Companies like DKoldies and lukiegames ruined the hobby. I collected in the early 2000s before the smartphone and got great deals on games. Now that those days are over so is my interest in expanding my classic game collection.

How could the Retro Gaming Guy think this guy (BoomerSauce) was for real? So many red flags in his video trying to defend DKOldies. Fake bootleg game cartridge wrapped in cling film., retaped box, no invoice in box, no DKO warranty sticker on console, console missing screws on bottom, console way to dusty to have not been refurbished etc. I've also watched plenty of DKO unboxing videos and they never use packing peanuts. Usually bubble wrap and brown paper for packaging.
I believe he was trying to stay neutral.
No doubt in my mind he faked this however I still don’t believe he is doing a parody video. All his content consists of him defending dko. Dko has recently made requests for positive reviews… I think he figured he’d make one for them….he just didn’t place a order. It’s far fetched under normal circumstances to believe someone would think this would workout BUT something about him to me appears if anybody was going to watch this video and say “yep…he nailed that”….it would be him.

TBH, after seeing Boomer's vids. I'm kinda on his side now. He brings up a lotta good points. I’ve stumbled across this dude accidentally by typing in “ReviewTechUSA DKoldies” and I found one of his videos attacking Rich and claiming BS to defend DKoldies. Anyway, what’s funny about this vid is there are many red flags in this vid from the shipping label being hidden over the folds to the DKoldies warranty sticker being nowhere to be found. But what steals the whole show is the dude showing a multi-game cart, which is highly against DKoldies’ standards on the retro market. If I remember correctly, DKoldies admit that they’re highly against bootlegs and repros, and will only use them to “train their employees”, but not sell them. Also, I may not be an expert in retro gaming business, but it’s highly illegal and risky to sell anything that’s not only fake, but also, contains the IP belonging to big game companies without their consent. So, what this DKoldies simp just did is lied to the whole internet that DKoldies sells bootlegs and repros, which is not only defamation to their business, but will likely put a bounty on them once the word has gotten big and companies like Nintendo starts giving them cease and desist. Honestly, in my book, that’s pretty messed up, especially if you’re a Dkoldies simp trying to defend them. And if he were to delete the vid, the internet community will reupload it back.

However, I have seen local game stores sell rom-hacked games, bootlegs, and repros.
They label them as such though and usually are in their own section/case (at least the stores near me do)
I've also seen kiosks at malls for a while sell those '1000 in 1' chinese bootleg same systems. And whenever I am at game conventions vendors always have the rom hacked games....some tables that's all they were selling lol.
