    I find these comparisons fascinating. In the first instant it's quick and easy to choose my favourite sounding speakers. The problem is, the longer I listen the more difficult it becomes. I start to hear positives and negatives with both speakers. Fascinating nontheless.

      I thought I knew. But then after watching this I have no clue. Decisions.... Decisions....

    the a5s have a bit more bass, but the yamaha has a creamier mid range sound? Man I would love to have the attributes of both!

      a5 only need dac d1 and its gonna make it better treble and power, yamaha only need subwoofer, win win both

    These videos are a great ear workout. The Yamaha's here are true studio monitors, they sound completely flat. Oddly enough, I have the Audioengines and to my ears, there's a huge and annoying bump in the midrange. I have to use them for mastering at the moment and have to be careful not to be tempted to suck too much of 250hz-1khz out of the mix.

    Yamaha more flat and open, easy to have more bass with sub, love the Yamaha middle high tone. Iam going to Yamaha HS8😊

    @digitalstereophony I have to say that your choice of tracks are really great. At the same time, i think the artists or musicians behind those well sounding music should be credited at least in the description. I have been trying to find the Dream a Dream song used in your videos, but still no luck :(
    Therefore, can you please list credits of music used in the videos.
    Thanks.

      Music I use in newest videos is royalty free music. I will upload all the tracks to TH-cam tomorrow so anyone can have a comparison with original tracks and link the tracks in description of videos ;)

    Can you review other non-powered bookshelf speakers, for ex: Mission Lx-2, or any other similar speaker with same amp.

    • @DSAUDIOreview
      @DSAUDIOreview  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Powered speakers are not on scheadule any time soon

      Digital Stereophony you mean the non-powered ones, right?

    • @DSAUDIOreview

      I meant passive speakers... Sorry :P

    • @zahed3021
      @zahed3021 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Digital Stereophony it would be great if you start comparing some passive speakers, not now, maybe later on.

      I think You are mistaking "good" with "popular". These two are not equal...

    Hs5 is For a little room for Mix and Mastering low Bass but Clear Sound

  • @quirkyquester
    @quirkyquester ปีที่แล้ว

    A5 has more mid or bass than the yamaha. Yamaha has more clarity. they both amazing speakers tbh. yamaha is def fire tho. If I have to pick, yamaha any day.

    Too much base on 5+

  • @misamarinovik6215
    @misamarinovik6215 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    AE seems to have an extra dimension in the lows that according to my ears doesn't belong there but the Yamaha is lacking in the exact same spot. Damned if you do damned if you don't.
