troubles, but it'd be pretty amazing if we officially get that.
My only problem THoTD:R tbh is the Magician boss fight and idk why they dramatically nerfed him i mean look at him his dashes are very slow now compared to original. I dont have any problems with the Remake soundtrack i found it very vibin.
I too am starting to appreciate the new ost, but I still prefer the classic songs overall if I'm comparing them.
Original Soundtrack: Gothic and morbid tones, ideal for a mansion scenario.
Remake Soundtrack: Tales of the Crypt, Simpsons Treehouse of Horror, Beetlejuice, Goosebumps, all together, because why not?!
Yeah, they're somewhat similar but also totally different. I still like some of the new tracks, but they completely change the feel of the game.
Reason: Copyright
even more better!
I also did 2 extra versions with the Arcade and Saturn music edited to the PC version on my second channel. You can watch those here: th-cam.com/channels/quEYhQCqaNetRx7JP5Fsmw.html
8:55 HELLO DADDY XD
original soundtrack is the best.
I think it's saying "That don't scare me" but it's hard to tell.
This is actually good but in my opinion I would prefer if the mc could gain half zombie like state where he gets stronger after being infected while having complete control his sanity.
I hope they are working on a remake of the house of the dead 2
They are. There's talk about releasing it this year or the next.
The lava area is not very lava anymore or red
How is your framerate so crisp?
I'm not sure. It was still pretty choppy at points, but it might be because I'm playing single player and not in hoard mode.
this game title as Remake, but all experience I played it just Remaster.
Fact is SEGA say they lost game source from HoTD 1 many year ago so this game has made from ground up entirely.
This Remake could be better if they use most source and asset from HoTD-SD.
I'm not sure how well the SD source code would work, especially since Sega directly wasn't very involved with this remake.
Are you going to make a mod?
I hace no idea how to mod games but I'm positive once the game comes to PC that'll be the first thing someone does.
YESSSSS!!!! At first when i heard the main menu soundtrack i was really nervous on how the rest of the game was gonna turn out. Thankfully the game turn out great, except for the soundtrack. I wish they didnt butcher it.
I think the game itself is pretty good overall. My big critiques are the controls, framerate issues, and of course the lack of classic music. I like some of the new tracks alright but I really miss the OG music.
@@ZillennialRosa The OG is where is at lol. But i cant deny the weapons they added especially the Pitter, I couldn't stop laughing after pinning them to the walls lol. I also agree with the frame rate, it did seem a little off to me.
Instant like^^ Chapter 3 has the best Soundtrack ever
Chapter 3 is indeed a spooky bop.
If they remake the house of the dead 2 i hope they don't messed up the soundtrack.
I have no idea what will happen to the OST, but I'm assuming it'll be very similar to what happened with the current remake. The only reason I have to suspect we'll get remixes of the original tracks is the fact that Sega still has the source code for the original HOTD2, which wasn't the case for the first game.
The Saturn version is better to hear with the remake
I chose the Saturn version because the tracks are extended from the arcade version and they fit better with the graphics of the new game.
とにかくMagicianをもっとかっこよくしてくれてたらだいぶ評価は違ったのではないかね😂
