"That's how they actually sound after audio..." I would like to say you are mistaken. It was just them shouting. When some artists use auto tone, BTS can sing live like fire. You should check out their live performances dude. And they don't even use green screens the set are made without green screen.
And also our fanbase is not limited to mere high school crowd. People over 60+ are also there in our fanbase. You guys seems not to know about how they formed and all. I recommend you all to check out their history, personalities of 7 members separately. Then you will get a sketch idea about them. You guys have way more to go to learn about them.
But any way I 'm happy that more people are discovering them recently.
Most importantly I recommend you all to check the records they broke. Not to forget they even broke MJ's records.

"I feel like if I was 15 or in high school I'll be a big fan." I'm 43 and I've been a fan since 2018. BTS' fans (called ARMY) are so diverse. They have fans from different ages, from very young to as old as 80+ years old. Their music transcends languages, races and genders. They are the biggest group now and the most successful Korean artists.

Yes, I’m 44 and I’ve been an army (BTS fandom) since 2019 . You should explore more of their songs. K-pop is just an industry really, not a genre, BTS has so many different genres and they’ve been a group since 2013. To know more about them and where they came from, you should try to react to the 7 member of BTS by taylor. It’ll be a long video but we’d be more than happy to watch your long reactions.

Most of their fans are actually in their thirties. Though it is spread out from young people to older people, all nationalities, genders, ethnic backgrounds and demographics.
Their songs have deep meaning in their lyrics and MVs. They are very humble and intellectual.
They write, produce and compose most of their music, or at least have their hand and say in the music they release.
Their debut was June 13th 2013, but they had been put together since 2010.
They were originally supposed to be a hip-hop group but later their CEO, Bang si hyuk decided to debut them as idols.
Their discography is extensive and there is always a song that you will like. They have Japanese albums as well, with amazing songs. They are all amazing dancers, and some started dancing since they were kids, others learnt to dance during their trainee days, well... They all had to do dance training to learn choreographies and improve themselves.
The youngest is born in sept 1997 was 13 when be joined and 15 when they debut and the oldest was born Dec 1992, he was around 19 when be joined and 20 when they debut.

I'm a 53 year old music-loving mom & started discovering BTS within the last year or so, because after Butter, I wanted to learn their names & to identify them by voice, just to learn something new to me. I wasn't expecting to become awestruck at every song, but here I am a year later not only awestruck at their songs, but also their talents, their personalities, their work ethic, their authenticity, & their love of their fans. There is much to learn about them & it can be overwhelming, but I'm still on the journey. I'm subscribing, because I love your curiosity about them & I love to watch the BTS journey of others. Others here are giving plenty of suggestions, so just take it step by step & enjoy! 💜

No, you don’t have to be 15 to love BTS. I am 31 years old and have traveled to watch them live multiple times. There’s nothing like these guys. They are extremely rare and there’s nothing like these 7 “normal” boys from South Korea. RM the leader is extremely intelligent and if you dive deep into his lyrics you’ll understand why they are so successful. His poetic ability is out of this world, Blood, Swear & Tears is based off the novel Demian by Herman Hesse. Suga is a highly credited producer in SK. He is absolutely one of the main reasons for all of their successful songs. Jungkook is the most talented, multi-faceted artist I’ve ever seen in my 31 years. Jimin is my bias and he’s absolutely incredible, there’s absolutely nothing like jimin. Your eyes will automatically land on him while his performing, vocals, moves, he is the axis. Jin is absolutely stunning visually and his silver voice is so incredibly rare. He’s everything. V is absolutely stunning as well, I’ve never seen a more beautiful human being. When I saw him in Vegas he was not human. J-Hope is everyone combined. BTS is nothing without Hobi.

Long story short, this is the song that introduced me to BTS. I heard a few seconds of Suga's part (blue haired rapper on floor piano) and the rest is history. Since then I have never went a day without watching or listening to them.
"Gangnam Style" by PSY is K-pop and he's released more music since then. That song was his biggest hit. He recently collaborated with Suga of BTS on a song called "That That". I recommend adding that to what will be a LONG list, lol.
BTS debuted June 13, 2013. So if ever you see the numbers 613, its their anniversary date. They also have annual celebrations called Festa where they celebrate the anniversary of their debut.
Don't go by hair color, lol. They change their hair color and hair styles a lot.
Btw...the have the record for most views of a music video in 24 hours. "Butter" the first song you reacted to had 108 million views in the first 24. They broke their own record. In 2020 they set a record for 101 million views for their first English song, "Dynamite". And always turn on subtitles. Their lyrics are deep.
Thanks again for another great reaction. I highly highly recommend watching the introduction to BTS. There are 2 amazing fan made ones. One by Taylor Nakamoto and the other by Rice Squad.

They started out as a hip-hop group with two underground rappers in 2013 (one of them also producing) by Big Hit (you'll learn that they're not a boy band) and eventually became the biggest group worldwide and ever. They're the same age they were born from the eldest being born in 1992 and youngest born in 1997. If you watch their documentaries please note that Koreans when they're born they're considered 1 year old, when it's new year everyone is also a year older and plus their birthdays. They produce, write and compose their songs.

99 percent of their music videos have subtitles. You can just turn on captions and read the lyrics. But im telling you, their lyrics.. most of the times have so much depth in them, it has layers to it. Their music and lyrics is always open to have a discussion from any viewpoint. Each one of you can have different opinions on what their songs are about but you all will finally end up on single concept and reasoning.

Only two had dancing backgrounds when they met. They debuted in 2013. I don’t know of any ‘boy band’ in recent years that have the depth of talent and broad range of musical styles that they do. They are consummate performers, perfectionists in their craft and should definitely not be clumped with groups who cater to a younger demographic. Go for a deeper dive; you won’t regret it. Me encanta Colombia. Buena suerte en este proyecto.

Heh heh. You picked two of their poppiest songs.
They started as hiphop group (the first two members were underground rappers).
These guys kicked the door open for their industry in the western world, and their come-up is something else (even though the kpop industry initially tried to shut them out).
Maybe check out ON Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop, and Black Swan. But really, it takes about twenty songs to start to understand what they can do.
The group formed around RM (the leader and main rapper). The same way a band auditions members to find the right fit.
They do write and produce much of their music working with in-house producers. They are also comprised of actors, directors, musicians, trained dancers, philanthropists, and all around humble human beings.
They have spoken at the United Nations three times and were at the White House earlier this year as part of the South Korean special presidential envoy.

The music video you've seen is just a pleasant part of BTS. If you watch all the music of BTS, you will know that there are many songs with deep worries and philosophy.Never have a prejudice that it is an easy song for children.BTS captures many things in the music, such as youth's worries, wandering, discrimination, and depression. The reason why many people like BTS is that they are healthy and give hope to many people with their songs.

How was BTS formed? They all auditioned for Big Hit (their company), the 3 rappers in 2010, 3 vocalists in 2011 and one more in 2012. Then they signed a contract as trainees and began their training and evaluations (which as a result used to lead to the departure of some trainee). Since none of them are from Seoul, they all left their homes and went to live in the company dormitories. By the end of 2012, it was defined that the 7 of them would be the ones that would debut. As you will see, they have lived together for many years, most of them living together, so they are brothers more than groupmates.
To your question if they are musicians? Yes, they all are. They all play instruments, several more than 2. They write, compose, dance and also participate in production, concept design, they even propose ideas for MV's; one of the rappers, in addition to being one of the group's producers, also works with others and with companies.
They also hold bachelor's degrees and study for their master's degrees.
The rappers are among the best in the industry, two of them were known in the underground before auditioning, the other already learned in the company, but is an excellent dancer.
The vocalists are extraordinaries, they have very good technique, as well as wide vocal ranges since they all exceed 3 octaves. There is a tenor, a lyrical tenor, a countertenor and a baritone.
The 7 have diverse tonalities, registers and ranges, as well as their own styles, which they also know how to amalgamate well so that they all shine in their parts and none overshadow the others.
By the way, with them I assure you that you will enjoy their content singing live (there is a lot on TH-cam) since they equal and generally surpass the studio versions.

I'm 74 and a big fan to the most diverse discography I have ever seen. Turn on subtitles to see the lyrics. There are videos explaining meanings of some of more complicated and cultural meanings. They started in 2013, had a difficult time due to coming from a small agency. They write most of their own music and discuss many difficult topics like mental health. Many fans prefer their Korean or Japanese songs. Check out some live concerts like from Wembley or Brazil. Also Black Swan and Not Today are beautiful videos.

I personally don't like Kpop, most Armys don't like it either. Something wrong that people usually think when meeting BTS for the first time is that they are Kpop BTS is not Kpop because they make music of different genres and are very versatile, each member has their own style and they show it in their solo songs, for now they have only reacted to the most Pop songs, here are some different recommendations:
    Run BTS
    Outro tear
    Mic drop
    Danger
    Spring Day
    Heartbeat
    Magic Shop
    Not today
    Interlude Shadow
    Ego
    Idol
    Fake love
    Black swan
    Anpanman .
You can also react to his individual music Jhope released an album recently and did a Lollapalooza performance this year, his album is called Jack in the box and the title songs are More and Arson
Jimin released a song this year it's also called "with you"
Suga released a song in collaboration with gangnam style singer, the song is called "that that" and it's very good
V also released a song called Christmas Tree
and Jungkook released a song this year with charlie puth called left and right

pls dont discredit other kpop groups like that. you should know very well that other groups experiment with different genres too. something that has made BTS stand out is their story and their moving lyrics but BTS arent the only ones, and honestly BTS music hasnt been the same recently and i dont even think they are at fault but BTS was known fro their deep and touching music, and recently its hasnt been the same as much, (not including -yet to come or RUN BTS and some others) Nevertheless , BTS is amazing i have much respect for them, they introduced me to KPop and im forever thankfull fro that but there are groups that work as hard as them and make great music, just because some might not write or produce their own music ,doesnt make them less important. some artist like SKZ and TXT are making music fro youth too and anyway, at the end of the day music is music its suppoesed to be enjoyable not everthing has to be deep. so just careful with your words.

      @@g-buddy8622 agreed. By all means,
Only like BTS if you want, but as many people have pointed out, Kpop isn’t a genre, it’s an industry made up several genres that just happen to be sung in Korean (majority). It irks me when people generalize all of it.

@@hatrgatr yeah ,its made up of a lot of genres. i think it justs irks me because then they might think "oh only BTS make this style of music other kpop groups are probably not great" and sadly its based on assumptions that were fed by (mainly) some ARMY and its just not fair to the rest of the groups. and yeah if you only want to like BTS thats fine but they dont have to drag the rest to lift up your favorites, its just not how it works, and i truly dont mean to be rude to the person just dont give people bad assumptions of KPOP

    Thank you for reacting!!!
Suga of BTS said, ““I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content’. K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.”
BTS came from a very small company that almost went bankrupt at one point. They have worked hard to where they are today.
BTS write, compose, and/or produce their own music. Along side their in-house producers. BTS have a say in everything they put out.
BTS lyrics are very important and a big factor and one of the main reasons they are so big. They talk about; mental health, bullying, social problems, regret, follow dream, self love, etc. Majority of their songs (like 90%) of their songs that sound like love songs about a partner actually are not. They are usually about self love or their fans called ARMY (ps the second rapper called us out in this song! Plus all the other members where spelling ARMY behind them as RM was rapping)!
BTS have gone through A Lot of hate, racism, xenophobia, etc. people trying to push them back to this day. A number one rule, especially for ARMY, is to trust BTS before anyone else. BTS has always been honest and keep their promises…
BTS are some of the chaotic, humble, hardworking, and sweetest people. BTS are like family to each other and love one another very much.
What genre of music do you guys listen too?

As others have stated, their fan base is very diverse. I'm 71 and have been a fan since 2018. They were put together by a man named Bang Si-hyuk, who was a successful producer and songwriter. There are 3 rappers and 4 singers. Interesting to note that originally they were to be a hip-hop group. The plan obviously got changed, but only two of the members previously had extensive dance experience - the rest all had to learn! As far as typical k-pop sound, one thing to know is that BTS is not typical k-pop. In fact most fans agree that BTS is their own genre because the do so many different genres. Since you are singers yourselves I would suggest you check out their BTS Room Live Festa video from 2021. They do a medley of 8 songs spanning from their beginning in 2013 through 2020. Also, the video of the 4 vocalists' live performance of House of Cards shows off the 4 singers vocal abilities. If you want a quick introduction to each of them check out A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor. Love your reactions!

They're actually grown men, the eldest about to hit 30 and still going strong. I'm also a fanboy and have been since debut, was and still am a huge SHINee , 2NE1 & Super Junior fan (2nd generation Kpop group) The world of Kpop is amazing but BTS are different, the first to target taboo subjects in Korea, they have an important message of loving oneself, they're more than just a singing dancing boy group, they've saved many people & taught so many how to love themselves. They truly are a wonderful journey & I hope you enjoy if you plan to carry on.

I'm writing this comment as a 65-year-old male proud BTS fan. We are called ARMY.
I'm glad you guys are discovering BTS and I'm glad you're liking what you're hearing so far. These songs are not really representative of the bulk of their massive catalog. If you'd like to hear some of their Hip Hop, and there are a number of them, I'd recommend the Steve Aoki remix video of Mic Drop.
There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in the group. They compose, write and produce most of their music themselves or in collaboration with others.
They each have solo work as well as solos sometimes within their concerts. Each of them are recognized writers and producers. A couple of them have also produced for other artists.
Their genres include hip hop/rap, pop, R&B, EDM, Latin pop and ballad.
Remember that while they are technically categorized as a K-Pop group K-pop is not a genre. It is originally an American term for popular Korean music.

They have taken years to get to the top struggling through hatred, xenophobia, homophobic slurs, racism and more but they battled through and came on top. They are much more than a Pop group they are a revolutionary group for the youth today. They sing on social issues such as depression, mental health issues, society issues and they contribute or write and produce most of their music. As a huge Encanto fan, as well as a BTS fan, I really perked up when I saw the magic words "Colombians react to BTS" in your thumbnail description. "Hola, Casita!"
    🤩 😍 🇨🇴

Caption/ subtitles is a must when watching BTS 💜 💜 i fell in love with them because of their amazing relatable lyrics. And yes they write mostly of their songs. Main song writer is RM the leader, suga. But every one of them makes their own music. They have their solo projects too.

Hi, please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm an older woman and LOVE LOVE BTS. They are not your "regular" boy band. Most of their music is in Korean, with a splash of English. They basically write and produce their music. The music they write about is more of an intellectual type, they are inspired by psychologist Carl Jung. They write about things that matter. You have to check out some of their older songs MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE CLOSE CAPTIONS to read and understand the lyrics. Some MV'S have explanations videos. Also there are videos about how they became "From nobody to Legends" they suffered a lot. We their fans are called "ARMY"
The group has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists
I'm sure other ARMYS have left comments as to which MV to watch. I would start out with
"On" Kinectic Manifesto. You watched Butter but you should also watch it done at the 2022 Grammys. Anyway hope you enjoy the journey as I have, going down the proverbial "rabbit hole" 💜💜💜😊

Now, watch it again with the English CC on!! I do hope you read all the comments on your first reaction. Several of us answered the questions you started posing at around 3:49 in this video over on that video, and made suggestions on how to get to know BTS better. I'm not going to repeat the book I wrote over there on this one as well. Hope you continue to enjoy the journey of BTS, who are More than K-Pop in my, and many others', eyes. Also, P.S., I'm 65 and their audience spans many generations and also has a fairly significant male audience. It's not Just young 15 year old girls or whatever, which is the stereotype everyone thinks, although there is nothing wrong with them enjoying BTS' music too.

Subscribed as it is always fun to watch someone discover BTS and Welcome to a world you never knew exists of hehe, also please dont get overwhelmed by the comments and requests we ARMY(BTS's Fandom) are known for our loyalty and enthusiam for the band! Hahah That being said If you want to know more about the group you can react to some songs first and react on the guide, my personal favorite is guide to bts member, the bangtan seven by taylor, It is a bit long but please dont worry about the length, we watch it if you are down to learn about us and the boys!
For some song as a beginners my suggestions would be
    Fake love
    Mic drop
    Idol
    Truth untold
    Spring day
    Run BTS
    No more dream
If you are into hiphop and rap, UGh, Ddaeng and moving forward you will have more than 300 songs to react to, hahahah and tons of other contents that you wont be catch up even in couple of years so we are fine if you take your time with it hahaha and sorry for this long comment! Welcome again!

They write, both music and lyrics, and produce much of their music. RM has over 200 writing credits and is the youngest full member of KOMCA. Suga is the 2nd youngest. Suga also writes and produces for other artists, including Juice WRLD and Psy.
Trying to keep track of them thru their hair color is an impossible task, they change it constantly, sometimes in the same MV.

I joined the Army about a year and a half ago and believe me when I say falling down the rabbit hole happened fast and it’s been such a pleasure getting to know them every since. I recommend that you all watch an introduction video and turn the subtitles on. Their live performances are the best, they will blow your mind and they also have dance practice video that will blow your mind also, if you’re interested in that. I personally love any and everything BTS. Hope you enjoy the journey 💜

Thank you guys! love your reaction so far. Enjoyed watching you guys having fun. Also turn your captions on so that you can understand their song. I will definitely root for you on your journey to BTS. Welcome to the rabbit hole, you will surely enjoy them as a group. They're the most genuine person I have ever met and their love for their fans (ARMY) is beyond comparable. If you want to know them more about them you can watch the video Introduction to BTS by Taylor, It is the most comprehensive video of them from 2013-2022. Hope to see more of your reactions. BORAHAE! “15 or 16 years old……” haha!“Army since 2016 - just turned 50. They are so much more than you could imagine. I’ll watch you and see if you all catch on… lol
You may want to see the mv of “Mic Drop -Steve Aoki remix”. You’ll get a whole new genre with it. These two songs are pretty poppy.

I’m 73, became a fan 3 years ago … living my second childhood? They have some good songs and great choreo.
Black Swan - incorporates modern dance
Airplane Pt 2 - Latin vibe
ON - Kinetic Manifesto - marching band meets hip hop
    To name a few
PSY - Gangnam style. Recently did “That That” with Suga (one of the rappers of BTS - who also produces for BTS and other artists) All of the BTS members having credits for lyrics and production.

This is bts by xceleste is a great way to learn about who they are and why they are popular. But an introduction guide is a good way as well
They debut as a hip hop group in 2013. The Fandom is FILLED with age ranges from in their 20 -70 + and different creed, gender and ethnicity.
Also in Korea you basically audition for a company or you get casted for your looks. You train in the company for up to a couple of months or years learning rap, dancing, singing, acting and language and then they debut you in a group. You live in a dorm with other group members as well.
The reason BTS is so global and loved is because they started off from a small company and worked their way up. They logged their entire journey from pre debut so many fans feel like they grew up with the guys.

@@CCWReact it really is. These guys write, produce and compose their own music( you will learn in the guide). They are humble af and incredibly hard workers.
They use Korean and English in their lyrics and in their more deeper songs their lyricism is jam packed with meaning along with the video so don't forget closed captions
They use as much practical effects as they can in their videos
All of the members are in their early to late 20's.
