It works with room to spare on my suppressor hight sights that came with my PSA slide on for my glock. Might depend on the firearm and how close they make the rmr footprint to the rear iron sight
Wow, talk about good timing. I was just going to get one of these to put on my first gen S&W MP Performance Center 9L, which I run suppressed with suppressor height irons. Very timely video indeed.
Hey, brother, I'm seeing people complaining about the dot not holding zero just from being bumped around like what happens with normal use. I don't know you, but you do seem trustworthy. So, in your T&E, can you look for that and include it in your video, good or bad? I'm aware some people don't like Olight and will create problems, because negative content drives viewership, but there appears to be a pattern of this complaint.
No problems for me. They have lifetime warranty and can exchange it if you have issues. I do have the same issue with this reviewer and need to put it on a different pistol
I am just a rando with no free stuff givin to me, i have holosun, trijicon rmr, and an osight, and honestly i love them all, i feel people forget a budget optic is just that, a budget optic, its not indestructible but its a pretty good sight for the money, smacking 6 inch steel plate after steel plate all day long on my m&p with the osight, so in my opinion, that shits pretty cool, and dont forget to use the correct screws and locktite!
It’s like they didn’t even test the sight to begin with. Not holding zero and doesn’t let you charge with higher sights.. these are problems you would’ve noticed with even just a smidge of handing out test versions
It actually has a ton of high end features for the cost. If your iron sights sit back about 1/8” from your RMR cut, the hood will fit. Otherwise wait for the redesign. Their engineers have been notified of my video.
@@awesomedave8484 no I love dots, but prefer those that don’t rely on a proprietary setup, but I’ll always have irons that will cowitness through the glass in the event technology inevitably fails you.
@@RidinDirtyOutdoors what do you mean? Unless you have a solar backup types of dot your battery will either die or fail. Most likely die, in which case Osight charger mitigate that risk. If your battery / dot fail and you need to use the gun you go with backup sight. Not sure why the battery bothers you so much especially considering you have zero evidence of its reliability.
But you should technically only have to charge it between three and five years. I’m also guessing that the small magnetic chargers that their edc flashlights come with may work. But I don’t know that for a fact just putting it out there.
Not sure what’s under there. Might be the internal battery bank. 🤷 Shouldn’t have to though. Most people who run optics also use tall irons. OLIGHT didn’t account for that.
Thanks for this super valuable information. Nobody else has mentioned it. I’m glad there are honest reviewers like you out there watching out for us. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
God another shitty olight slapped onto another firearm. When are people gonna realize olight sucks and they have a higher body count than most of these wanna be guntubers.
@HarleyWood23 olight will never listen to their audience. They will take feedback from the masses. Then, one dipshit employee will say something stupid, and they will go with that dipshits suggestion first.
Time for the Dremel 😂
My exact thoughts 🤣🫡
Time for a new optical and get a refund hahaha

I'm glad I saw this because I just got a PSA dagger and was wondering if the suppressor height sights on that would be an issue for this.
@@ricksanchez3695definitely…what kind of gun is that in this video. ?

An actual useful video that’s titled “before you buy…”

no problem with my XS sights, which looks the same as this. But it's actually a Glock MOS
I had to file my suppressor height sights on my shockwave to get the charger to fit. No big deal, my shockwave is truly one of a kind now ;)
Thank you! I was thinking about getting one, but I know now not to! You saved me!

PSA Rock with suppressor height sights. No issues.
Oh wow, an olight red dot, what could possibly go wrong there?
Do you think they figured out how to make a red dot explode too?
Also, there's a GREEN ONE, too! Saw this on DemoRanch litterally an hour ago. Functioning AK50 is there if you're interested.
Also, I have NOTHING to do with sponsers. No judgement. I love the charging thing but I am scared of everyone I buy until I get 1000 through.
@@ColdStartAutomismatch improper batteries in any light and leave it on for hours and it’ll explode.
I cannot believe they seriously came out with a optic lmaooo 😂😂
Proprietary built in rechargeable lithium battery….no thanks, that’s gonna inevitably fail at the worst possible time
lol sounds like you had a hard time leaving irons too.

I have seen this with the imitation Glocks. My M&P's don't have this issue.
Thank you
More importantly doesn’t hold zero and has distortion at the top of the optic. Wanted to buy but I’ll wait for v2.
Well the RMR holds zero after getting bumped around. Lol
And it doesn’t break after getting looked at wrong
And knowing is half the battle!
Did it stay zeroed for you ?
Could that piece be Dremeled out?
Yes but shouldn’t have to if it was properly designed.
Does it still charge even tho the housing doesn’t clear it?
Explained in the full review video. No. It won’t connect to charge.

Aint no way this dude got an olight red dot 😂 the hi point of weapon attachments
Hive mind
they (olight) sent him a red and a green dot.
Come on, Wood trim that down a shade. Are you a parts changer now?
Are we surprised O light brand optics are trash?
Trim the case
Why? It should have been designed to accommodate the tall sights that majority of people use along with a red dot.
